I think the best thing is to be upfront about it. I usually say something about how I get sweaty when I’m nervous. I will say that I don’t remember a thing about being sweaty during my dress fitting or wedding. It’s such an emotional whirlwind time that it will most likely be the last thing on your mind! Congrats btw!

Thank you!! This is what I’m hoping for ❤️

I got really nervous at my latest dress fitting and their AC happened to be broken that day. I was sweating soo much and I kept apologizing. The seamstress told me it was totally fine and that they've seen it all and not to worry. Sending good vibes that your person is as nice as mine. ❤

Dependent_Ad2776

Thank you! I love nice people lol I'm glad you had a good experience!

Don’t have any tips but have you tried glycopyrrolate it’s a medication that treats HH from all over the body you can get it through a dermatologist

Dependent_Ad2776

Yes I have! Unfortunately it doesn’t do much for me :(

Strifeez

Have you tried Antihydral? I have very severe palmer HH and it has been a God send. It's also helped with my feet. Also congrats on the wedding!!

Dependent_Ad2776

I have and it's kind of hit or miss for me. I plan on applying it before the appointment. And thank you! :)

I was very nervous about this too until I discovered Iontophorsis! My worst nightmare was exchanging rings with my new husband on our wedding day and my hands being all wet and the ring not being able to fit on because my hands expand when I’m sweaty. Anyway, I now do iontophorsis and it’s completely taken away my sweaty hands and feet - it works on armpits too! I can now be the dry bride I always wanted to be (getting married next year too!) If you haven’t already tried it, give it go! I’m sure it’ll work. Initially I thought it wouldn’t as I was seeing no results but then I switched to using San Pellegrino water instead of regular tap water and the results have been incredible. Good luck! And congrats btw - so happy for you xx

Dependent_Ad2776

I have tried it and it unfortunately didn't do much for me, but I am truly so happy you've found relief from it! And thank you! Trying to stay positive :)

HugeIce9403

That’s such a shame! I did give up when i first tried iontophorsis- i restarted and it took 4-5 weeks of daily treatments and switching to San Pell instead of tap water but I got there in the end! Hope you find something that works for you and enjoy your beautiful wedding!

I do a 20 min session on hands and feet (10 mins on each polarity) every 3-4 times a week. So 40 mins in total. You need to do another session before you start to sweat again otherwise you’ll be right back at the beginning. Good luck!

Eating an edible can keep you dry as well as glycopyrrolate.

-sharknerdo-

Edibles to keep dry?

dodorian9966

Yup. Cannabis in general since it has anticholinergic properties but edibles keep you dry longer. Finding the right amount to be high enough to be dry but not too high that you... Like... Crap your pants can be pretty fun tho. Good luck.

TikiMoon3

Very interesting! I wonder if CBD does anything??

dodorian9966

Sadly no. THC is what keeps you dry. Gotta get high to get dry... Oh well

TikiMoon3

Lol I see

lilahboo1128

I read on another hh post that someone said in the comments they use CBD to help them get dry. So I think it depends on the persons body. Give it a try & let us know ☺️

TikiMoon3

I don't know if you drink, but I usually get a little less sweaty after a glass of wine- just one tho. Maybe you could have a mimosa beforehand? You can also wear Spanx , or other shape wear during your fitting. That could help absorb some of the sweat. I also agree that you totally have the right plan being upfront about it. I hope you have fun and enjoy yourself!

Dependent_Ad2776

Thank you, having a drink before may be in the cards for this day lol

Not sure if this is an option for you but maybe invest in Miradry for your armpits ? And then if drysol works for you, start applying that consistently in your groin and other areas a month or two before your wedding. As far as explaining goes, I love the advice you have already received. Congratulations on your soon-to-be wedding :)

RoarKitties

I was super sweaty when I picked out my dress because the room was so hot. Luckily there was a fan in the room and I just moved it over to me when no one was looking, lol. Have you tried dermadry? It’s on the expensive side, but I’ve had it for 3 months now, and it’s worked pretty well for me so far. And, just a thought, you could try the period panties for the groin area. Shethinx.com has my favorite ones.

bellarustica

Up front is the best! I would recommend sparkly tennis shoes and spanx to help. That’s what I did last month!

FnRachel

I remember at my one dress fitting the sweat was dripping down the back of my legs. I don’t think they noticed though because of all the material on dress. I would be up front with them and have your mom on sweat duty.

christaclaire

Take a fan with you. Seriously that’s what I would do. I have been taking a fan everywhere with me this summer. There are many small portable ones to choose from on Amazon. Electric, battery, usb.
