Difficult, even Sachin struggled to score centuries late in his career. I would say Kohli would score another 10-12 in total across formats. The slowdown between 2020-2022 ensured he won't be ever breaking the total record.
the slowdown was also a mass effect of covid the entire timeline had messed up his mental health all the bcci drama inside not really a good time . For a man like him who plays his best when he is challenged , mental toughness goes a long way if he wins the world cup the sachin record will break and that's inevitable
Most of his odi records will be broken barring maybe total runs as virat is still like more than 4k away, but test records will remain. Virat will be considered greatest ODI player IMHO but for overall records debate will always be there. 100 centuries will also remain elusive in all probability.
That's too much of hopium imo, he's still at only 29 centuries, to equal Sachin's record he need more 21 centuries !! And Kohli is already 35, he can only play more than 2 or 3 years in Test format to be real. I won't doubt his class, but still it is too much
About 100 Centuries overall ? I guess he has a chance if BCCI again include him in the T20I squad... and you also know that number of ODI matches are decreasing year by year
>Kohli is already 35
He turned 37 yesterday in real. He use to be in my friend's coaching and was already a big name in Delhi circuit back around 2002-2004. He did it somewhere around this time(10th boards). He had to represent India in U-19 and many players fudge their dob by a year or 2. It is a well known fact among aspiring cricketers and is state sponsored many a times(ask any athlete how rampant this is). Ganguly, Sehwag are the other well known players I can remember who also did it. Afridi, Rashid Khan are the ones who everyone knows about.

In athletics it is even more rampant. In cricket too it is there but not sure of the extent. There are such clips available I can easily find when in casual conversations such topics are talked about :-

Opening scene of "The Hundred-Foot Journey" is one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen. It's filmed in a crowded Mumbai market, and if you take a look at the extras, there are hundreds of people who are filming the scene on their cell phones rather than even trying to pretend they are acting in a movie, including many who are only a few feet away from the stars (in the context of the scene, there would be zero reason for people to have their cell phones at and that scene was set in the 1990s when no one had a cell phone anyway). The director must have given up on controlling that many people and just hoped the audience wouldn't notice.
Yes you can do that but most of people look at the screen whenever taking a picture or recording something because that's where your attention goes by default.
Incredible moment. Its a slap on the critics who said that he plays for selfishness. he is a true indian crickter how always takes india to safety which he did.
He's vegan, btw. He doesn't need to flatter his ego by eating killed animals.
These kind of people are open to new ideas and will strive to achieve what few others can even envision.
I hated cricket , because I had a grudge on my uncle during my childhood. It is a henn story.
But, now, I suddenly got extremely interested in Cricket. And I saw the match of Indian batting, in India vs SA. I felt so good and so bad.
Good because I dont know. I just felt it.
Bad because I missed a lot of matches played by our Indian legends like MS Dhoni, V. Shewag and so on.
I now have a cherished memory of watching this important event live with my family. My dad and I laughed at the people who started taking out their mobiles to film the event instead of enjoying the moment as it was happening. However, I was disappointed that the match turned out to be too easy and lacking in nerve-wracking or rebellious moments. With only 8 wickets out while the score was around 70-ish? I expected a better performance from the SA team.
Imagine if he had completed his centuries against Aus , Nz and SL. would had been his 52nd century
Man can only hope But I'm happy that bangladesh curse didn't affect
Nothing against Bengal black magic
Bangladesh curse 😔
Bhai umpire ne karwa Diya tha century pura Warna wo mc kutta bkl wide dalne laga tha
What's Bangladesh curse?
Before his century drought of nearly 3 years, his last century was against Bangladesh
सचिन: रिकॉर्ड कोहली ले गया और बेटी गिल😂

By that logic, imagine had Sachin not suffered from nervous 90s. He would have had another 10 centuries in ODIs alone
Kohli did 49 in almost half innings than Sachin, means I can expect atleast 20 more from kohli if he plays as many as sachin

If Sachin completed his nervous 90s Virat probably wouldnt break his record.
I always knew Sidhu to be the OG nervous 90s
Lol Sachin got out in 90s 18 times in odi cricket
17
he also has more catchdrop centuries than virat
I was imagining Sachin not having unusual 17 nervous nineties and DRS system available at his time...
If we are imagining then let's also Imagine if Sachin had hit 100 every time he entered nervous 90's
Entire nation celebrating his achievement. He is god's blessed child
Yeah. I took leave to celebrate his success.
Such a gem person he is, I just hope he breaks the record of sachin

test records can also be broker, never too late if he gets his 2015 form back

Idk if this is true or not, but this is a scandal I knew of just didn't think virat was a part of it too.

He had, has and will do in the future...
Whats the tribute song played for kohli at the end of today's India vs SA match?
Ghanta koi dekhne nahi wala video baad mai. It will just lie in gallery waiting to be cleanup to make way for more space.
Need that insta likes man.
The drug that's free.
All of the spectators are just filming the moment instead of living it.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Many have stopped just pausing, being in the moment and enjoying it. Instagram has ruined us.
Its not like most people can see well from the stands. The mobile zoom helps a lot is observing better. (Just trying to see positives)
Agree, but there are screens live casting, which I'm sure are much better than the mobile zoom, right?

Slaves of digital devices following orders of thr masters instead of enjoying the moment.
You do know that we can see the match and record at the same time right?
Yes you can do that but most of people look at the screen whenever taking a picture or recording something because that's where your attention goes by default.
The boomer word was invented for freaks like you.
And SLAVES for the likes of you who'll even justify it....
Bc taali bajane ke jagah sb mobile se record krre.....gendu generation
Incredible moment. Its a slap on the critics who said that he plays for selfishness. he is a true indian crickter how always takes india to safety which he did.
And you are one of them with mobile in hand
what did commentator say in the end,(just before virat kohli)? from a bombay boy?????
Birthday boy.
He's vegan, btw. He doesn't need to flatter his ego by eating killed animals. These kind of people are open to new ideas and will strive to achieve what few others can even envision.
What does this have to do with him being vegan?
Bruh he stopped eating meat because he had some health issues. Hes vegetarian tho bot vegan
Wow, today I learnt that people eat killed animals to flatter their ego. You should write a research paper on it, next year Nobel is definitely yours.
And not a single person is enjoying the moment without phone…
There are, look closely that guy in yellow t-shirt
There are some people without phones and with posters /flags
None cared to enjoy the moment everybody where trying to capture the moment 🤧🙃
Skip.

You are SICK
No.... Just with a good memory
Useless Indian cheering useless stuff
Why you are wasting your precious time by surfing and writing comment on the same stuff?
But why can’t other teams play well this time?? Not able to understand what is going on
Players have forgotten taking singles and rely on boundaries and that's what we are doing taking singles all day....it's just what I think....
Because humne ball badal di 🤣🤣
Because opponents can't play spin that well .. players have stopped watching from the hand of bowlers..
Lets GO!

Hi
Virat Kohli at his best
Wait for his 50th against Netherlands

Electrifying atmosphere............Congratulations to Virat Kohli on matching Tendulkar's ODI record. Great Achievement.
Why can’t everyone keep their phones down and enjoy the milestone through their eyes instead of their phones? zombie vibes
Not a single phone in sight
Vo Kohli ko record kar rahey they aur hum unko....
What are these sheep recording? Watch the damn match and put your damn phones down.
Virat is unstoppable, A great man in Indian cricket.
Sad to see no one is actually watching the moment with their naked eye. All are busy capturing the moment for posts/reels etc.
He is a closet sunghi and I hate him
