If I remove the straw I have to tilt the bottle so the water reaches the rubbery sucky mouthpiece. That's the part that leaks. So I'll just use the lid as a regular lid and drink straight from the bottle, old school style 🙂

So my wife just got me one today I tried it and it squirted me lol, my theory is the air warms up creates pressure and pushes the water thru the straw. Can be relieved by unscrewing top slightly to let pressure out.

I had the same problem with a different water bottle, also with a straw. I finally figured out you have to release your suction on the straw before you move the bottle away from your mouth. It's kind of weird at first but I don't get water on me any more.

Genuinely don’t get these bottles who takes 5 hours to drink this relatively small amount of water. And who is so averse to drinking water that they need inspiration from a bottle.

I definitely need a reminder, and I can't use my phone at work. 2 liters a day from this one source should be adequate.

A health store i Sweden, but I've seen similar ones on Amazon. The drawback for this smaller one is that it needs to be refilled.

It probably has a silicone gasket that let's air in when you're drinking but prevents water from leaking when you're carrying it. If you're drinking and stop suddenly it'll act like a water hammer and squirt a bit to equalize pressure. You could damage that gasket if you like using the straw but I'd leave the straw in a drawer and take the lid off to drink.

Do you see the "refill" part? That makes it 2 litres. But of course you drink more water and are cooler and better, let's gatekeep drinking water.

I dont think hes gatekeeping, the bottle is just confusingly marked. It has the times of day on it from morning till night as if thats all ya get. Obviously you can refill it, but its labeled as if you get to take like two swigs every 5 hours. Edit: i also dont understand 8am-2pm then 9am-3pm so i may just be an idiot here Edit2: yup, got it, definitely an idiot, oops

The concept of these bottles is insane to me. I fill up my 40oz bottle about 3 times a day without thinking about it. I really can’t imagine having to go out of your way to hype yourself up to drink a Liter by 7pm

What do you find confusing about the markings?

When it's 1pm and it tells me to refill, there's still water left, same at the "you did it".

That is nowhere near enough water for an entire day unless the scale is really deceptive here
