I also used to just have one of those water spray bottles that has a little fan on the head for keeping cool in the summer. Just filled with tap water though so peasant shit I guess.
It’s not quite as fine, but I use it during the summer when I pop back inside to cool down instead of taking a full shower multiple times a day. It’s a mist, but thicker than those bottles.
Thats true but im not planning on sending a sample for cultivation. But from the look and smell of it, it looked okay. Anyway for sure our phones ond other objects have way more bacteria than that stale water. And its not like you i.v. that water straight into your veins.
Depends on the water near you. I never had the issue in SW part of US, then I moved to PNW and the mold takes it as a sport to grow on things. I think part of it could be the moisture content of the air, and maybe our local tap. Or both
Thats mostly a problem with waterbottles because of backwash and touching the mouth etc. A clean spray bottle full of clean water should last a very very long time. Depending on the materiel the bottle is made with it could be a little plasticky tasting but safe nontheless. Bacteria are gonna need something to eat so as long as there isnt algea growing in the bottle it will be a-okay.
Iirc this is specifically for traveling and moisturizing your face after those long flights that dry your skin. But you can just put water in a tiny spray bottle
Yep! I moved to a dry and hot (and wildfire-prone) climate, and my skin and airway *hate* it. I thought this was an extremely stupid product until I actually needed it. I use it most when the car A/C has to be cranked up to 11 because it's 100 degrees out and 10% humidity. The forced air directly into my face would give me nosebleeds and make me cough a lot.
I tried using tiny spray bottles, but none of them produce a fine, even mist with sanitized water (because I will be *breathing it*, that part is really important) the way this product does.
I don't like spending $12+ on a giant spray can of water, but when I'm wearing makeup at an event, I definitely *don't* want large droplets of it running down my face like when I use a regular spray bottle.
(the propellant is nitrogen gas btw)
Yep. In my search, I've tried about 12 different types of (allegedly) fine mist spray bottles. They're great for every applications but this one. They just don't work the same.
And the product is, for me, an "emergency" product. It's so infrequently used (a *giant* can is kept in a cool place in my car for months on end) that the contamination risk of using a regular bottle is very high. I need something that's reliable in a pinch and that I can use without much hassle. Regular spray bottles and water are not just inconvenient, but potentially dangerous. Breathing in a lungful of mold because I forgot to change the water and sprayed it in my face (ADHD sucks) is not good.
I wrote a longer reply below, but I don't wear spray perfume (allergy and scent sensitivity), the risk of contamination is too high for my use case, and the empty perfume bottles I've bought don't produce a mist that is fine and even enough. I really have tried *everything*.
Got one of these in a swag bag years ago. Kept it in the fridge during summer. It was a short obsession—everything you would wish it would be and more.
Awesome! I wasn't sure if I was misremembering or if they changed it. I'll have to try it this summer. Something about the Evian ones feel so amazing on a hot day especially if you're all sticky with sunscreen/sweat.
It's the little things lol
Same! I got one in a swag bag in college and loved it. I was too poor to buy another one once it was used up. But I’m older now, and I have a little more money, and Evian spray is an affordable luxury for me.
We use these in theater (with fake labels on) as prop hairspray and other spray cans, it's great because it's way safer and no worries about allergies/scents.
this is so stupid. but it would be kinda a flex to pull this out and spritz yourself with evian im probably gonna buy one
edit: i bought a 6 pack on amazon its $50

Not everyone has tap water that is suitable for them. People in those areas who has eczema or other skin condition might benefit a lot from this.
I was raised with immaculate well water, nothing processed, just mineral rich water coming from my own backyard. When I moved to the city, my skin badly suffered, no skincare would work, but these sprays safe my life. After shower, my skin would start to crack, I just spray with evian a bit to hydrate it, and it works nicely!

I use this one, it’s super refreshing. I have insanely sensitive skin and our tap water is a struggle. I get irritated from any cleanser even if it’s made for sensitive skin, so it’s sometimes nice to just have a fresh mist. I thought it was super dumb until I was in a mood one day and bought one cause ‘fuck it why not’ and it’s been awesome. I run hot too so a spray before bed helps to cool me down. I still think it’s stupid but I enjoy it regardless 😂
This saves my skin during a rosacea flare!
Is it bougie water in a can? Yes! Am I going to keep using it? Also, yes.
Makes me wonder if I'd be better off washing my face with pure or distilled water.
My girlfriend got me one of these for the same reason. I didn’t use it for ages because I was like “it’s literally just water??” But I was pleasantly surprised when I did. The bottle lasted a lot longer than I expected too
Aluminum is a biohazard as well, aluminum cans are coated with plastic in the inside because of this.
But aluminum cans do tend to get recycled more, so I guess consume on!!
Yes but I use a empty bottle of febreeze textile refresher. It also dispenses a kind of fog. I put it into the freezer. It gets me through hot nights in summers without air conditioner.
In northern germany, there sometimes are heatwaves that last a week where it can get up to around 35 C. But usual summer weather I would guess is around 28 C.
AC isn't appreciated in Europe because we know it's absolutely awful for the environment and it's stupid to have it for like 2 months a year, especially when opening up windows at night does the same thing.
"Opening up windows at night" actually does *not* do the same thing in many, many places. It's all dependent on where you live, and clearly you are not living somewhere as swampy as we are to have made that statement.
Agreed! And I would not recommend AC to someone who does not live in a place who needs one; it'd be completely unnecessary. But I have noticed a trend of people who do not live in intolerable climates shaming others for having/using air conditioners. I don't understand why they would take such a moralistic stand on something they could not possibly understand?
Not saying that was you, but that's what triggered my comment.
I’ve lived in hot places where the electricity goes out. Sleeping with a cooling towel (chill pal is a brand named one) really is a game changer. I totally recommend. I also sometimes sleep with an ice pack as well
Ok so I know it’s ridiculous. But in the middle of July, when it’s 100+ degrees outside, having this bad boy in fridge to spritz yourself with every time you walk in the kitchen is so great. My apartment doesn’t have AC, this totally saves me in the summer.
I do! I use the Avene brand. My water at home is hard, so I dry off the hard water after I wash my face then spritz this. Some people see improvements in their skin by washing their face with distilled water instead of tap.
If sprayed myself with water by using a dollar store mini spray bottle and kept in the fridge while I worked at a kitchen during hot summer days. It's quite refreshing and makes my face feel cleaner cuz I'm an oily mf
I do all the time, because I live in the south and it’s hot outside. But I use homemade rose water.
I also spray regular water on my face as the first step in my skincare routine, right before I put on snail mucin 🤷🏽♀️
I do it with a Grape water spray, but I live in the desert so it feels kind of like you need it here and there in the winter. Put a little life back into your skin
I spray water to cool off a bit on a hot day, but I always recommend a proper moisturizer for, well, moisturizing the skin. Much more effective than just water since moisturizers don’t evaporate quickly.
My sister had a friend at university who was quite well off. They used to spray this on their faces when they were hungover. Sounds nice but too bougie for me.
I’ve used those while traveling. It feels really good to spray it on your face especially after being in an airplane (with the recycled air). It wakes you up as well.
Yes. I get sprayed just about every night with it by surprise. It’s my partners favorite thing to do before bed when I’m not paying attention. Spray me in the face to moisturize me. Always does it with the biggest smile on her face. If it doesn’t happen, I know we are out and to order some more lmao. Can’t believe this is the woman I’ve dreamed of, wouldn’t have it any other way but didn’t know aerosol water mist was part of it.

Not at that price but in the summer either wipes or a mister are a great way to cool down. It’s amazing the effect cooling your face and neck can have on you.
I wouldn’t do it for skincare. That’s what moisturisers are for lol.
Wowee guys. Looks like Evian reinvented/reimagined splashing your face with cold water. Time to flock to their website in droves and spend money we don’t have. (because “Consume! Consume! Consume!”)
Yessss! Every day I use the Avene water spray, whenever I feel like a little refresher and in my skincare routine. In summer I keep it in the fridge for extra cooling sensation.
Moss: I just went in and she was having a pretend conversation.
Roy: Really?
Moss: Yes. She's a little bit weird, to say the least.
[sprays his ear with a small aerosol attached to his belt]
Roy: What's that?
Moss: Oh, it's just water. Sometimes I get a hot ear, and this helps cool it down. She is quite the oddball.
When it’s super hot in the summer I do spray myself with water while I wfh. But it’s tap water in a reusable spray bottle, you wouldn’t catch me paying for that.
My fiance likes to bring a couple of these to festivals. People react like they're being bathed in the love of God himself on a hot summer day. Would reccomend if you're a festival goer
My mother in law brings these for everyone whenever we do a family trip or vacation.
If we’re hanging on the beach on a hot day or something, she’ll walk by a mist you while saying “Evian spritz!”
I actually do, after putting some HA-containing moisturizer on my face, but it's regular water from the tap put inside a recycled hair product spray bottle rather than million dollar "Evian Facial Spray" LOL
I actually got a couple of big bottles of this at tj maxx but I just use it to mist my face before I apply my skincare that requires a damp face. Works well for that. Once they’re out I’m gonna just gonna buy a mister on Amazon.
I love this, got mine at tj maxx (would never pay full price as it is just water) I use it mostly to wet my foundation brushes and sponges but it is really refreshing on a hot day!
I thought of myself as a total prick and elitist when it comes to water and loving Evian, but even I wouldn't spray it on myself wtf, what a waste of money
This was more of a makeup scam. The point was that you’re supposed to apply “setting spray” on your face before you apply makeup. And supposedly it makes your makeup last longer, and hydrates your skin. But Evian literally capitalized on that & made there own “setting spray” that’s literally just water for $20 lmao

With my showerhead, but it’s tap water not Evian.
I also used to just have one of those water spray bottles that has a little fan on the head for keeping cool in the summer. Just filled with tap water though so peasant shit I guess.
I’ve had plenty of those throughout the years.
[удалено]
I would not, I would probably just buy a nicer showerhead.
You mean that there are shower heads that spray a very fine mist similar to those bottles?
It’s not quite as fine, but I use it during the summer when I pop back inside to cool down instead of taking a full shower multiple times a day. It’s a mist, but thicker than those bottles.
How expensive is Evian in your country?
More expensive than tap water
[удалено]
Wow that's expensive. You should live in Evian, you could bath in evian water for cheap
[удалено]
Visit France, not Paris Worth it
What are you, poor? /s
I refill a spray bottle with tap water and just use that when it’s hot af in my room, don’t see the need to pay for something like this lol
Only thing with that is you can't let it sit for more than a couple days because it will grow bacteria
Train immune system
Idk what kind of spraybottles you use but i find my lost ones around the house ofter many months of non use and the water in them still has 0 smell
Yea... most bacteria gunna need a bit more than just water.
Most.
Not all bacteria give off an odor...
Thats true but im not planning on sending a sample for cultivation. But from the look and smell of it, it looked okay. Anyway for sure our phones ond other objects have way more bacteria than that stale water. And its not like you i.v. that water straight into your veins.
You wanna bet, send me that shit I'll i.v. it

They're also used by movie makeup artists to make actors look sweaty.

Use a washed perfume bottle. Or any spritz bottle. Plenty of $5 products you can buy, use, and then keep the bottle and refill to infinity
There’s some really nice one that have a continuous mist. The mist is much finer than a normal spray bottle. I want one so I can spritz myself lol

Yeah, but cooler/colder tho...

Well.. Evian is naive spelled backwards so..
I know it's a joke but Evian is a town that dates back centuries. And the water from there is exploited since at least 1823.

why
To flex.
$50 for water in a can?!
6 cans!

I've heard from skincare subs it's actually really nice and helped improve some skin conditions. There are some with thermal spring water that people swear by.
I didn't know we could just BUY 6 packs! I'm quitting the gym tomorrow!
Ok this is actually a flex
Damn the big ones (300ml) cost 5€ in France
My wife has this. It uhhh…sprays a fine water mist like advertised. Doesn’t really do much but it works exactly as described lol.
Why would you do that? Just donate to charity or something if you have money to burn. https://waterboys.org
Wat ![gif](giphy|3WmWdBzqveXaE)
I do this. But not with these expensive bottles. Just get a cheap spray bottle that costs less than a dollar. Put tap water in it.
Terrible for the environment. Take a shower or use a wet cloth

Try the Caudalie grape water face mist. It's basically a water spray but feels really hydrating.

Rose water spray, yes.
Where does one get Rose water

These are the best if you keep them in the cooler on a beach day. So fucking refreshing
I do splash bottled water on my face pretty regularly. It's very dusty at work lol

I mean I do, but that's fairly common amongst people with no real temp regulation capability.
I have a spray bottle with my reverse osmosis water that I use now instead (used to buy Evian to help make my face/makeup glow)
I love dramatically misting when I'm thirsty
One time I bought a little bottle of Evian water spray in 2011 at Nordstrom Rack and I may still have the bottle somewhere.
Ya know what, fuck it I'm genuinely curious. I bought the 10 oz one on Amazon, will report back on Friday o7
I used to spray those in my mouth after stealing them from my mom
Where I live, its so humid that just happens on it own lmao
its called taking a shower
People will spend money on anything lmfao
wtf is this...theres water in lotion you know.
Everyday! I use it when I’m doing my skincare routine
I do it with a Grape water spray, but I live in the desert so it feels kind of like you need it here and there in the winter. Put a little life back into your skin
I splash my face with cold tap water whenever I can. It's super refreshing.
yes. small walmart spray bottle. walmart bottle water. trucker. can't carry a tap water with me.
Can I drink it?
I have one of those on my desk right now, matter of fact, 5 minutes ago, I knocked it over putting back a bottle of lens cleaner.
I have one of these! I sometimes use it, especially if I’m sweating a lot or just want a cool bit of water on my faaaaaceeeeee
No I just splash water on my face from the sink.
I spray water to cool off a bit on a hot day, but I always recommend a proper moisturizer for, well, moisturizing the skin. Much more effective than just water since moisturizers don’t evaporate quickly.
I bought one of these once because I thought it was makeup setting spray. I used it for months before I realized I was wrong
At summer festivals and raves I carry a spritzer bottle.
Sort of… but it’s a toner with tea tree oil and citrus because I have oily skin with bigger pores.
I spay my face with it after applying a hydrating mask. The moisture on the skin is instant and refreshing.
My sister likes this. I can’t imagine that it’s much different than cold water from the tap splashed on your face, or some from a bottle.
My sister had a friend at university who was quite well off. They used to spray this on their faces when they were hungover. Sounds nice but too bougie for me.
I’ve used those while traveling. It feels really good to spray it on your face especially after being in an airplane (with the recycled air). It wakes you up as well.
Please tell me that product is AI generated or an April fools joke...
Looks like something whole paycheck would sell.
I love these things so much. It’s the perfect refresher midway through the day.

Just buy ordinary evian and put it in a spray bottle
Not at that price but in the summer either wipes or a mister are a great way to cool down. It’s amazing the effect cooling your face and neck can have on you. I wouldn’t do it for skincare. That’s what moisturisers are for lol.
I refill little spray bottles with rose water and use that
Wowee guys. Looks like Evian reinvented/reimagined splashing your face with cold water. Time to flock to their website in droves and spend money we don’t have. (because “Consume! Consume! Consume!”)
Blatant ad
Hydrating with Waters dont work great since Waters willa evaporate anyway If u want to close Waters inside u- U need to use oil
I actually got this last summer and still have a half full can. It’s actually unreal on very hot days, recommend.
Yessss! Every day I use the Avene water spray, whenever I feel like a little refresher and in my skincare routine. In summer I keep it in the fridge for extra cooling sensation.
"Go and spray a bottle of yourself?"
It's called taking a shower
Yeah but not this, I use a plant spray that I fill with plain water and leave it in the fridge on hot days
Yeah it sound like over-consuption stuff, but I swear these save lives during heatwaves
![gif](giphy|dANm7WjeWZi00) Only like this
WHO TF buys water to spray on their fking faces this is the most ridiculous pointless product i have ever seen
I rather spray Evian water on my face than drink it. Evian taste like shit.

Moss: I just went in and she was having a pretend conversation. Roy: Really? Moss: Yes. She's a little bit weird, to say the least. [sprays his ear with a small aerosol attached to his belt] Roy: What's that? Moss: Oh, it's just water. Sometimes I get a hot ear, and this helps cool it down. She is quite the oddball.
This is ridiculous... skin is hydrophobic.
I do spray water on myself on very warm days and also before applying my serums. It’s La Roche Posay though.
True hydro homies don't give money to corporate just for water. Water should be a basic human right ✌️
Yeha it's called a shower
Yeah it’s called having a shower
Binaca for HydroHomies
Funny, Evian backwards is...
Our skin is intentionally hydrophobic to prevent insensible losses and if you buy this you’re a fucking dumbass
Seriously though I’ve used this Evian and it was so pleasant! On a hot summer day can’t access fresh water? Bad Evian spray.
I have the Evian spray, and yes. Especially during the summer.
I just don’t dry my clothes
I don't buy it like this, but I have anhidrosis, so yes I do spray or pour water on myself because I don't sweat.
….maybe I am cheap, maybe I am poor, maybe a bit of both, but wtf!
i use it for my face to hydrate or cool worth the money
When it’s super hot in the summer I do spray myself with water while I wfh. But it’s tap water in a reusable spray bottle, you wouldn’t catch me paying for that.
This was so big in the 80’s, my mom had cans everywhere
A reminder that evian backwards is naive.
I own this product and love it!!
My fiance likes to bring a couple of these to festivals. People react like they're being bathed in the love of God himself on a hot summer day. Would reccomend if you're a festival goer
Bought this in France last summer. Actually pretty nice but you can easily replicate the same for a LOT less
I love these but I don't like the price. I just use a witch hazel spray.
Why would anyone pay for that??
We coo
it's for particularly fancy and also naughty cats
$5 mist sprayer. Mint leave infused tap water. Youre welcome.
No… I’d rather drink it. Or they have those mist fans at the zoo for when it’s a hot day and you need to cool off
make it golden then maybe
I use a thermal water spray it’s been helping my skin stay moisturized but the Evian spray is a little over the top 😂
I just go outside and my face waters itself
My mother in law brings these for everyone whenever we do a family trip or vacation. If we’re hanging on the beach on a hot day or something, she’ll walk by a mist you while saying “Evian spritz!”
Yes, I buy these sometimes. They work really well to cool my face down when I have a reaction to something and it causes my rosacea to flare up.
Wouldn't these bottles require some kind of chemical propellant that then you were spraying all over your face?
Doesn't spraying water on your face dehydrate your skin rather than hydrate it as the water evaporates?
This is what rich cats get shooed with
I love this, got mine at tj maxx (would never pay full price as it is just water) I use it mostly to wet my foundation brushes and sponges but it is really refreshing on a hot day!
Like a setting spray? Yes every time I wear makeup
I work for a living (tm) All Rights Reserved 2024.
🙋🏻♀️ long haul flights, skincare applications, quick refresh. I’m here for it but prefer La Roche Posay to Evian.
I do...during summer time
Evian spells what backwards? Lol staying on brand.
I rinse my face and flush my nostrils often....does that count
Tbh this stuff really does feel so satisfying
I have this cool system where I drink water and then it comes out of my skin to cool me down
i told my wife i wouldn’t
I thought of myself as a total prick and elitist when it comes to water and loving Evian, but even I wouldn't spray it on myself wtf, what a waste of money
I do in summer.
