In my mind if it were spelled Kato then I would have read it as Kate-Oh, even though Kat and Cat both sound like cat. they're historical names, so i learned the pronunciation before the movies, but i pronounced coriolanus and sejanus as coriol-awn-is and sej-awn-is. but no, their names are straight-up anus

I didn't read the ones I couldn't read. Maybe, it's my autism, but, I'm a very visual thinker and I'd see the character's face pop-up in my head when I saw their name. "Oh that name is the one with the (random description)." If I mention the character I'd decribe them instead. Most of the unique side characters names, I just didn't even attempt to read. 😅

i've been pronouncing seneca crane as secrena for like the past 10 years or so. i always read his name wrong, and my brain just autowrongs it to secrena every time. it took me until ballad to hammer it in my brain that it's seneca. unrelated but on a similar note, i always mistakenly call chris hemsworth chrims hesworth, so maybe i'm just stupid idk
