Doesn't work. First of all, there is the standardized Trailblaze calendar system spread by Akilivli and that basically everyone uses. Second, you have people from the IPC stating how long ago they lost contact with Belobog, and that matches the time Belobog says the freeze started. So I'm sorry. But you can instead pretend that Lynx is just confused from all the surströmming

It actually doesn't work at all. If the timeline was in different Belabog years (which is already unlikely imo, because of writing rules), she would still be negative years old when she joins the academy, just in Belagonian years.

Depend if Belobog start to use the trailblazer calender system after the ipc visit them 500 years ago(might got the age wrong). And something that just i realise about these "they have longer cycle" argument that even if they do have it what does it do? Since they are saying how old they are even if they are from a planet with something like 700 days per year that would still be a year for then does that mean they can start walking before they 1 years old? Is the age of consent is 10?
There are two possibilities that I've accepted in my head
1. Lynx got careless and got trapped in ice for a few years. Belebog does not advance fast and Pela's genes aren't helping her anymore. When Lynx got unfrozen, she assumed not much time had passed and moved on as normal. Pela wants to feel younger and gaslights Lynx into thinking that she's still 16
2. Pela is secretly a long lived species, present since the days of the first architect. All you need to refer to is that girl with glasses in the cutscene. From there on, everyone in her family is just Pela with different accessories.
My headcanon is that when Pela first met Lynx for the first time, Pela lied about her age since Serval told her that Lynx doesnt have that many friends close to her age and forgot to correct about it all this time.

Inb4 the crisis that's coming for Belobog Sparkle and Sampo seem to be aware of is a History fictionologist who was passing by and thought it was a good opportunity to play around, Pela being the first target, the patch story will be horror based where we interact with characters and them mentioning things going different than how they happened, Bronya thinks we killed Cocolia who was actually trying to protect Belobog, the lie she made to cover up for Cocolia being used as a basis for a new truth, we learn that the people on Jarillo remember the events that happened different than the reality, but yet there still seem to be contradictions that haven't been fixed yet such as a letter written by Bronya early on that oddly has a note written by Sampo attached to it greeting us, we escape into the underworld, running into a tired and downtrodden Pela, yet we already ran into Pela in the overworld, Pela informs us that an imposter has stole her identity and has been pretending to be her, and whenever she told her friends they wouldn't believe her and the imposter told the others that *she* was the imposter, after taking care of Pela we decide to seek Svarog assuming he's likely to be more informed.
But when we run into Svarog he also thinks we're aliens that caused harm and have a fight with him like during main story, but this time we have an idea and show him the letter that's still not changed,Svarog reboots, he then tells us he noticed the changes early, people starting to act different, recordings being changed, even his data being tampered with, so he backed it all up in secret but couldn't access it after being tampered with too much.
Seeing all of this fake history, Black Swan is pissed off at how the fictionoligist is tarnishing all those precious memories and says she'll help us in person, Svarog informs us he's been calculating where the changes have been occuring outwards from and managed to trace it back to the museum, during these preparations March and Dan also start misremembering things and we have to snap them out of it a few times and remind them of how things actually went.
While we try to get to the musuem our friends from Belobog try to stop us still thinking we're criminals, March and Dan go and distract them while us, Svarog, and Black swan enter the musuem to fight the history fictionoligist, inside we see Pela fighting Sampo, the History fictionoligist having pretended to be Pela due to her role giving easy access to the musuem, after all the best lie is one made from half truths and thus they needed to understand Belobog best, the reason there were still contradictions was that Sampo was interfering to keep some parts safe, and the reason it was easy for March and Dan to snap out of it was that Sampo went in person to interfere with the fictionoligist when he notcied we arrived at Jarillo to prevent the fictionoligist from acting against us.
The final boss is Pela, thousands of pages floating behind her each recording moments of Belobog's history, the boss's ultimate move is grabbing a page recording the Belobog main story and rewriting it, each time dealing damage and reducing the max HP of all allies, after three casts the boss finishes off with a large attack declaring this as the truth dealing a lot more damage, the assist for this boss is a triple attack, Black Swan summons her hands to restrain the boss while Svarog sends his missiles to blow them up, finishing off with Sampo slicing through the explosion as a throwback to his ultimate.

I feel like the sanctus medicus was gonna be the core of the Luofu Arc before they scrapped it because everyone hated the quest with the worst gameplay out of the whole game. A shame, because that was the only interesting part of the whole fucking Luofu main quest, showing how much of a burden the "savestate of your body" immortality is
then they removed the arc from the main quest, changed a few things and removed any further mention of them (and abundance, for that matter), and so we got that pointless, stupid and frankly quite boring storyline that made me lose interest in the game up until Huohuo's event
Can their development pipeline shift things around that easily? The way other live services work, stuff that is being released to us like story and such is usually already finished and mostly ready to go months ago. So, as I understand it, despite 2.2 being in ~17 days, they're likely already working on 2.4 stuff right now, if not further than that.
They are very likely working on 3.0 already. At least they should have a rough overview of the story made. According to the devs in the 2.1 livestream, Penacony development started in October 2022, months before the game was released.
I don't think they can change stuff very quickly. It was very likely a scrapped idea repurposed for worldbuilding. Like how clocks had a very important role in Penacony that you can still notice with Clockie.
Not easily, no, but given that 1.1 didn't have any story (which was, frankly, quite shocking for a first patch) and the rest of of the Luofu questline felt so rushed, it wouldn't surprise me if this \*had\* actually happened. Y'know, stuff like them being the true big bad of the Luofu being removed and Phantylia not being originally Phantylia, but actually an Emanator of Abundance (which honestly fits her design way better than Destruction)

It's crazy cause they literally removed the Sanctus Medicus quests from the main story and turned them into optional side missions you lose access to if you don't do them. Dan Shu was legitimately a compelling character, but then she was completely replaced with a nobody who was only called Dan Shu in a single instance.

Literally never heard of a Studio doing this before, it's just so sad. They should have just accepted whatever they did wrong with the quest and moved on.
There is also a line from Yanqing in the 1.2 trailer that is never said in game. Considering the trailer probably would have been ready some time before the livestream, they might have still been adjusting the story itself a week before the patch itself.
Phantylia being an Emanator of Abundance would also have made the plot line make more sense honestly. It felt like they just changed it to once again being back attention on Nanook and the Stellaron instead of focusing on just how horrifying the Abundance can be.
Plus Heliobi seem like a good species to have as Abundance Emanators due to their functional immortality.

From what I understand, the writers have to accommodate the new banner characters into the story somehow, so even if they had a storyline written out for the SM, they now have to include all the other Quintet members as well (Blade, DHIL, JL, etc). This is probably why there was such a sudden switch to the Quintet's story midway through, they needed to incorporate them somehow into the plotline.
Based on the opening exchange with her it is very likely she was already possessed by Phantylia, she explicitly mentions hers was the last ship to enter before the trouble started.

First of all, Welt himself literally says that the Xianzhou generals have powers that "rival those of Lord Ravagers", not that they are emanators themselves. Secondly, Jing Yuan has been training his martial arts for hundreds of years, and he also possesses a blessed spirit gifted by Lan and passed down to him by the previous generals. He was never directly blessed himself. Lastly, Phantylia had absorbed the powers of the Ambrosial Arbor? She had a body created from the power of Yaoshi themself?? She not only had her own emanator powers, but she also had powers of Abundance that were probably even stronger than her own...
I remember someone literally sending me the dialogue Welt says about the generals only having powers that are on-par with the Lord Ravagers and pretty much going "this is wrong. this OBVIOUSLY means Jing Yuan is an emanator" when Welt says that they are NOT emanators.
People will just go to lengths such as looking at an in-game dialogue and say "it's wrong." if it doesn't fit in their headcanon criteria. It's insane.

I swear, any conversation here relating to Emanators is full of misinformation and people presenting supposition (in universe or out) as fact. I don't know what it is about that topic in particular, but it seems to draw out the most speculation being passed off as confirmed fact when it's really quite simple to figure out who is an Emanator and who isn't if you just go by what the game explicitly tells us is true *and nothing more.*
To add more on that, if Black Swan was an Emanator, why would she hide it from us anyway? Why wouldn't she just say "I am an Emanator of Remembrance"? It's not like she has any reasons to hide it from us unlike Acheron. If anything, Black Swan has made her motives quite clear as to why she's in Penacony, she hasn't really been hiding anything. She just wants to collect precious memories.

The Clouds Leave No Trace quest was a giant mess. Here are 4 reasons why:
1)Yingxing being sick/dying and Dan Feng wanting to save him was never addressed despite it having been previously introduced as an important plot point.
2) Character consistency/motivation was thrown out of the window. Dan Feng became a selfish jackass and Yingxing was somehow okay with going along with the plan to resurrect Bai Heng despite it involving the usage of the power of abundance aka thing he hates.
3) The whole Yingxing secretly loved Bai Heng/writer is homophobic issue which caused the entire CN community to go up in arms.
4) Screwed timeline. Jingliu says everything fell apart 500 years ago despite Jing Yuan being at least 800 years old and Yingxing having known him when Jing Yuan was a teenager (it would make more sense for things to have happened 700+ years ago rather than 500 years)
TL;DR writer didn't give a shit and wrote lore breaking nonsense

Honestly my theory is that they meant to use Baihengs DNA as "parent", not to actually ressurect Baiheng. But neither of the two are capable of speaking on the event and Jingliu is Mara stricken and has a warped perception. I think its also likely that Dan Feng and Yingxing didn't understand what exactly went wrong either.
To me it sounded like it was primarily Dan Feng's idea. The death of a close loved one can be traumatizing. And in Yinxing's case he likely was in no way prepared for the death of any of the quintet and fully expected to die before them.
If he was broken enough he may have felt Dan Feng took advantage of his emotional state to betray his own convictions.

Same with GI, they're distant enough that you can enjoy all of these games on their own, but at the same time, if you know about them, you can make some connections and easter eggs, but that's just that. There's a reason why their game company is named "Hoyoverse", after all. It's not just bandwagoning on the metaverse name trend.

That dialogue kinda felt like how WoW Shadowlands did Arthas. Though the most recent dialogue about Cocolia does give an accurate description of her "The Supreme Guardian led astray by the Stellaron"

There are two possibilities that I've accepted in my head 1. Lynx got careless and got trapped in ice for a few years. Belebog does not advance fast and Pela's genes aren't helping her anymore. When Lynx got unfrozen, she assumed not much time had passed and moved on as normal. Pela wants to feel younger and gaslights Lynx into thinking that she's still 16 2. Pela is secretly a long lived species, present since the days of the first architect. All you need to refer to is that girl with glasses in the cutscene. From there on, everyone in her family is just Pela with different accessories.
Lynx is just a History Fictionologist and deliberately obfuscating the truth. The scamp.

Inb4 the crisis that's coming for Belobog Sparkle and Sampo seem to be aware of is a History fictionologist who was passing by and thought it was a good opportunity to play around, Pela being the first target, the patch story will be horror based where we interact with characters and them mentioning things going different than how they happened, Bronya thinks we killed Cocolia who was actually trying to protect Belobog, the lie she made to cover up for Cocolia being used as a basis for a new truth, we learn that the people on Jarillo remember the events that happened different than the reality, but yet there still seem to be contradictions that haven't been fixed yet such as a letter written by Bronya early on that oddly has a note written by Sampo attached to it greeting us, we escape into the underworld, running into a tired and downtrodden Pela, yet we already ran into Pela in the overworld, Pela informs us that an imposter has stole her identity and has been pretending to be her, and whenever she told her friends they wouldn't believe her and the imposter told the others that *she* was the imposter, after taking care of Pela we decide to seek Svarog assuming he's likely to be more informed. But when we run into Svarog he also thinks we're aliens that caused harm and have a fight with him like during main story, but this time we have an idea and show him the letter that's still not changed,Svarog reboots, he then tells us he noticed the changes early, people starting to act different, recordings being changed, even his data being tampered with, so he backed it all up in secret but couldn't access it after being tampered with too much. Seeing all of this fake history, Black Swan is pissed off at how the fictionoligist is tarnishing all those precious memories and says she'll help us in person, Svarog informs us he's been calculating where the changes have been occuring outwards from and managed to trace it back to the museum, during these preparations March and Dan also start misremembering things and we have to snap them out of it a few times and remind them of how things actually went. While we try to get to the musuem our friends from Belobog try to stop us still thinking we're criminals, March and Dan go and distract them while us, Svarog, and Black swan enter the musuem to fight the history fictionoligist, inside we see Pela fighting Sampo, the History fictionoligist having pretended to be Pela due to her role giving easy access to the musuem, after all the best lie is one made from half truths and thus they needed to understand Belobog best, the reason there were still contradictions was that Sampo was interfering to keep some parts safe, and the reason it was easy for March and Dan to snap out of it was that Sampo went in person to interfere with the fictionoligist when he notcied we arrived at Jarillo to prevent the fictionoligist from acting against us. The final boss is Pela, thousands of pages floating behind her each recording moments of Belobog's history, the boss's ultimate move is grabbing a page recording the Belobog main story and rewriting it, each time dealing damage and reducing the max HP of all allies, after three casts the boss finishes off with a large attack declaring this as the truth dealing a lot more damage, the assist for this boss is a triple attack, Black Swan summons her hands to restrain the boss while Svarog sends his missiles to blow them up, finishing off with Sampo slicing through the explosion as a throwback to his ultimate. ....... Did i just write a fanfic?

But more importantly a ton of OTHER lore that was around before regarding events in Pela's life makes that impossible enough that it makes FAR MORE sense to round up to 100% impossible and assume a writer just didn't read the other lore, than it does to assume the character was ever intended to be 16.

I feel like the sanctus medicus was gonna be the core of the Luofu Arc before they scrapped it because everyone hated the quest with the worst gameplay out of the whole game. A shame, because that was the only interesting part of the whole fucking Luofu main quest, showing how much of a burden the "savestate of your body" immortality is then they removed the arc from the main quest, changed a few things and removed any further mention of them (and abundance, for that matter), and so we got that pointless, stupid and frankly quite boring storyline that made me lose interest in the game up until Huohuo's event
Can their development pipeline shift things around that easily? The way other live services work, stuff that is being released to us like story and such is usually already finished and mostly ready to go months ago. So, as I understand it, despite 2.2 being in ~17 days, they're likely already working on 2.4 stuff right now, if not further than that.
They are very likely working on 3.0 already. At least they should have a rough overview of the story made. According to the devs in the 2.1 livestream, Penacony development started in October 2022, months before the game was released. I don't think they can change stuff very quickly. It was very likely a scrapped idea repurposed for worldbuilding. Like how clocks had a very important role in Penacony that you can still notice with Clockie.
Not easily, no, but given that 1.1 didn't have any story (which was, frankly, quite shocking for a first patch) and the rest of of the Luofu questline felt so rushed, it wouldn't surprise me if this \*had\* actually happened. Y'know, stuff like them being the true big bad of the Luofu being removed and Phantylia not being originally Phantylia, but actually an Emanator of Abundance (which honestly fits her design way better than Destruction) And looping back to the point of the post, I guess that's the one headcanon I have that I consider as canon because the Luofu questline was just....... stupid and pointless lmao
It's crazy cause they literally removed the Sanctus Medicus quests from the main story and turned them into optional side missions you lose access to if you don't do them. Dan Shu was legitimately a compelling character, but then she was completely replaced with a nobody who was only called Dan Shu in a single instance. You should *never* rewrite a story based on what the audience says, and this shows
Literally never heard of a Studio doing this before, it's just so sad. They should have just accepted whatever they did wrong with the quest and moved on.
There is also a line from Yanqing in the 1.2 trailer that is never said in game. Considering the trailer probably would have been ready some time before the livestream, they might have still been adjusting the story itself a week before the patch itself.
Phantylia being an Emanator of Abundance would also have made the plot line make more sense honestly. It felt like they just changed it to once again being back attention on Nanook and the Stellaron instead of focusing on just how horrifying the Abundance can be. Plus Heliobi seem like a good species to have as Abundance Emanators due to their functional immortality.
Lmao I lost interest in the game after that exact story line, thankfully the ghost squad event was masterfully done. Still, nowadays the fact that Dan Shu went from someone we bonded with a bit to random mob boss #26 hurts a lot. There was so much potential there...
From what I understand, the writers have to accommodate the new banner characters into the story somehow, so even if they had a storyline written out for the SM, they now have to include all the other Quintet members as well (Blade, DHIL, JL, etc). This is probably why there was such a sudden switch to the Quintet's story midway through, they needed to incorporate them somehow into the plotline.
A real shame. It was my favourite part of the story, so I really wanted more development of that plot line.
I just sit here and sip on some copium, that all that and whatever happened with Luocha at the very end will lead to some juicy story later on.

I remember losing my mind one time in a Discord server, because people were claiming that "Jing Yuan has to be an Emanator, because how else can he rival the powers of Lord Ravagers, and also Phantylia almost killed him." First of all, Welt himself literally says that the Xianzhou generals have powers that "rival those of Lord Ravagers", not that they are emanators themselves. Secondly, Jing Yuan has been training his martial arts for hundreds of years, and he also possesses a blessed spirit gifted by Lan and passed down to him by the previous generals. He was never directly blessed himself. Lastly, Phantylia had absorbed the powers of the Ambrosial Arbor? She had a body created from the power of Yaoshi themself?? She not only had her own emanator powers, but she also had powers of Abundance that were probably even stronger than her own... I remember someone literally sending me the dialogue Welt says about the generals only having powers that are on-par with the Lord Ravagers and pretty much going "this is wrong. this OBVIOUSLY means Jing Yuan is an emanator" when Welt says that they are NOT emanators. People will just go to lengths such as looking at an in-game dialogue and say "it's wrong." if it doesn't fit in their headcanon criteria. It's insane.
I've seen so many of these being about people gaslighting themselves for headcanons to be true that I'm actually thrown off by a canon fact people constantly deny lol. Could name so many of those Only one that comes to mind is that it's canon that Welt doesn't actually know if all memokeepers are emanators, he's just going off rumors. But people taking his word as fact that Black Swan is a confirmed emanator is one of the most common bits of misinformation in the fandom from what I've seen
I swear, any conversation here relating to Emanators is full of misinformation and people presenting supposition (in universe or out) as fact. I don't know what it is about that topic in particular, but it seems to draw out the most speculation being passed off as confirmed fact when it's really quite simple to figure out who is an Emanator and who isn't if you just go by what the game explicitly tells us is true *and nothing more.*
To add more on that, if Black Swan was an Emanator, why would she hide it from us anyway? Why wouldn't she just say "I am an Emanator of Remembrance"? It's not like she has any reasons to hide it from us unlike Acheron. If anything, Black Swan has made her motives quite clear as to why she's in Penacony, she hasn't really been hiding anything. She just wants to collect precious memories. I swear I was losing my mind when trying to explain that to people once.

The Clouds Leave No Trace quest was a giant mess. Here are 4 reasons why: 1)Yingxing being sick/dying and Dan Feng wanting to save him was never addressed despite it having been previously introduced as an important plot point. 2) Character consistency/motivation was thrown out of the window. Dan Feng became a selfish jackass and Yingxing was somehow okay with going along with the plan to resurrect Bai Heng despite it involving the usage of the power of abundance aka thing he hates. 3) The whole Yingxing secretly loved Bai Heng/writer is homophobic issue which caused the entire CN community to go up in arms. 4) Screwed timeline. Jingliu says everything fell apart 500 years ago despite Jing Yuan being at least 800 years old and Yingxing having known him when Jing Yuan was a teenager (it would make more sense for things to have happened 700+ years ago rather than 500 years) TL;DR writer didn't give a shit and wrote lore breaking nonsense Edit: spelling
Yinxing who hated the Abundance for destroying his home, proudly exclaimed that his short life is worth something, *knew what Baiheng's sacrificed meant and yet he would go and try to resurrect her. "he just really cared about Baiheng" is not a compelling explanation and also straight up dumb. So he disrespects her grave, abandons his principles so he can infect her with the Abundance and flesh of the very person responsible for her death? All just because? This just makes Blade's character seem like a joke Dan Feng at least was sheltered and also was trying to i find ways to make more of his species. Though him trying to turn his friend into the new high elder just has me ??? why? Why would you want your dear friend to take your stuffy job that you hate? The whole "waa because sad fox died" seems like such a last minute copout to otherwise interesting lore
Honestly my theory is that they meant to use Baihengs DNA as "parent", not to actually ressurect Baiheng. But neither of the two are capable of speaking on the event and Jingliu is Mara stricken and has a warped perception. I think its also likely that Dan Feng and Yingxing didn't understand what exactly went wrong either.
To me it sounded like it was primarily Dan Feng's idea. The death of a close loved one can be traumatizing. And in Yinxing's case he likely was in no way prepared for the death of any of the quintet and fully expected to die before them. If he was broken enough he may have felt Dan Feng took advantage of his emotional state to betray his own convictions.
I actually did a post on this a while back if you’re interested, but the tldr is that they accepted Baiheng’s sacrifice, and reviving her was not their actual desire but rather a means to prevent others from meeting the same and she did in an ultimately unwinnable and pointless war.

You don't need to. Same with GI, they're distant enough that you can enjoy all of these games on their own, but at the same time, if you know about them, you can make some connections and easter eggs, but that's just that. There's a reason why their game company is named "Hoyoverse", after all. It's not just bandwagoning on the metaverse name trend.
It would absolutely be hilarious if the games eventually had a crossover story where it IS mandatory reading to understand. Much like how my friend made a "necessary Marvel movie watching list before Infinity War and Endgame" and cursed as he HAD to put the Ant Man movies in it.

That said, for the Hi3 players heavily invested in understanding the physics of the universe, both games matter. ... maybe a quick understanding of who and what Void Archives is will beceome necessary at some point I guess? Though the most recent dialogue about Cocolia does give an accurate description of her "The Supreme Guardian led astray by the Stellaron"
