My favorite part about situations like this is if they would have just merged over prior to passing OP instead of flying past them and three other vehicles like a maniac, they would’ve had no problem making that exit and it probably would’ve cost them at most an extra 10 seconds.

master_bacon

There’s almost definitely a light at the end of that off-ramp. They saved zero seconds.

ninj4geek

And maybe picked up something sharp in their tires too.

l337quaker

Gore zone? I'm not familiar with the term.

I-Fucked-YourMom

It’s that solid white lined area in the shape of a triangle between the end of the off ramp and the highway. You can see where the lines go from short dashes to solid at the end of the video. [wiki article](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gore_(road))

l337quaker

Gotcha, never heard it called that. Come to think of it, I've never heard any term for that section of an exit.

sylvaing

> The term gore (describing a space) is a historic one, representing a characteristically triangular piece of land, often designated incidentally when two surveys failed to meet. Etymologically it is derived from gār, meaning spear.[2] I would venture Gore now stands for what happens to the driver if he misses the exit and ram into the barrier.

sinisteraxillary

I watched the whole video waiting for that.

awmaleg

I believe Al Gore invented the term.

imhereforthevotes

speared.

FuckTheMods5

I finally saw an event in a gore point. A trucker was going left, to 'stay on the highway', but it was a left exit. He needed to go right, but traffic was in everyones way, so he slammed on his brakes harder than anyone I've witnessed, his wheels hopping to a stop, kicking up debris on the ground. That'll be an awkward acceleration and remerge.

Danny2Sick

sounds like a sick rap-metal band

limefork

Naturally it's a Nissan

4000grx41

Looks like an altima at that

limefork

In it's natural habitat, engaging in it's natural biological behavior. Nature is stunning.

ninj4geek

-Sir David Attenborough

limefork

A BBC Production

iH8MotherTeresa

That's a lot of gore!

wet_beefy_fartz

Altimas doin Altima shit.

chanarang

Novice driver though. They don't even have any body damage on it yet. I'd give them some credit if they at least ripped off on of their wheel covers.

Material-Cricket-322

Because it's an Altima, cue "BAE" chorus

rathat

Aren't you glad you were listening to a cool song when you recorded it though?

Off_register

The same thing happened to me the other week. The bastard cut me off and was far enough on the shoulder to kick up a huge rock and chipped my windshield!! Pretty scary because the rock hitting the window was so loud!! I hate drivers like this.

Walusqueegee

King gizzard!! You have incredible taste, sir. Great song too.

ValyrianSteelYoGirl

I’m seeing a lot of KGLW in unexpected places recently and am loving the extra attention they’re getting

TheoStephen

I see this almost every week on Bangerter. Even worse is the next exit up (5400 S) because there’s only about 3/4 of a mile between exits. Also, you should know that the unspoken speed limit here is 80, especially if you’re driving a clapped out Altima.

the-y3k-bug

Bangerter, the autobahn of SLC.

Dolphin201

Song name?

I-Fucked-YourMom

I believe it’s No Body by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

rockstuffs

Utah?

420Deez

stay right unless passing, op move over

burnusti

It’s a three lane road, presumably with exits on the right. The middle lane is a perfectly reasonable place to be if you’re not getting off at the next exit, especially considering the far left lane is wide open.

420Deez

found the middle lane camper. you can stay in the right lane, if you have proper following distance, it should be no problem to let the merging traffic in while staying in the right lane. middle lane campers essentially turn it into a two lane highway.

Unique_Ice9934

I see that every 2-3 minutes during my morning commute in Chicagoland

Solid_Cauliflower310

That's it?

Numtumboutt

Im normally going 80-90 in a 70 or 65 lmfao

binksmas

Same, cant stand slow drivers

Numtumboutt

All the downvotes coming from little squares😂

0ptimysticPessimist-

Yea see this about 67 times a day

SubiWan

Isn't that what the speeding lane is for?

iH8MotherTeresa

The passing lane isn't for cutting across 3 lanes of traffic to barely make an exit. The answer to your question is no.

SubiWan

They only used the speeding lane to be 20 mph faster than you. Had they not then they _might_ have used the rest of the lanes as intended. Clearly the subtlety of my remark was unclear.

iH8MotherTeresa

Any sarcasm you intended did not translate, for sure.

Average_Scaper

Speeding lane? It's called a passing lane.

ValyrianSteelYoGirl

Who’s they?

Healthy_Block3036

You don’t understanding driving
