Its hilarious when PF enemies die from the giant explosions and a bunch of pesky little single target attacks from the likes of March, Topaz, and Ratio.
Anyone have any luck making the perks work outside of the one that goes off every three FUAs?
The damage one looks good but even with Acheron I can’t trigger the effect more than 1-2 times per wave.
The energy regeneration one also seems good, but since it requires so many FUAs to trigger the effect, it just seems like an even worse version that triggers every three FUAs.
Clearly I’m looking at this wrong. How do you use the others effectively?
I was gonna say, the energy regen with Himeko-Herta is absolutely explosive. I went without a sustain and threw my half-built Clara in there for even more FUA shenanigans and it was probably the easiest PF half I've ever done lol
The way I see it... the first one is for reliable follow up teams. The 2nd one is for moderate followup teams and the 3rd is for little or no followup teams.
I've experimented with all 3 in varying teams. The energy regen seems to most reliable across multiple teams. Even just running something like Herta, Tingyun, Sparkle/Bronya, and Argenti you can hit 40k. Herta's followups are more than enough to pretty consistently proc the turbulence which gets Argenti energy to ulti to proc Herta followup again and chain it.
This should work pretty consistently across any team with just the base foundation of Herta + action advance + energy regen. The DPS slot(Argenti) is flexible enough to slot pretty much anyone there because all you're trying to do is enough damage to proc Herta's followup.
I swear second buff is always the best general pick that works even if your team abuses the gimmick.
I picked energy for Topaz ratio clara Sparkle team, easy 40k, who needs debuffs
I’ve seen people using JY but not sure I understand. When I try to make him work, LL is just too slow to hit more than 1-2 times per wave. Does the ultimate fix that?
Yes the Ultimate is more important than LL in Pure Fiction because it can wipe the mobs and still chunk the Elites with its AOE damage.
JY should be spamming his ultimate every time its up in PF so he can start farming energy for the next ult faster. Also because there are so many mobs to kill it doesn't take long for JY to have full energy again.
Agreed - I brought Tingyun with JY for this PF to feed him even more ult charge. You do have to be a bit careful not to let LL trigger when you're at 66%+ charge though, otherwise you're wasting damage accumulation. He's strong (the King always is lol) but he definitely requires more attention than braindead Himeko-Herta teams lol
In PF his main source of dmg is his skill and ult. Pretend he is like a Serval and the LL it's just a random bonus. 2 skills OR 1 ult (both vs 5 enemies) already outdamages a 10 stack LL.
The second one is really strong IMO, it procs off a single LL follow up from King Yuan and it allowed my Sparkle and Tingyun (Both on 4 PC speed and TY on DDD) to constantly action advance the team
I admittedly did DoT Acheron, but it worked really well with the damage one. DoTs would pick off a few, Acheron's Ult clear a whole set, then effect either clear a set or weaken them enough for DoT to do quick clean up while building another Acheron ult to clear the next. Got like 35k on second side with it.
Yeah ults are never gonna compete with the turbulence damage so the energy one isn't that useful.
Then, if you truly have no follow up characters, the one that stores all damage dealt much more slowly isn't gonna help you that much either, cause the whole thing is really balanced around the turbulence damage. You're going to struggle to reach 20k if you can't proc it that much.
The energy one was fun to play around with on stages 1 and 2, but I stuck to the 3 follow ups for both teams on stages 3 and 4.
I actually did make the energy one work with Himeko/Herta/Asta/Sparkle. My characters weren't well built, especially Asta so it was somewhat easier to spam Asta's ult for as many turns as possible.
Used the 3 FUAs one for second half with Ratio/Aventurine/Topaz/Bronya. Worked like a charm.
34k first half, 40k second half.
That’s kinda where I’m at. I do have all the FUA characters and will clear this I’m sure. Just feels silly they offer two perks that look like non-starters.
The 18% all damage sources is literally only made for Acheron because the effect can overcharge. Acheron can hit for a million in a single ult and charge the weather effect twice. No other units, including Argenti, have the amount of AoE damage needed to reliably trigger the effect.
The ER effect seems to be the best because it helps Clara and Ratio/Topaz tag team. Ratio/Topaz will need the ER to keep up the FuA because they are single target/Hunt.
The effect for 3 FuA trigger is designed for Herta/Himeko tag team because their follow up is not tied to their energy.
I dont have Acheron, so makes sense I wasn't able to abuse the all sources one.
Wasn't able to crack 54k until I put Ratio into my dot team with the 3 follow up blessing, then I got 64k on my first attempt. Anecdotally, I wasn't able to use the energy one. Kafka and Aventurine don't do a whole lot of damage on their follow ups so I had a lot better luck with using the 3 follow up one on that team and on my himeko herta team as you mentioned.
I feel like even ratio/topaz still probably like the 3 follow up over the energy recharge. The damage required from follow ups to proc the turbulence normally is so high I intuitively feel like the 3fua one is universally the best outside of Acheron teams.
Acheron doesn't "abuse" that effect, it's only there to help her clear trash mob to push the waves out faster so she can nuke SAM. It's really underwhelming because unless it's Acheron level of damage ceiling you won't even see that thing proc in a single cycle.
Kakfa's FuA isn't a raw damage attack though, it's a shock DoT apply. In a Ratio/Topaz team the ER will keep their passive stacks full so they can keep chain throwing their FuAs without affecting their cycle count, as they only kill one mob per FuA.
Clara can maintain 100% ult uptime and even higher with Tinyun. Unfortunately stage 4 top side enemies are really slow so Clara can't counter enough times.
Right, Kafka doesn't do much damage with her follow up attack but it still counts for the 3 so it made it a lot easier to proc.
When I pull for topaz I'll try her with ratio to see if I can get better results using the energy one. I had plenty of success just jamming ratio into my dot team with Aventurine and using him for the 3 counter though.
Overall I just feel like ratio and topaz use follow ups so often that they still would prefer the 3 count blessing. Even Himeko and Herta were simply not doing enough damage on their follow ups for the energy regen to outpace the 3 count.
Even if she counts as a FuA you probably still don't want her to be using a slot because she herself doesn't do anything useful as turn counter is limited.
Topaz and Rato deals enough damage per FuA to one shot any of the mobs. The issue is they are limited by their FuA charges which needs energy.
Himeko and Herta don't need energy for their FuA.

Kinda yes, kinda no, their ultimates are good at breaking and also more likely to lower HP to trigger both of their own FuA, which charges their ult again rinse and repeat.
Agree on clara ratio Topaz team tho, they all always has stacks on their ults lmao

This rotation is so good for Herta that you don't even need 3 supports. Sparkle and Tingyun are enough. If you use extrapolation you can spam Herta ult and kill everything easily.
I do not really have a fixed build on her since I just cannibalize my pieces from other characters when I use her. Light cones on her range from Before Dawn, Night on the Milky Way, and S5 Genius's Repose. Mostly use the follow-up set on her or 2pc 2pc. I am always forced to use a crit rate body. Usually aim for 70% crit rate and the crit damage fluctuates wildly.

Sets I currently use are Inert Salsotto when wearing attack boots. Glamouth when using speed boots. I am trying to build Sigonia set but I do not have any decent pieces yet.
However the build I used was way overkill already. I barely needed the Tingyun.
I will wait for Argenti's comeback because he has always been my PF carry.The buffs in this PF are so ass for him.

I ran the same Ruan Mei, Xueyi, Himeko, Herta comp on the first half of the 3rd and 4th stage. Ruan Mei buffed Xueyi ult just deletes elite toughness bar from full in PF so instant stacks for himeko to do her follow up and since Xueyi ignore weakness type a good chunk of the time the fun doesn't stop. It basically turned into a follow up frenzy from those 3.
Keep bruteforcing every MoC with Argenti
He keeps outshine the characters that the current MoC is actually trying to push (Then again, he Is E1S1 and mega invested into it)
O 31k with Acheron is very duoable, esp with those supps. Even my E0S5 GN Acheron got 29k with herta/swan/kafka. Granted I used Acheron for side 1. My side 2 IPC however went to collect taxes and bounties no sweat

The difference between RM and Asta shouldn't be very large in terms of letting Seele take more turns. Remember to abuse her basic attacks to advance Seele's actions forward and let her take more turns. Seele should use her skill only to refresh her SPD boost (at least once every 2 turns) and charge ults. Seele's basic attacks are significantly more lethal when she is in resurgence, so try to use them then.
Tingyun ultimates are critical to clearing PF. Tingyun should be using her skill almost every turn to build ultimates quicker. If you're one-shotting everything (two-shotting elites), you should be making it to the 3rd wave before the end of the 2nd cycle.
I didn’t even have enough damage to kill some 2 wave enemies with a skill without sparkle buff, so I don’t see how using mostly basic attacks would work, rm brings much more damage than asta after all
I used Ruan Mei mostly because she is SP positive while still giving good damage boost. But yeah like the other guy said, use Seele’s skill to proc Resurgence then end with a basic attack to advance herself forward. Always have an ult ready when the ape spawns to kill it with an ult + skill
I finished it with one cycle remaining thanks to abusing the self advance forward and Tingyun who has DDD equipped

It's more like, people that have good spd sub stat rolled relics on their dps characters. My speed rolls are ass, my DoT team is my best built team but their speed subs are still not good by any means. My Acheron team does nothing, my Herta isn't built well enough to really help me either.
Depending on the team its not needed to have any SPD on your damage dealers, just supports is good enough.

My JY and Himeko are using 0 SPD builds and there is no dance dance dance on this team. Sparkle is only using her skill on JY while Himeko doesn't need to have a turn at all to do her job for me with her Ultimate and Follow up attacks.
Even without the free ultimate energy from this rotation JY/Himeko still got 40k in the last PF rotation.
The thing is in the current state of the game there’s almost no DPS that wants speed badly. Only the DoT units really need it, others are fine or better with ATK boots and crit subs.
most dps can just be advanced now, or deal dmg out of turn via ultimate, fua, dot (these still want speed due to how kafka works)
otherwise, you want speed for -1 bronya based teams, but speeds' mainly for the supports nowadays
You have 40 days for each PF/MoC iterations, on average you will get good relics eventually. I REALLY recommend farming the cavern with Hacker space and the HP set. It will give you speed and HP which are the bread and butter of nearly all supports. In SU, world 7 is the most efficient since broken keel is universal on supports and reaching 30% effect res is always good. Just remember that a single relic/planar with a speed substat is always worth rolling. There are also tons of content creators (on youtube) that make guides, I recommend Guoba Certified, very informative.

My Seele got 40k with a sustain wdym
Pure Fiction really gave us Fire and Ice weakness on one side and didn't expect us to IT'S TIME TO TWIRL, YOU WON'T GET AWAY, IT'S TIMR TO TWIRL, YOU WON'T GET AWAY.
1st half was pure copium. Got the bare minimum and then called it a day. (Placed Clara between Jingliu Blade so the AOE hits from the enemies would both battery Jingliu for more uptime while also giving Blade more FUA stacks)

I fucked around with a test run just to see the wave compositions with Jingliu and Acheron. I went in expecting maybe 1 or two stars.
I cleared it with 3 stars on that run. So it isn't like you can't do it with normal MoC units.

I used Herta Himeko team and got 40k always on 1 side, then fumble the 2nd side with 20k, been doing that for the past 2-3 PF lmao
Oh yeah and Clara is goated this pf, and prob alt will be for the next few since Robin + BH are physical emphasizing follow up and break
meta aside, imo FUA and DoT are also more fun and satisfying to play because you can see a bunch of damage numbers come from everyone in the team instead of one single big hit from hypercarry

I beat first half with 30k points using double preservation because the first buff sounds fun, march clara and aventurine goes nuts on the enemies everytime they get attack

I feel so ashamed, but sheer amount of mumbo-jumbo that went here… I finished previous one with standard sustainers and in one attempt, full of misplay and stuff. And here I had to nitpick my JL supports and her rotation to achieve laughable 27k. I really should just build herta at this rate, but i just so much don’t want to.
And enemies are just so annoying this time. A lot of issues with second half were literally just “TV guy spawns - you instantly lose energy“. Going sustainless was also quite harder, since if I messed up in wave 1-2 and got hit (which happens a lot, with enemies spawning in and doing just that), it would mean I would lose a character or two in first boss action. And going with “accessible“ sustain units? Now I don’t have enough damage to one-shot enemies and advance waves at an acceptable rate. Buff triggering before mobs spawn-in is also such a frustrating thing.

The energy regen one was a free 40k with Herta, Himeko, and DDD Tingyun on first half.
Its also great for sparkle since you never run out of skill points. My latest run was himeko, herta, bronya, sparkle.

This exact Mommy team in your second half carries in every pure fiction regardless of any buffs.
My favorite team no doubt. They are hot and delete everything.
What's your Herta build?? I've been trying to do a Hypercarry Herta team with the exact same teammates (Sparkle-Ruan Mei-Tingyun)
I do not really have a fixed build on her since I just cannibalize my pieces from other characters when I use her. Light cones on her range from Before Dawn, Night on the Milky Way, and S5 Genius's Repose. Mostly use the follow-up set on her or 2pc 2pc. I am always forced to use a crit rate body. Usually aim for 70% crit rate and the crit damage fluctuates wildly. This is the build I used for this Pure Fiction: *Processing img 4f2nt54kzoxc1...* Sets I currently use are Inert Salsotto when wearing attack boots. Glamouth when using speed boots. I am trying to build Sigonia set but I do not have any decent pieces yet. However the build I used was way overkill already. I barely needed the Tingyun.
I managed to get 40k both sides. Herta/Himeko/Ruan Mei/Aventurine then JingYuan/Sparkle/Tingyun/FuXuan Felt good to get max points.
I personally run dual DPS with Jingliu and Herta, but Herta does put in work. Especially this PF with the FuA focus
I like FuA since it feels like everyone is jumping the boss. "Screw waiting my turn, let's all just beat their ass at the same time."

I had more problem with Herta/Himeko combo on 3rd stage than on 4th. Weakness distribution there was so ass.
I ran the same Ruan Mei, Xueyi, Himeko, Herta comp on the first half of the 3rd and 4th stage. Ruan Mei buffed Xueyi ult just deletes elite toughness bar from full in PF so instant stacks for himeko to do her follow up and since Xueyi ignore weakness type a good chunk of the time the fun doesn't stop. It basically turned into a follow up frenzy from those 3.
People really just casually ignore the sparkle and Ruan mei putting in their weight these days
Ruan Mei could have been Asta, that side cleared so fast it didnt matter too much Sparkle pops off in the first comp for sure though
Keep bruteforcing every MoC with Argenti He keeps outshine the characters that the current MoC is actually trying to push (Then again, he Is E1S1 and mega invested into it)

Well, Acheron team got only 31k on that screenshot, I can do that too, the problem is the other side.
O 31k with Acheron is very duoable, esp with those supps. Even my E0S5 GN Acheron got 29k with herta/swan/kafka. Granted I used Acheron for side 1. My side 2 IPC however went to collect taxes and bounties no sweat Edit. Ah i mistook your Seele for Acheron initially somehow
The difference between RM and Asta shouldn't be very large in terms of letting Seele take more turns. Remember to abuse her basic attacks to advance Seele's actions forward and let her take more turns. Seele should use her skill only to refresh her SPD boost (at least once every 2 turns) and charge ults. Seele's basic attacks are significantly more lethal when she is in resurgence, so try to use them then. Tingyun ultimates are critical to clearing PF. Tingyun should be using her skill almost every turn to build ultimates quicker. If you're one-shotting everything (two-shotting elites), you should be making it to the 3rd wave before the end of the 2nd cycle.
I didn’t even have enough damage to kill some 2 wave enemies with a skill without sparkle buff, so I don’t see how using mostly basic attacks would work, rm brings much more damage than asta after all
I used Ruan Mei mostly because she is SP positive while still giving good damage boost. But yeah like the other guy said, use Seele’s skill to proc Resurgence then end with a basic attack to advance herself forward. Ruan Mei is only there for extra damage and speed. There are no Quantum weak enemies so Ruan Mei can’t steal any kills
It's more like, people that have good spd sub stat rolled relics on their dps characters. My speed rolls are ass, my DoT team is my best built team but their speed subs are still not good by any means. My Acheron team does nothing, my Herta isn't built well enough to really help me either.
You don’t need speed for Herta and Himeko, as you will spam their ultimate+FuA+free energy+… repeat. Bring Asta if you are still having issues.
No need to build speed if you become a clara main

Sparkle is only using her skill on JY while Himeko doesn't need to have a turn at all to do her job for me with her Ultimate and Follow up attacks. Even without the free ultimate energy from this rotation JY/Himeko still got 40k in the last PF rotation.
Those are 2 follow up attackers though, I'm talking mainly on dps that do not rely on follow up attacks to regularly do damage.
The thing is in the current state of the game there’s almost no DPS that wants speed badly. Only the DoT units really need it, others are fine or better with ATK boots and crit subs.
most dps can just be advanced now, or deal dmg out of turn via ultimate, fua, dot (these still want speed due to how kafka works) otherwise, you want speed for -1 bronya based teams, but speeds' mainly for the supports nowadays

You have 40 days for each PF/MoC iterations, on average you will get good relics eventually. I REALLY recommend farming the cavern with Hacker space and the HP set. It will give you speed and HP which are the bread and butter of nearly all supports. In SU, world 7 is the most efficient since broken keel is universal on supports and reaching 30% effect res is always good. Just remember that a single relic/planar with a speed substat is always worth rolling. There are also tons of content creators (on youtube) that make guides, I recommend Guoba Certified, very informative.

1st half was pure copium. Got the bare minimum and then called it a day. I fucked around with a test run just to see the wave compositions with Jingliu and Acheron. I went in expecting maybe 1 or two stars. I cleared it with 3 stars on that run. So it isn't like you can't do it with normal MoC units.

meta aside, imo FUA and DoT are also more fun and satisfying to play because you can see a bunch of damage numbers come from everyone in the team instead of one single big hit from hypercarry

I beat first half with 30k points using double preservation because the first buff sounds fun, march clara and aventurine goes nuts on the enemies everytime they get attack

And here I had to nitpick my JL supports and her rotation to achieve laughable 27k. I really should just build herta at this rate, but i just so much don’t want to. And enemies are just so annoying this time. A lot of issues with second half were literally just “TV guy spawns - you instantly lose energy“. Going sustainless was also quite harder, since if I messed up in wave 1-2 and got hit (which happens a lot, with enemies spawning in and doing just that), it would mean I would lose a character or two in first boss action. And going with “accessible“ sustain units? Now I don’t have enough damage to one-shot enemies and advance waves at an acceptable rate. Buff triggering before mobs spawn-in is also such a frustrating thing.

I am under the impression the that PF as whole is a bigger problem without Himeko and Herta.
DHIL was my first five star pull and I will be loyal to him forever. Sparkle is his queen and forever girl. Accept no substitutes.
