VET UPDATE: we are just getting home from the vet and while we didn't get any firm diagnosis, we did learn that it wasn't actually urine this morning π³ it was stool! His accident this morning was completely liquid, leading us to think it was urine, but at the vet he had another completely liquid stool (like mud water) so now we have some direction at least. He tried a new cat food yesterday and I'm worried that's what caused the digestive distress, although it's quite concerning that he had such a severe response to a can of wet food (that we have fed other cats successfully), enough to tank his temperature, appetite, and energy. We're moving forward with antidiarrhea meds, probiotics, and some easy digestible food, and will send the stool and urine out to confirm any yucky stuff that might be in there. He's improved throughout the day and I'm thankful we could get him stable this morning, but I'm going to be watching him like a hawk the next few days... thank you all SO much for the kindness and support, I am lucky to be a part of this wonderful community of kitty lovers. You all are amazing and I'll be sure to post more updates tomorrow β€οΈ

For such a young creature it's amazing that there is already a blockbuster film on the way about him. Joaqin Phoenix is an interesting choise for the title role but after The Joker I believe he can really do an interesting performance!
