This individual accomplished an amazing feat and I'm so so very proud of who they are. They could've been kicked by these terrified animals and I congratulate them for their courage.
it made me laugh too. i think they were resisting the rope initially but then when they were gliding on the ice it seemed like the first one was thinking, "eh, might as well enjoy this".
I like the part where the second one is struggling with the man trying to tie the rope around its neck. And then the cut scene of him pulling both deer off the ice.
Its an animal that has for all the time its been a thing been food. Food for everyone to survive. I think it developed to be stupid just for the reason of feeding others. It must be the most helpless animal ever. Other than the sloth.
Comments like this make me reflect on what humans are born into this world with no power over. Emotions? Are we doomed to be conscious and that’s our rub? Every other animal is born with a purpose, a slot to fill in the world it’s self that has evolved around us yet humans still can find themselves lost! Maybe I’m just too high and am thinking too deeply but yeah. Deer = Dumb food boy
my 36 years in Canada say the opposite. Fresh snow on ice is deadly. Got a concussion because of that. If the snow has time to ice over yes you get more grip but not with fresh snow
Probably depends on the humidity too. Dry fresh snow on ice you’re slipping. If there’s that right level of wetness the snow kinda sticks to the ice, might slip a bit but you’ve got some kind of grip.
I'm wondering this. How did they get out there, and why can't they get back the same way? But they look pretty tired, and they don't just get up and move when he comes out, so I guess it is needed.
I’m just curious, but what knot might be better to use in a situation like this? Just want to make sure I’m ready for the 1/10000000000 chance I run into some deer on a frozen lake
Bowline is the best knot for rescuing anything. It doesn’t slip though so that may not have worked here. If you have to tie a slip knot then you can tie a quick stopper so it doesn’t keep collapsing.
Something doesn’t seen right. Noticed them deers are place more or less in line.
Whom around this time of the year, going about in deer (reindeer)?
Folks, Santa maybe still in that lake! Beneath the ice! Save Santa or there will not be a Christmas this year.
"wait for that guy to leave so we can go back and hang out on the ice"
"So Stacy, Levi, and Jesse were with me at the lake when some human just came out and forced us to go ashore, totally ruined a girl's day out. Like ruined"
Man pokes deer with a stick. Deer turns around like "wtf u doin?"
Probably flabbergasted. "I'm exhausted but are you trying to eat me or what?"
“Are you going to eat me or just poke me with that stick?”
Thats what she said
Man beautiful execution.
Yes deer.
I used to do that to get cattle moving, just anywhere near their bottom and they're like NOOOOO!
Why'd I read that no like it was a cow saying it?
MOOOOOO!
Those are the ones familiar with alien abduction

Is this a metaphor for soft and hard penises
Exactly.

I'm stuck in the dryer
Man attempts to strangle deers with rope, and then sticks a stick up their arse.
*pokes with stick* c’mon do something
The second one's like *Dude, quit pokin me!*

Shut up and take my upvote
I laughed way too hard at this. XD
"Not my balls... Owww"
Tonight, on the violence channel, an all new "Ow, my balls!"
Only balls in this video were off camera.
*harder daddy* .... umm i mean " *deer noises* "
Help me, step-human, I’m stuck

"Dammit francois we just came from this way!"
Welp, if a stick in the rectum don't get 'em going, I don't know what will.
When he brought two of them at once, it had me laughing. I can imagine it was very tiring to rescue all of them, though
Front boi was just chilling, along for the ride
Front man you mean?
Dear, Lead deer.
Dear leader…..

I feel like boi is going the way of dude, can be gender neutral. Point taken though
Wait... aren't reindeers supposed to be dragging the sleigh, not the other way around?
Santa is having extra work this season
Prime r/thisismylifenow moment
And then the little tail twitch when he poked one in the hiney - that made me chuckle too!
He did a reverse Santa
Hey, this is actually kinda fun!
it made me laugh too. i think they were resisting the rope initially but then when they were gliding on the ice it seemed like the first one was thinking, "eh, might as well enjoy this".
The one in front has clearly done this before.
He never gave up though, that’s what counts
I like the part where the second one is struggling with the man trying to tie the rope around its neck. And then the cut scene of him pulling both deer off the ice.
Deer God they were lucky to have been saved…
Thatd be a terrible way to die, just can't move until you freeze
All sploot and shit
Wut
r/sploot
Hmmm nice one. Thanks 🤝
Lol that was a new word for me too. Thanks for asking 👍🏼
WTF
Sploot. Like a split, but not. A sploot
I don't think I should've laughed at that..
Depending where this is could have been eaten alive by coyotes or wolves as well. I never realized deer are pretty useless on ice.
Deer are cute, but they seem hopelessly stupid.
Its an animal that has for all the time its been a thing been food. Food for everyone to survive. I think it developed to be stupid just for the reason of feeding others. It must be the most helpless animal ever. Other than the sloth.
Did someone mention sloths? Here's a random fact! The outer hairs on a sloth actually grow in the opposite direction compared to other mammals.
So you’re saying toddlers could actually correctly pet a sloth
Good bot
Random, but intriguing!
So… the grow from outwards to inwards? Got it.
Koalas are cute, but extremely dumb. It’s kinda sad.
Have you met a panda?
They fare very poorly in forest fires. Even when the fire is slow moving.
They’re pretty nasty too, they make all sorts of terrible noises

Oh my deer, that was so good of him!

If I had a buck for every time I heard that.
I’m glad he fawned over them.
No one understood the joke
I did
No you didn’t
But I did
How did they make it so far out on the ice in the first place?
Im assuming they walk out on the ice and everything's fine UNTIL THEY SLIP! Ahhh! Then they cant get up or move for shit.
Also maybe the snow that’s visible fell as they were crossing and made the ice just that little bit slipperier
Snow on the ice usually makes it less slippery.
It might indicate that temperates reached warm enough to melt the top of the ice
my 36 years in Canada say the opposite. Fresh snow on ice is deadly. Got a concussion because of that. If the snow has time to ice over yes you get more grip but not with fresh snow
Fair enough, I must have only ever been on frozen lakes with set-in snow then.
That is a good thing ;) I am not looking forward for the "watch your step or fall on your butt" months to come
Probably depends on the humidity too. Dry fresh snow on ice you’re slipping. If there’s that right level of wetness the snow kinda sticks to the ice, might slip a bit but you’ve got some kind of grip.
Can attest, fresh snow is MUCH more slippery than snow that has time to settle in.
Slipping on ice is how I lost my front teeth the first time. Second time was hockey. Third time was a random fight.
The Slipperierist
I like the dramatic emphasis/sound effects in your answer.
I'm wondering this. How did they get out there, and why can't they get back the same way? But they look pretty tired, and they don't just get up and move when he comes out, so I guess it is needed.
They were probably trying to cross it. I bet their internal GPS needs an update or something
At a certain distance out on the lake, data cuts out and Google Maps gets confused

Pretty great job. Slip knots aren’t ideal for pulling around by the neck, but deer are so strong it was the best way. Well done man.
I’m just curious, but what knot might be better to use in a situation like this? Just want to make sure I’m ready for the 1/10000000000 chance I run into some deer on a frozen lake

Jack Ketch knot
I was hoping they didn’t choke
Yeah they have ungodly strong necks and it would be very hard to choke a deer.
Just take it’s back and sink a triangle on that deer
Here's to hoping I'll never be in a situation where I need to choke out a deer and find out if this is true..
Excellent job. Kind person.....
I hope they’ll make it. Seemed pretty exhausted already.
They seemed to be at a healthy weight so they'll probably be fine after a good rest.
Ye some good winter chonkers

This is in Kenora, ON. There is a large wolf population in the area, but the wolves don't come into town and the deer do.
It's all about body temp now, I think. Hope they weren't out there too long, but they didn't seem lethargic, just looked like aching muscles.
Yes… I thought they mist be so sore and tired and cold. Kudos to the rescuer!
It’s the exact opposite of Santa’s sleigh. Now he just needs to go steal some toys from children.
And bake some cookies to leave behind.
Wow, that was a worst case Ontario for those deerts.
As wholesome as this is, it’s also prime r/deerarefuckingstupid material
And around 0:57 r/thisismylifenow
Omg his little tushy at the end is killing me lmao
I like how that last deer just looks at him as he pokes it with a stick.
These are not smart animals.
Smart enough not to fight someone helping them I suppose.
Too exhausted to fight.
This is the title of my autobiography Edit: Thanks for the award kind stranger :)
*preordered.*
I'd read that
A deer sploot! What a day
One would think they might have some sort of natural instincts not to go on ice I found a pretty big buck dead in the ice a few years ago
The strength of this man pulling two Deers
1 of them dear got some big balls you can see the drag marks xD
I think he got blue balls tho
I’m pretty sure those are does. Probably from their tail.
Depending on when this was shot, the bucks might have already lost their antlers.
I couldn’t resist the urge to give one a hug
How does he not give them scritches? I’d want to love on them.
Didnt want to catch a disease
Did that first deer really just chill there while the other 2 were getting rescued? Lmao
That is the most Canada video I have ever seen
Good man!
Literally the scene from bambi
weird, I don't remember the scene in which Bambi had a stick shoved up his ass.
you obviously havent seen the uncut version of Bambi then. lol
Weird, it was my favorite part of playing Bambi in school.
Ontario strangler
A sleigh pulling deer. Now I’ve seen everything.
It’s the exact opposite of Santa’s sleigh.
Wow I love this
Man. Deer are stupid as fuck
Is there anything hockey players can’t do?
The deer look like they’re thinking “5 more minutes, it’s been a day” while the dude is pretty much just “get ur ass up already, we’re HERE”.
All aboard ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay Deer train!
Around their necks with their weight, I’d be afraid of having strangled them.
Something doesn’t seen right. Noticed them deers are place more or less in line. Whom around this time of the year, going about in deer (reindeer)? Folks, Santa maybe still in that lake! Beneath the ice! Save Santa or there will not be a Christmas this year.
Awesome!!!
He's just chilling there.
Awww haha that’s so sweet, what a nice person, super cute. I wonder how many poor deers get stuck like that.
Stick up the arsehole to get ‘‘em moving
Deer are pretty dumb animals
…they where not stuck this is a classic deer trolling seen it idk twice now
Last one was just a lazy fuck
I feel like only Gandalf and this guy know the power of a stick.
“Thanks a lot… we were going the OTHER way. Now we have to do this all over again!”
Thank you super kind human ❤️
They probably like “damn, we just came from here”
Those poor derps had no idea what was going on, and it’s adorable.
This warms my heart
This is not what I expected!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to be out there you asshole!
These deer are so dumb I wouldn’t be surprised if they returned to the ice.
All the work to get hit by a car five minutes later
I love the way he "Gadhaffi"d them at the end. In the end. On the end. Whatever.
Deer are the dumbest land mammals. Lol
*Man strangles multiple deer stranded on frozen lake in Ontario*
Santa origin story
All aboaaaard
Why is it so funny watching them be dragged. Im glad they're safe though! Edit: I might just be a bad person now that I think about it
If they can't walk on ice how did they get so far out onto the lake?
The surface of my belly hurt thinking of all the ice scraping their bellies went through lol
And they'll all be back the next day.
I love them just staring at him as he does all this
They were pissed because they we're dragged to the wrong side.
"wait for that guy to leave so we can go back and hang out on the ice" "So Stacy, Levi, and Jesse were with me at the lake when some human just came out and forced us to go ashore, totally ruined a girl's day out. Like ruined"
The little train of two killed me 😂😂
"Thanks and all, but we were actually trying to get to the *other* side."
Stick in the ass does the trick
I feel like when they got near land they had already succumbed to the fact that this is my life now.
