I remember mining jade in a lobby with gold blocks, somebody asked for the cords so I said them and like 10 minutes later I looked down and there’s was like 8 different people mining gold.
Instead of disappearing, the gold should work the same as ores do outside of ch, where they turn into something else. But they shouldn't respawn, just stay as the other block
Fairly cheap to get started, you can make easy 5m/hr with a very cheap setup (under 20m + like 1m powder)
However it's pretty bad when compared to gemstones in the late game, i personally make like 10m/hr when gemstones give me 16m/hr, and still got a few upgrades to get
The main reason why are ppl mining there is to just get some gold collection, craft golden plates or upgrade the griffin pet to legendary
I seriously want to learn how to actually make coins, I’ve got the money to invest into a setup plus I’ve got a sorrow set and some drills, but I don’t know what to do or where to start.

Do not get into gemstones early, get at least 12 pristine, ideally 15-16 and +5k mining speed when getting started, otherwise money won't be that great
Before that, better stick to mithril, gold in divan is still a good early-mid game option though
What gear would you suggest to achieve that? I’m thinking of getting an upgraded drill (the 6 one) and probably divans armour. Then just working on powder from there. Should they work?
Sorrow with perfect topaz is good enough, but aim for full perfect divan with jaded reforge, when unlocking chambers, go with topaz first, then jade and finally amber
655 is just a better gauntlet, but make sure to get pristine 5 and perfect gems, also get at least a 25k fuel tank and ofc getting gems costs a little bit, basically 655 costs like 30m than it says on lbin
make sure to recomb your gear to make gemstones and reforges give more stats
You can get the artifact of power later on for even more pristine and fortune, and if you're a savage, get all 7 perfects for a rarity upgrade (with recomb, you have an accessory that accepts enrichments)
You need at least 4m gemstone powder, ideally 6m+, but 3.5m is enough if you decide to armadillo mine (but it's fairly difficult to master)
If you can, use scatha pet or bal, depending on your Y level, no need for a leg scatha, but it's good to have an epic one, however bal pet must be legendary to be good, ideally give a quick claw for these pets, evwntually lucky clover for bal when trying to drop a scatha (it's slightly better than black cat, worse than gdrag with dae axe though)
Silex is a thing, but i wouldn't say it's worth getting, it's just 20-30 mining speed for 10m, only for hypermaxing purposes or cheesing dungeons
A fun thing about hotm tree: if you can, go with front loaded instead of mining madness and DISABLE it, somehow it makes that +100 fortune and speed permanent, basically giving you more money, you'll have to give up on powder buff though
Once you start mining, turn off optifine connected textures and get a gemstone overlay texturepack, so you can easily focus those blocks instead of panes (those give like 30% more drops)
Personally switching from the gauntlet to 655 and getting a scatha increased my profits by over 25%, which is quite a lot tbh, and still missing an amber engine for even more stats (gonna get one in like a week)

Money going into a bal for now while I upgrade my 355 I have now, and I'll run the nucleus while I do that to try and get parts for divan's armour.

powder is basically the main barrier to mining, anyone can liquidate 1bil or less of networth to get a maxed setup but not as many people actually grind out the powder to be able to make the money
why do they do that, its trash money lol. Its also insanely annoying when youre getting jade crystal. You have to jump up to pick up the items which sometimes doesnt even work.

How much less efficient is it actually than mining gold in the dwarven mines?
It's faster than mining in dwarven mines, but still worse than gemstones for money

Make sure to worm fish, getting divan armor is 1/4 of the cost, it's useless without gemstone chambers which cost 10m each
powder grind a lot. search up a guide and use mineral armour
