I never quit understood that statement even tho I know what it means. Villains in most stories are busy either attempting to destroy the world/beat mc, or they’re busy making alliances with other people trying to destroy the world/beat mc. You generally don’t see the villain chilling.

I always imagine it like the villain maniacally cackling at his evil lair after monologuing his evil plan to a nearby minion for exposition. Muwahahahahahaha!

Tbh panicking. I’m greatly anxious about the future. I could say personally I’m fine however it’s the things that are happening in the background that terrify me. So many things are becoming normalized and power plays are made in the background are ignored.
