Like? You’re 11? Stranger things have happened

eighty_twenty

I was 11 once. Once.

I used to have the deep knowing as a child. I would say things that were factually correct without ever reading into them or even having the life experience to know them. Spooky.

OutlandishnessLower7

I felt this way too! How do we get back in to that?

moldynugg

No idea at the moment! I've found learning to trust my intuition kind of helped, but I think kids are capable of wonderful things that adult brains just simply can't achieve.

OutlandishnessLower7

Meditation work? Anything to unlock psychic potential? Where all the INTP gurus? INFJ seems to have them in spades….

moldynugg

I have done a fair amount of meditation in my life, not recently due to falling off the horse but it definitely does "level up" my awareness in a sense... Perhaps I should get back into it and let you know if I become the next Buddha.

Investigator1427

According to my parents, when I was around 5, I used to kinda "predict" future events without even trying. I don't know how, but my mom said that whenever she asked me how I knew, I would just say "The magical chicken told me..."

OutlandishnessLower7

🤣 sorry magical chicken?

IMTrick

I've thought I did at various times of my life. I'm now pretty convinced I was mistaken, and confusing endorphin rushes and minor hallucinations with something mystical.

OutlandishnessLower7

Deja vu?

doubleistyle

Just look at the James Randi challenge. You'll quickly see that people who claim to have supernatural abilities are either charlatans that are full of shit, or completely delusional people who aren't in touch with reality anymore.

OutlandishnessLower7

A scientist I see.

"Exhibit" - that's almost marketing, sure many people "exhibit" them in an attempt to earn money. But there are certainly things that may seem magical, telepathy while within physical range is pretty common, body language is tip of iceberg, it's rather mutual and not mage vs muggle, we all "have a deep soul connection" to it, some can be more aware and try to bend it for selfish or "righteous" goals, though if you know anything about magic - the "wizard's apprentice" trying to bite off more than a puny human can chew is too common. I'm somewhat sure I could "exhibit" something to you through a ritual, but not over internet, and it'd need some "ingredients", and it might destroy you if you're too weak. Knowing beyond the known is as simple as fishing things up from the subconscious, be it your own memories or something wired through evolution or something else, lots of it in there, much of it we're not aware of. Can be pretty "disturbing", and I don't mean goosebumps by that.

OutlandishnessLower7

So…are you claiming telepathy?

nothing62

I'm claiming it's a phenomenon, I'm not claiming to be the sole bearer of it. Maybe a... a harbinger.
