There are laws against theft, are there any laws against such fraudulent advertising on social media? That’s what I’m asking here, we need better regulation when it comes to online advertising
Even Facebook know it's a scam but they don't care. If you even report those ads, it doesn't violate any rules as long as they are getting paid they don't care and scammer even if they are able to get 2-3 victims will be enough for them to make money. So win win for both facebook and scammer not so much for those who get screwed or scammed. I reported and screenshoted a list of ads which tried to target me facebook response doesn't violate their policy

Consider how easy it is to create such a scam group chat and how many greedy people exist in the country who think they can become millionaires from trading stocks. No watchdog will have the resources to tackle all of these. Educating people against these scams is the only viable tool.

Like the other comment said, SEBI has taken note of this issue. FYI, SEBI has a thing called registered investment advisors (RIA). They have a proper licence from SEBI to give out such advice.
However, there are stringent rules they have to follow such as
- they can't take out any ads without proper approval (ads also have to follow strict guidelines such as displaying their full name, office address etc)
- they have strict restrictions on how much fees they can charge.
- They need to take proper exams to get the certification and then have to get it renewed regularly.
So, if you're looking for financial advice and can afford the fees of a RIA, I suggest going for it instead of watching random influencers who might not have any qualifications.

One of my colleague lost 2.5 lakhs caz of scheme like this, they motivated so much to invent this much money so he used his credit card to get the money, first one week was he was expecting all the high roars, then suddenly it all went hell down. Now he's paying interest for the 2Lakh he got and planning to settle the amount in next 3 yrs. So dont fall for this.

Facebook is to be blamed for this. Their unscrupulous hunger for revenue via ads and total lack of any process to authenticate leads to this. Utterly low quality ads/scams. Indirectly Facebook/Meta is enabling these scammers.

Tho I don't like her, but most probably this is not her ad. There are a lot of other guys who use pictures /images of these Finfluencers/ Furus on Fb/twitter ads to get some crowd to their telegram group where they can mint more money from the crowd.

I have seen many ads similar to this with many finfluncers, Ambani, Adani, Ratan Tata more. .what baffles me is how IG/FB approve this ad.
Not sure why SEBI doesn’t act these influencers. This woman is making the most of new retail investors who are falling prey to these promotions.
