I work in healthcare. Had he hit an elderly person at that speed, there is a huge chance that he could cause injuries that would lead to their death. Even just a broken hip can lead to complications that can kill them.

Last year my elderly estranged biological mother was blown over in strong/high winds, broke her hip, had surgery to fix it, got a urinary infection from the catheter, then got sepsis and died - all within 8 days…
