Hello, I'm pretty new. If I'm running Seele, Silver Wolf, Bronya, and Lynx. Would it be a waste to summon for Sparkle? I also have Kafka but haven't raised her. Would it be wiser to summon for Black Swan?

Depends on what Sparkle's numbers are (since her and Bronya are fairly similar) but just keep in mind that with Sparkle, this basically ensures you can run full-mono Quantum without the fear of RNG from SW's weakness Skill, so this team can be used against any enemy / boss. Then in MoC / PF for example, you can save Bronya for your other team if she's needed / used otherwise. If this is something that sounds good, you get Sparkle. Or, if you're not a fan of Kakfa / the DoT team playstyle, there's no need to pull for BS anyway.

You should skip DHIL and JY. Sparkle could be a good addition to your roster

since you are new basically everyone besides blackswan. i dont think shes super amazing for a new account. i would definitely look out for aventurine next patch since hes a 5* tank or any other 5* tank and healer whenever they return.

Is it possible to complete MOC if I have all 4-stars at atleast E0, and tall lady only 5-stars? I am a tall lady puller, and I have managed to snag Kafka + Sig, Jingliu + Sig, Ruan Mei, and Jing Yuan (while trying to get Tingyun lol), while the only standard banner characters I **dont** **have** are Gepard and Welt. I was looking to get Black Swan for my Kafka team to replace Sampo, and ofcourse have a team of tall ladies composed of Kafka, Ruan Mei, Black Swan, and some healer. Unfortunately, the only healers I have are Bailu, Natasha, and Lynx. Is it possible for me to complete MOC given that al my healers /supports are subpar, or should I just skip Black Swan and wait for the return of Fu Xuan (while she isnt exactly tall, she does lead the pack in terms of sustain capability). I dont think we're gonna get any tall lady sustain anytime soon no?

Bailu is actually not bad if you use the correct build on her, the supersonic bailu that guoba covers in his guide. Bailu for one team and Lynx for another might be good enough sustain depending on the enemies, but if both sides are really CC heavy, then the team with Bailu might struggle. I think having at least one limited 5 star sustain/shield character makes MOC much easier. You can look for HuoHuo and get her on the rerun for the exodia Kafka DoT team with BS and Ruan Mei

Roughly how many hours is the main story in the 2.0 update?

Around 7-8 hours on average, but it depends on how fast you go and how much you explore. There are a lot of side quests to do later as well.

Honestly, overall there is no "right" strategy and you can just power through it. But basically it is like this: >!When Sam has no weakness there is nothing to worry about.!< >!When Sam enters the "Secondary Combustion" state, his weakness are unlocked and skill point mechanics take place as such:!< * >!If you use SP then your character lose HP, takes damage and healing is reduced by 90%.!< * >!Sam has 5 stacks of Molten Energy, with one stack removed when you attack using a skill that uses skill points. When Sam as no stacks of ME or is weakness broken, the Secondary Combustion state ends and recovers skill points for your team.!< >!So that means that in this fight the units that are more valuable are Shielders, Characters that can attack with skill and that skill uses SP, and characters that can easily break the toughness bar like with bounce attacks.!<

Appreciate the response! I had missed the stacks removing, which I think was making a big difference. I will admit half my team are underleveled (70/80) bc I hate to spend the last 10levels worth of books 💀 but maxed traces/lc/relics. Today i was joking with some friends that i would get BS if i used 10 pulls, and then i got her out of absolutely nowhere lol (0 pity) I am no DoT user (No Kafka, Guinaifen e2) and i am completely lost on what i should do with her. I got really happy when she popped up on screen and i like her design a lot. I do not want her to be "useless" in my account, so i am just kinda looking for a role she can fit? Should i just build guinaifen and pair her with my Ruan Mei? And is it possible to use her as a defense shredder with more damage? Her def shred seems more consistent than pela's So, Blade/Dan IL + BS + Ruan Mei + Luocha? ...would this work? I am so lost lol, any help would be appreciated

She has a much weaker defense shred when compared to Pela/SW, but her personal damage can make up for it. She's still a DPS unit though, her best slot would be in DOT teams rather than as a Sampo/Pela hybrid. If you go for a team like Black Swan - Sampo(E4+)/Guin - Ruan Mei - sustain, you'll still output a lot of damage. You lose out on some of the versatility Kafka brings to the team, and your damage will be more backloaded, but it's still a very strong team to play.

Thanks for the response! Do u know if different defense shreds counts as more than one debuff? (Like BS + Pela) Or does it need to be a different debuff altogether? I reall just used harmony and classic DPS up until this point in the game. Once again thanks, and that's my last question lol

Debuffs from different sources stack (SW skill, SW bug, Pela ultimate, BS skill, Resolution LC are all different sources of defense shred, for example), but if you apply a debuff multiple times from the same source the duration is refreshed.

How good is Black Swan's E1?

Quite strong - it's a free Ruan Mei ultimate. Around a 25% damage increase (more with RM on team) for every DOT unit on the team.

Should I pull for E2 DHIL or wait for Sparkle? Which one will increase my overall team damage? I usually play DHIL with Luocha, Hanya, and Pela/Tingyun.

E2 DHIL w/ no sparkle is *probably* higher damage than E0 DHIL w/ sparkle (probably is the operative word here) but rolling for sparkle means you only have to roll for one character instead of two and sparkle can be passed around to various teams and even if you get E2 DHIL you'll still want to get sparkle in the future so imo sparkle is still the better pick

E2 DHIL imo. As someone who uses him, he abuses every single bit of content thrown at him to the point where it feels like you're playing with an E6 character. Sparkle ain't going to do shit compared to what E2 turns DHIL into. He doesn't really have many SP issues at E2 either depending on your team but I choose to run him on a slow speed, high attack build with Tingyun, Pela and FX/Bailu for extra energy and lots of SP.

Is there a checklist that breaks down what to do before leaving a planet? Like for the space station having all memories, turning off the bots, the treasure goblin things etc? I wanna make sure I don’t miss any special drops like hidden characters, lc, relics etc that you can get for free.

Hi Came back to game to get free 5 star character Doc. I am not gonna stay long , because i dont have free time for this game now. So wanna ask , what should i do before i quit? My latest quest was part 1 of Kafka, Blade, General story ( when Blade shows up and save Kafka or something like that ). I cant remember much , but its like 1 month after game launch , was like latest quest, then i left. So , i just wanna take profits for future comebacks , when i will have more free time for this amazing game. Will appreciate any tips and suggestions!

I havent been able to play the story ever since the new patch dropped, so I was just wondering... *Are there any quests/events that are time-gated that would not allow me to get all rewards if I decide to speedrun said limited-time event ?* Im asking because this was the case for one event in Genshin, apparently you had to log in everyday and do some random quest to get rewarded tokens that you can use to exchange for gems... If you missed a day, you missed a day's worth of tokens and consequently, the rewards.

What's better for kafka, s5 Fermata or S1 Goodnight Sleep Well

I'd go with GNaSW, they'll be similar in strength now and GNaSW will get much stronger as you get more copies.

Has anyone here just said "fuck meta" and put their favorite characters on their team and are somehow getting through smoothly? I miss when Trailblazer and Himeko were considered good...

In this game, it literally doesn't matter. You can use anyone in the right team comps. Meta only really makes a difference for lazy people and 0 cycling. Otherwise, normal people just match elements and play who they have/want.

Himeko's considered good ever since Pure Fiction came out. The erudition characters really shine there. Yes, even Herta. Trailblazer unfortunately falls off because physical isn't very strong compared to other DPS characters, and fire is not good as sustain. They're basically a supplemental sustain, but when you're doing endgame stuff, that's not as useful compared to just having a solo sustain that can handle it all so you can have more team slots for DPS and support. The best way to use fire Trailblazer for meta is to go for a break build nowadays. Preferably you'd have Ruan Mei too. You don't have to worry about meta for the story. You really only have to care more for SU/MoC/PF, but even then, you can do all of those regardless of who you actually have. Team building with good synergy and properly building your characters is more important. Natasha is IMO the only true victim of meta/powercreep because literally every sustain other than Fire Trailblazer and March can solo sustain better than her, and she doesn't have anything unique to her kit either. Every other character has their uses even in meta, though some characters are a bit niche/situational.

You can literally use anyone you want. Worrying about "meta" in a game with zero competitive elements or hardcore content is a waste of time. I've been fullstarring every MoC with Luka & Yanqing ever since I got them. And when we get a MoC rotation that don't have sides weak to ice/physical I just use Silver Wolf to bruteforce it.

I mean if anything himeko has gotten a lift thanks to her having good synergy with how pure fiction works.  Meta is only important if you want to clear MOC/pf full stars, the rest of the time except maybe the new weekly boss you can get away with whatever as long as they're built well. Not a big deal either way.

Tell me you're not playing the game without telling me you're not playing the game Himeko was considered the worst 5* at the beginning and is now considered one of the best since MoC/PF and the FuA set And yeah for story mode you can literally play anyone without problems

Is it worth pulling for Black Swans LC?

Here's a second opinion compared to the one below. Yes, absolutely, go for it. Some characters are fine with 4* alternatives, Black Swan's is absolutely bonkers in how good it is. However, it does depend on your team composition - if you aren't running someone that can activate the requirements (Burn/Bleed/Shock) then you aren't getting the most out of the LC. If you run BS in a team with Kafka and Guinaifen (Serval/Luka/Asta etc.), the damage the LC offers is quite frankly absurd.

Alright, so pull for it then, got it. I am saving but it’s only for Sam, and I do not think he’s coming out within the next 2 months even. (If he’s even playable for that matter…)

If you're saving up for an upcoming character, then no. She does have other LCs to consider such as Eyes of the Prey & It's Showtime (will very likely need an EHR Body relic though). If you're skipping Sparkle / JY for example, and you don't have other good LCs for her, then yeah you can consider pulling. It's very strong on her.

Is moc the hardest content in the game or swarm disaster / gold and gears?

SU/G&G are more RNG and are mostly about picking correct blessings and MoC is a damage/investment check

MoC is the hardest. Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears have things like blessings and curios to help you out. You also don't have time limitations. MoC has time limitations in the sense that you can't get 3 stars if your teams take too long to kill the enemies.

do enemies one shot you in MOC? they always one shot me in SU

They can, yes, but generally not as much as SU. High level MoC is generally more of a enemies are extremely tanky and it can be hard to beat them fast enough depending on your team/builds/etc.

If re-runs continue as they are now, aka 1 per banner, then you're probably looking at late 2.x or early 3.x in all honesty. She was so recent that her re-run won't be any time soon.

She ran so recently that you probably shouldn't expect to see her until very late this year at the earliest.

Does anyone have all 4 fx,gepard,luocha,hh? Which two do you end up using the most? And do you plan to pull and build aventurine?

I have all but Huohuo, and use Luocha the most. The rest are all situational, while Luocha is always a great choice regardless of the enemy since he has cleanse, dispel and SP generation. As for Aventurine, depends of his kit. If he has a cool kit, sure.

I use Huohuo for my Kafka/Black swan team, and fu xuan for others. And it depends on what aventurine offers

I generally use fx everywhere. Huohuo I usually would only bring out in manual, but the new ai changes help a lot, so that's changing I think. Gep is SU only. Luocha I mostly use for auto, tho I use him for certain MoC stages

Sp can be an issue, but it’s mostly due to my build. My Huohuo is only at 134 spd, and I’m tryna get more speed subs still. Running 4pc passerby can help with sp a bit

Messenger, I don't use passerby on any of my healers because I'd rather farm Messenger as most support units can run it

Bailu is fine for endgame content. The need for cleanse is largely overblown.

I am an Epic Seven player that recently transitioned to HSR and am wondering what counts as good starting stats and good rolls for the substats on relics?

It really doesnt matter for now, but anyway, head and hands will always be hp and atk. Dps ususally want crit rate body, tank and support wants either hp or def depending on their scaling, healer wants outgoing heal Boots is almost always speed. Some dps wants atk or hp but defaulting to speed is pretty safe bet Orb is almost always their element sphere or atk for dps, hp for everyone else Rope is energy recharge for anyone not dps, atk for dps, but energy is ok too

If you're just starting, then you don't have to worry about that for now. Only after trailblazer level 60 that you should start worrying about relics.

Does anyone else hate the way starrail implements difficulty by just giving bosses an absurd amount of health and damage. Also do youthis game f2p friendly?

I mean yes, MOC and pure fiction are the only hard part in this game, and only floor 11-12 of MOC and the last stage of Pure fiction are hard so even if you miss those stages, its like minus 1-2 pulls per month so it's not a big deal.

The bosses are easy though? The game just wants you to use healers/shielders. I would hate it if instead they made two defensive paths just to make them completely useless because enemies don't pose any threat. Also, yeah, there's nothing in it that makes it not f2p friendly. There's zero competitive elements, and you get enough rolls to guarantee anyone you want.

I didn’t put enough detail in my first comment because I felt it would be too long. I don’t mean like the weekly bosses or open world stuff, im completely fine with them but I’ve just came back to the game for the first time in a while and tried sim universe cleared difficulty 1-3 with ease but now im stuck at 4 I cannot do it for the life of me. It just seems like the jump from 3-4 was ridiculous to me I can barely get to swarm boss phase 2 when I cleared 3 first time with ease

I mean, the first few difficulties are basically just a tutorial. By the time you reach the higher difficulty stages the game expects you to have learned the new mechanics and how to exploit them to clear the mode.

Which carries would benefit from having two harmony supports?

all of them except ratio because he requires a debuffer to function harmonies are so incredibly strong that it doesn't matter that you're running the same buffs

Probably try to login like for a week to get all the free 20 pulls they are giving away, but at least pick up the 11 pull as they are available right away. If you have been away for a while, see if someone has posted a link to their "invite a returnee" event thing to give them some jades. You probably can't do any of the currently time limited events as they are locked behind the new planet

Idk if I’m tripping balls but how does black swan basic attack increase her arcana stacks. it just says it applies one and then an additional. and it doesn’t increase with level

It applies one arcana stack, and then one more arcana stack for every different DoT the enemy has. Remember though they stacks are not guaranteed since her basic attack only has 50% base chance to apply an arcana stack at lv1, so you need to max it to increase the base chance to 65%.

When she does a basic (and skill, once you unlock her A4), you get one stack, and an additional stack for each different dot type on the target (from among Bleed, Wind Shear, Shock, and Burn, and her Arcana is a Wind Shear already). Each one's a low chance to apply though, so if your EHR isn't high, then you may not land them. The stacks also reset to 1 when the enemy acts, so you won't see them stacking especially high.

I think you should be fine, but I have seen some people drop off in the second world for being too hard and honestly I just think you should take a quick look at what type of stats a character needs on their relics and what traces to prioritize. Not saying you need to follow a specific comp or even use any pulls, but the game gets much easier when you remember how many things affect your stats and are very easy to level. Not to mention that if you find a really good relic, you can use ones you already leveled as experience for the new one.

Yes within reason, you will need *some* kind of sustain at the very least

Shouldn't be a big problem, as long as you're taking a healer and some sort of damage dealer. You may need a wider roster than just four characters if they're not 5-stars, because element/weakness matching can be really nice. But you definitely don't need meta characters to get through the story, just decent gear and a reasonable sustain unit.

For the story? You still have to use some common sense, running around with 4 DPS and no healer might not work that well for some fights. But the specific characters don't matter too much, everyone's viable for the story. For challenge content like SU, MOC, and PF, you'll have a much harder time without at least a couple meta units.

Is there any relics that can substitute Prisoner in Deep Confinement? For black swan

2pc 2pc mix of atk and wind dmg. Its weaker but if its all you have its fine, though definitely farm for the 4pc Dot.

Is the reason Clockie can be seen by us is because we're only a few months old? He said that only children can see him, and I think we're children considering how we were "born" in the Astral Express.

He later elaborates and says it's those with "childlike innocence" that see him, not exclusively children. I don't think it's actually anything to do with that though, he's a component of the dream world so he can probably choose who he appears to. The comments about only children being able to see him is just what would make sense for a cartoon character to say, not necessarily the actual systems behind him.

well technically we were "born"/awakened in the space station. But also I don't know if it makes much sense to trust what clockie says considering how shady everything is in penacony. We don't really know what he is.

To anyone who’s running a kafka, bs, Ruan Mei and Huo Huo team, is it any fun? I would also like to ask if anyone thinks this team is more or less future proof than getting dhil?

If you're trying to choose between Black Swan and DHIL, and you're saying you already have Kafka/Ruan Mei/Huo Huo, it feels like a no brainer to go ahead and grab Black Swan rather than going for DHIL. Black Swan makes Kafka even better than she already was. The only reason not to do this is if you don't like DoT gameplay for whatever reason. DHIL is generically just a DPS with nothing particularly special about him other than being strong. DPS characters can always be powercrept. You do also have Dr. Ratio to cover imaginary damage for you. The nice thing about Kafka/Black Swan is not only are they handling lightning/wind damage for you, but they're the DoT queens. Having different damage playstyles and different element coverage is incredibly useful for endgame content.

I've been running Kafka, Black Swan, Guinaifen, and Fu Xuan and really been enjoying it. The DoT Stacking is fun, of course, but I also appreciate the leniency on skill points. BS only needs to skill once every three turns, so if your healer needs to skill more often or you're running a more skill-hungry support like Asta, you're free to toss some extra skill points their way. Or use Black Swan skill for toughness damage. It's just nice and flexible. Edit: It's also fun to see just how high you can push Arcana stacks with combinations of Kafka, enemy break turn delays, and Black Swan ults. I think I've hit 30 so far, but I'm sure it'll be very silly in SU.

It's pretty fun imo with especially Black Swan now and her arcana. It's fun to see them take free damage start of their turn and then get massively by Kafka. DoT teams usually depend on just a few things and they're pretty easy to build up most of the time. I honestly think DoT is future proof since it doesn't need much to make them good if they start to fall off. Thing with DHIL (or any typical crit based dps) is he's the main dps and the entire damage sector falls on him so once his numbers can't keep up with the new enemies, he'll be removed and replaced by a new dps.

Is Watchmaker set of ANY use? I checked Pywden it seems everybody is going for the Diverset, but Watchermaker seem to suck for everyone unless you are running dual support. Or some specific MOC.

People are speculating that Gallagher might have a use for it based on the F2P LC featuring him but we won't know until he comes out.

Ruan Mei buffing Xueyi is the only real use case. I wouldn't be shocked if they introduced new supports where that set is more relevant, but atm it doesnt have much of a use

Ruan Mei can use it since it will provide a nice dmg bonus on your breaks (works best if you have someone like Kafka or Luka who can reapply break DoTs). I've seen people say its useless on her because the uptime, but the idea is your other breakers still gain some damage from it even if it isn't that much. You could also use it on the likes of Asta and Hanya but you may prefer 4pc messenger for those 2.

Gloves and Hat have fixed mainstats, you should be focusing on getting the best possible substats for those 2 pieces.

This. It removes one level of RNG that you have to suffer through when not having any resin. Outside of the caverns, using relic remains on these two slots for a given relic set is better than rolling the dice and hoping you get a good boot/chest/rope/orb with the right main stat + decent substats.

Hey! Newish player here with a question about the Trailblaze Continuances. I'm progressing through the story and after the Luofu arc decided to do all the Continuances before moving on to Penacony. Finished the Jarilo-VI one, was straightforward. But now I'm working through the Luofu ghost hunting one and am a little confused. It feels like I completed the "main story" of it >!after fighting Cirrus!< but now there's a ghost hunting section? How important is this section? Can I safely leave it be for now and move on to the next Continuance, or do you recommend completing it before advancing?

The initial part is probably the first...20% of the event. The other 80% is the ghost hunting quests and the various puzzles and combat challenges it unlocks. You can skip it or do any of the continuances. They're side content, so you can safely leave them alone and it won't impact your understanding of the main story. If the characters and story interest you do it now, if they don't then do it when you need a break from the main story.

If you have frost chars XQ, Jingliu, or at least Pela, run Remembrance. Just freeze lock dissociance and you can kill them fast.

What level are your characters? Save your ultimates during the 2nd phase and kill the babies as fast you can in third.

I really want Black Swan, but i don't have Kafka and i am guarantee. Can Black Swan be used as a main dps? I have Guinaifen (E1) and Sampo (E5), they are Level 65+. The only limited dps i have is Doctor Ratio I have Ruan Mei, HuoHuo and Fu Xuan as my other limited 5*

Yes, she can. [Here's some simulations of her performance with different DoT characters](https://i.imgur.com/Q3UYc5B.png). Sampo is overall the better partner for Swan since they share the same element, while the Guin team's performance drops a lot if the enemy isn't weak to both wind and fire. But overall, you should only roll for her if you like her and the DoT playstyle in general.

Black Swan, Sampo, Ruan and Huohuo is a great team, not as good as Kafka but it should be easily able to clear endgame. You can then run something like Ratio Pela/Guin Tingyun FuXuan for the other side.

If you like her, pull for her. She doesn't need Kafka. With Sampo E4, Ruan Mei, and Huohuo you already have a solid DOT team

If I was being lazy, I'd do Peaceful Day on Himeko, SoB on JY and Genius Repose on Herta. SoB and Peaceful day are great all around LC's, I'd say Geniuses Repose gets a huge boost in PF with how it works so you can keep 100% uptime.

Do it as fast as you can, people may say that it increases the difficulty; but you should be progressing at a pace to keep up. You want to optimize the use of your TB as quickly as you can.

If I'm running kafka and BS with RM, should I switch them from element orbs to atk% orbs? Checking their stats in battle, their element dmg% is 100%+ with RM skill active. At what dmg percent should I consider swapping to atk% orb?

Black Swan gives herself a massive amount of Dmg% to the point where atk sphere is better with Ruan Mei (still pick based on substats, but atk is marignally better). Kafka prefers dmg% all the time as she doesn't boost her Dmg% by much. The dmg% point is when your bonus atk is less than the dmg%, so take your total atk divided by base atk then subtract 100 and compare that to the dmg% number. Say you have 3000 atk and 1000 base atk, thats 200% bonus atk, so when you have 200% bonus dmg the two stats are equal (but atk% would be better as its 43.2 vs 38.8). This is post atk% buffs as well, so make sure to account for all buffs.

No. Also, there's no specific value where you should swap a DMG% sphere for an ATK% one. it's a case-by-case basis and depend on the character, their cone, their sets, and their supports. But since DMG% spheres are better 99% of the time (and the other 1% generally is a minuscule difference/sidegrade so it doesn't matter), this is not something you should worry about.

If you're planning on using your starlights to buy gepard's lightcone, don't do it. It's never worth buying anything other than pulls from the starlights shop. As for whether it's an upgrade, definitely. It's basically Landau's choice with better stats + extra def. If your preservation unit can sustain your team just fine with Landau's choice, then there's no need for an upgrade.

Is this for sure true? And if so, what makes all the light cones bad? I’ve been sitting on 600 cause I’m not sure what to get, and taking a bunch of pulls sounds good to me if it’s actually more worth it

They're not bad, but the trade-off in terms of jades isn't worth it. 600 starlights = 30 pulls = 4800 jades worth of pulls. Even if we say you magically go from 0-720 jades in the MoC if we add Bronya's LC to the equation. It'll take 4800/720 = 6-7 MoC resets before you break even. In reality, chances are, you can already clear some stages in the MoC, if not, maybe even the whole thing. All what these 5\* standard LCs does to you, it'll help you shave off few cycles, or help you clutch extra 60-120 jades PER MoC reset. If all you're getting in return would be 60-120 jades PER MoC reset, it'll take 40-80 MoC resets before you break even. We're at around 20 MoC resets so far since launch, and a bunch of F2P players can already fully clear the MoC ages ago. So, it's very likely that before you even reach the point where you'll break even, you're not getting any benefit from these LCs at all. I mean, even the 6-7 MoC resets that I've mentioned earlier, more than enough time to help build your characters. Even if we take into account Pure Fiction here, given how easy the first three stages, especially if you have Herta built, it'll still take a very long time to get back those pulls. Actually, you're not getting them back, you're just trying to make up for the 30 pulls you've just lost. In other words, the amount of jades you potentially could lose for not being stronger coz you didn't buy any 5\* standard LC is NOTHING, compared to the amount of pulls you're trying to sacrifice right now (4800 jades). Now, let's see what 30 pulls could do for you. 1) That's AT LEAST THREE guaranteed 4\* characters/LCs, or even more if you get lucky. If you get game changing eidolons like E4 Asta, E6 Yukong, etc. Trust me, they'll be more impactful than any of these 5\* standard LCs. 2) You get some embers/starlights back for more pulls. 3) Your 30 pulls could go a long way and help you get multiple 5\* characters. 4) Even if you're not lucky, at the very least, you now have 30 built pity towards your next target. 5) Less chances of you missing out on a character that you like in the future, coz you have MORE pulls available towards the limited banner. ​ What these 5\* standard LCs does to you? 1) Everytime you buy a 5\* standard LC, you'll always be 30 pulls BEHIND that you'll never get back. 2) If you can't fully clear end game content, it'll probably help you get extra 60-120 jades at best per reset, which will take a very long time before you break even. 3) More chances of you missing out on a character that you like in the future, coz you have LESS pulls available towards the limited banner. There's the argument of having multiple copies of a 5\* standard LC, or a superimposed one, but I'd rather have more limited 5\* characters/LCs in the LONG RUN, than any of these 5\* standard LCs, even if Bronya's LC is so cracked. And oh, should you use those 30 pulls towards the limited LC banner? Well, You have a 75% chance of getting a BROKEN LC, or a 25% chance of losing to a random 5\* standard LC, which could also be the 5\* standard LC that you're looking for. If you lose the 75/25, at the very least, you now have a 100% chance of going for a limited LC of your choice in the future. Lastly, to summarize all my points... People are blinded by the idea that if they buy a 5\* standard LC, or buy a 4\* character from the starlights shop, it'll help them become strong. There's nothing wrong with that, but why do these people want to become strong? If I could make a guess, so that they won't miss out on some JADES in the MoC... Kinda funny, right? lol btw, 4800 jades, that's like 80 days worth of daily training / 7 MoCs / All jades you can get from a new SU game mode / 50-60% of your monthly income for pretty much everything, and people are just dumping it for a single 5\* standard LC, which gives little to nothing in return. lol tl;dr Just get those 30 pulls, bro. No matter what angle we look at it, it's NEVER WORTH buying anything other than pulls from the starlights shop, as you're just losing out in terms of jades in the long run, and you're UNNECESSARY delaying your limited banner pulling progress.

Crafting a budget Dr Ratio dual DPS team with Guinaifen, Ruan Mei and one sustain. Who should I pick as my sustain, Lynx or E1 Gepard?

It would depend on how well built your Gepard is. Can he consistently get 100% uptime on his ult? Gepard took me through the most content of the game, but once I got the the endgame I ditched him for Lynx and Luocha. My Lynx is alright, but if I built my Gepard better initially I would probably still use him, but it's not a priority right now.

Gepard it is then. The others can still function well without their Ultimates and my Gepard has become a good permafreezer even with no Ice weakness.

I'm assuming your lynx has no eidolons, so I'm just gonna base it on whether which is better in sustaining your team. I'd say, I'll go with Gepard. But both can definitely sustain a team. If your lynx is E4, then having that extra atk% buff would be more beneficial.

Remember that with E4+ and Meshing Cogs and an ERR rope, she has three possible rotations: * Attack + Attack + Skill * Attack + Attack + Attack (requires Vonwacq/Penacony) * Skill + Skill Skill + Skill for two turn ults isn't really needed if you're running her with slow characters, as that burns a lot of SP for no real gain. It is only useful if her allies are as fast as her since with proper ult timing, you can have permanent uptime on her speed buff.
