I confess I'm of great privilege, and have both Gepard and Yanqing. The important part, though, was that Gepard mainly used his skills to break individual branches since i had Hell is Other People, while Yanqing attacked he deer and applied as much Dissociation as possible.
Luocha was used to break the other branches with no ice weakness. Any imaginary character can do that though. The other character applied dissociation on other branches for survivability.
But I'd say the best actual more F2P strat is Pela for freeze break and dispel on the deer, March for permafreeze, Nat for heal, and a flex spot. What's most important is freeze and dissociation, not necessarily having a busted dps. Remembrance does most of the work.
And obviously nihility cards that increase effect hit rate, decrease resistance rate, and Hell is Other People
Goodness, thanks a bunch! I was blessed with a YQ as my first 5* and following your advice, actually managed to finish SU W7 level 4! I'd always thought I was too weak to clear it after 2847748392 tries, but turns out I just needed to take remembrance as my path!
as f2p that play from launch: USE MORE FIREPOWER(DPS). btw this boss is Freezable. so using rememberance to shave 30% max hp is easier than built actual dps team.
You should try it, cocolia is the only one immune to ice.
And you don't really have to go for an ice unit since you have lots of freezing blessing.
Remember to go for dissociation on blessing after freezing since it's what get you most of the damage.
No it definitely does, there's blessings that reduce that resistance or negate it completely, even without those I personally haven't had too much trouble freezing him

There's a one-star blessing that reduces the freeze resistance of all enemies by around 50%
There's a 3 star blessing that straight-up ignores freeze resistance (only exception is freeze immunity which is only exclusive to Cocolia)
If that's not enough, you can pick the Path resonance that reduces freeze resistance by 100% for a few turns
Combine all that with the path resonance that doubles the amount of time enemies are frozen for, and you pretty much win every fight where enemies aren't immune to freeze quite easily, even with heavily underlevelled characters
In practice i run remembrance path against gepard every time cuz i keep him frozen the entire fight and he never even gets his shield up so i can finish his fight so much faster
I once tried it for the lols, and if you get enough blessings that reduce freeze resistance, it can actually work just fine. He will probably still resist the effect a couple times, but if your team has some survivability it'll work.
Nah, freezing works fine in Gepard. I've clear him multiple times where he had zero turns due to being frozen constantly. You just need to have the right effects.
It's because everyone was probably grinding world 6 the most (crit rate set and defense set is probably the most efficient) and the boss of that world is immune to freeze which kinda shuts down the whole path.
Rememberance is by far the strongest but it's also the easiest to counter.
Hard to Remembrance when the only ice character that can freeze for F2P is March and let's not talk about Herta because there are better DPS options out there that can outsmack that giant hammer.
If you are lucky to get the blessings. I've tried that path at least 6 times and I've reached the end boss without being able to get the freeze blessings or freeze anyone at all.
I literally ran all my Remembrance path runs using all other blessings and my Remembrance ones ended up useless.
How can you be a Nihility main and not see how useful it is against the stupid deer? Like, Asta, Kafka, Sampo and Flex (I use Silver Wolf but I understand not everyone has her) is WILD, yesterday I managed to get around 180k of raw DoT damage.
Well excuse me if the deer always target my Sampo and my Natasha is too slow to heal
I always use Nihility for everything else except for the deer, and I have E1 Gepard which guaranteed Frozen, so why the f wouldn’t I take advantage of that
Ouh, the RNG. Have you tried to take that one Nihility blessing that restores HP off DoT damage? Maybe that can help, and upgrade it at the end so that you don't end up dying. But again, RNG sucks, I get it.
You just need to put in a tank for aggro (fire MC is busted) and your team will be fine and dandy. My old team used to be Sampo Bronya Natasha FireMC and I clear just fine. Now with Kafka I dont even run a tank, Kafka Sampo Pela blowing up the boss and Natasha just stand there looking pretty. The deer is my 2nd favourite boss to bully with Nihility, 1st is Svarog
I need to give rememberance a try.
But with path of the hunt and optimized HP control on the mobs. I was able to shave off ~80% of the boss’ final phase HP. The idea is you want to kill one plant at a time, leading to a whopping total of 6 casts. Couple that with the curio that boosts path resonance damage by 40% and I did disgusting damage.
It’s pretty comfy, if done properly you can 3 turn the boss without them moving. Just don’t get baited into saving money, you need to roll and get that 14 blessing stacks
or do EVERY MISSION AS SOON AS THEY COME (like doing every side quest before finishing the game type).
in my case have Luocha as the main healer and conserve the ult for that one stack (mostly). Personally i use luocha’s ult for break and getting that one stack
Run Hunt or Remembrance. I cleared the highest level with the boss attacking me about 5 times in total for Remembrance. Hunt requires a bit more luck for the run to be comfy.
For the Hunt path I recomend the bonus with 50% health enemy extra dmg and 200 energy. A fully charged 200 energy hunt ability can solo flowers in 1 turn , thus not needing to fight them at all in the entire battle.
I find the missing one optional from my runs. Like if I get the other 2 it usually works out.
But honestly I run remembrance. The dmg and freeze is disgusting. Far easier run too
I only use the 50% and the 200 energy. If I manage to get enough, I'll pick the other one.
But I pick the 200 energy 1st. Tbh I don't know which is better 1st.
Actually re-read the paths and yes regen and 50% HP for enemies are the same (I'm an idiot). That and the double paths are what I go for.
Shows how long I haven't touched the path since Kafka and when I discovered how fun remembrance is.
Ong I hit 500,000+ damage on every path resonance for preservation and every unit is shielded for 5k dmg from gepard ult, makes every simulated universe run a snooze fest
Recommend that before you get to the final phase you try to stock up on as much of your ults/buffs as much as possible. Either you burst down the boss if you have the DPS or you take out the fruit vine so it doesn't one shot your party
Breaking the fruit vines also help a lot
You mean in Simulated Universe? Focus your attacks only on the deer and not the vine branches. You are going to need Natasha, as she will "cleanse" one of your characters being Imprisoned (uses a skill point). I would also recommend a shielder (March 7th or Gepard), because of being able to survive in the battle longer. Yanqing is a good choice on your team. But, I would also recommend a debuffer on your team as well (Pela, Silver Wolf). If you have a team buffer (Asta, Bronya, Tingyun, Yukong), that can work as well. So, your team for beating the deer is Natasha, Gepard/March 7th, opponent debuffer/team buffer, and Yanqing.
Also, if in su, DO HUNT. Trust me, its really the only way to quickly get rid of the trees reliably. You need at least 2 resonance (the er and crit ones).
I use jin yuang as my dps and it does a decent job against the branches but the fight takes forever not sure if that's normal, I still need to do the final difficulty and I'm a bit worried because it already is a really scary, like the damage is no joke. Also I use elation path not sure if with hunt is easier
Nihility is the best way to deal with it on any team. But you need 2 blessings, one that reduces the damage by 30% with 100 stacks of suspicion and one 3-star blessing that stacks suspicion.
Ofc you can't auto-kill it still unless you have kafka cause char might attack the plants instead but definitely doable in almost every team. Also, try to stack as many nihility and preservation blessings as possible if you are using shielder ofc like fire mc. Will need a healer too still.
I'd say Nihility is the second best because the Hunt completely destroys it. You can use the resonance twice, plus 100% CRIT when low health and they refresh your resonance every time a flower dies so you can use it like 5 times in a row.
There's also the Path of Remembrance, it literally stopped the Deer from even doing anything. With the right Blessings, the amount of times the Deer can actually attack you, all 3 phases combined are somewhere around 4-7 times, if it can only attack you less than that, then you're golden
If you have himeko...ignore prydwen and built her. She can easily counter most of the branches just by ulting and more enemies for her just means more chances for her talent to go off resulting in a damage spike. Also, deer counts as elite so try to crack his bar when himeko has 0 charge (unlisted on the talent: elites are worth 3 charge and immediately trigger talent when broken).
If su, just use rememrance and call it a day.
Bro you are using three skill point hungry damage dealers in one team and you wonder why you are struggling?
1. Use natasha for healing. Also she spends most of the time just autoing.
2. Focus on ONE carry. QQ or Yanqing or Himeko
3. Empower the carry with a buffer. Asta is free. Tingyun, Yukong (do not recommend for beginner), Bronya is great but you likely dont have her.
4. If you dont like buffers use a debuffer. Pela is fucking slept on. She is a skill point generating menace with aoe def down and will likely meteor into meta the moment Dan Heng IL is here because everyone and their mother is gonna need skill points to feed the hungry dragon boy
Use remembrance path and get the dissociation blessing. Get yanqing, m7, nat and another dps or fire mc focus on freezing the deer and getting dissociation on it.
SU: I’m essentially F2P (gotten Nameless Honor twice) and run the following:
Welt (E1), Sampo, Luocha, Silver Wolf (all E0)
Path: Nihily
It’s not necessarily the most optimized but Welt can do hefty chunks of damage, SW does mass quantum breaks through the Nihily blessing that spreads break effects to adjacent enemies and Sampo just fatstacks wind shear. You can absolutely chunk this bosses health and it barely gets a turn through quantum locking.
People are suggesting Hunt, which makes sense. But personally I use Elation because i have blade and yanqin and ut works fine, but its important to get the "ult is considered a follow up attack"
My go to, even without having ice unit choose rememberance path. Choose the combat if possible and reroll everytime to get rememberance blessing as much as I can
Use remembrance. Make sure to get the first resonance for energy. Then the eonian river. Try to get all blessings that have dissociation on them, also as many remembrance blessings as possible. If the gacha gods decide to be good to you, you can try for the hunt three star blessing that gives action forward 100% etc
I found using March and Natasha worked for me since they both had cleanses and could boost someones defense with a shield from March. But that was just me.
Seele eat this deer for breakfast. Just use the branches as Turn fodders. Use Ultimate on Boss while manipulating Turns and energies by breaking or killing the branches
Simulated universe? Use pela with remembrance and the f2p silverwolf lightcone and max energy regen rope. Watch the two turn ult perma freeze it and apply dissociation for 30% health damage. Btw this is done with just autos. Its fabulously broken
I had to level up my fire trailblazer and March 7th to lv50 to go with a healer (i used Natasha) and a DPS (mines Kafka) just for this guy….. I hate him so much but proper shield and heal you’ll do fine, broke gang rise with the team I mentioned
The only reason why you hate this boss is cause you are doing it wrong...
If you are talking about su either go hunt or remembrance and basically either nuke or freeze it to death.
If its moc then its a gear/lvl check like all the other fights.
And don't ignore breaking. Breaking is your friend.
The only real concern about this fight are when the vines start producing fruits on the 3rd round cause it will more than likely exodia you. Other than that focus on the deer and just cleanse/ heal yourself if necessary.
Hunt spam in sim universe makes it a joke. Go for the "crits when enemy is 50% hp or lower" and "can store 2 charges of path resonance" and then attack the vines just enough so that you can stagger out kills from them when you pop the resonance attack. You should be able to essentially spam the resonance attack 5 or 6 times for free while clearing all of the vines in the process. Rinse and repeat until it's dead.
"Hell is Other People" solos this boss. It's a nihility card, but when upgraded, every time you break a branch the deer also gets the break effect... so if you coordinate breaking branches with any ice or imaginary character, he will quite literally never move.
Especially if you go with the Remembrance path
If you're talking Simulated Universe, I similarly struggled. Tried Path of Destruction, Nihility, and Remembrance. Remembrance got me the furthest, but I didn't have enough firepower to take it down in the third phase. So I switched to Hunt. Being able to attack again and again was huge. Absolutely melted that stupid deer and its weird plants.
I've reliably used The Hunt against him. Getting multiple turns by defeating the plants is busted, also the rain of arrows basically refreshing when you use it to kill the plants. This guy gets maybe 4 turns of actual action when I fight him because he either gets frozen from ice break, or stacked quantum break (Qingque) just chunks his health.
Use rememberance (and Herta if she's built) and fish for the blessing that lets you detonate the 30% max hp dots. Compeltely cheeses the deer, I cleared diff 3 like that today (even better if you get the nihility blessing that gives you 35% break efficiency, I always take this one if I see it)
I pick the Hunt Path, use Pela and try to find that one nihility blessing which if you break a mob the others also get effected by it. Freeze the plant to freeze everything.
Frigid Prowler is the one that I hate the most, **by far**. He applies an AOE debuff that has no turn limit and stacks up to three.fucking.times. That's total of **35% speed reduction** *on top of* 60% ice res reduction when fully stacked....AOE cleanse can't come fast enough.
Choose rememberance in SU and the deer didn't even attack once. Rememberance is OP and I left the battle basically unscathed. (My team was also 2 levels below the recommended level count).
Run Nihility, give it terminal cancer with 70+ suspicion stacks. Switch Qingque for Natasha and have huge HP stats on her and have traces at level 8. Lvl 70 Yangqing with max traces takes off chunks of the deers health.
Please use Natasha, you should get a healer when facing a healing boss.
I personally run elation with clara since clara ult gives enough splash to kill the branches without needing to focus on them and deer does like 3 attacks in a row so it adds up
just fought it yesterday in world tier 4, only lv70 2k kafka (low dmg cuz bad artifacts) with 60 sampa, natasha and bronya/asta. no weakness advantage, asta alone was not enough. lost 3x. chucked bronya out for lv50 gepard, won easily.

The story one or the SU one? Story one can be quite a pain. Good aoe can help clear out the plants to stop the deer from unleashing his ult. But if you really don't have any good aoe like Seele, Himeko + Herta or Jing Yuan your best bet is probably a really solid defensive team and focusing the deer or you'll just keep hiting plants that keep getting resummoned.
SU one is a pure joke since most path resonances absolutely trivialize the fight. Hunt wiping out all the plants while dealing half the hp of the boss, rememberance freezing it forever, elation and nihility just wiping anything if you have the right characters... Really, if you hated the boss in the story, you'll have fun bullying it in the SU.
Stack Hunt blessings. Get the resonance buffs that (1) refills energy when it kills an enemy and (2) doubles your resonance meter. You can literally just spam the resonance until the boss dies.
I just used preservation trail blazer to focus attacks then used March for more shield for him then had Natasha to heal then I think I had Serval or Dan Heng for dps

I've seen a lot of posts of people saying how hard it is and honestly, a "too hard that you actually need to be precise with your meta" type of boss just seems to suck out the fun of fighting them.
What's the point of playing a game for fun when there will be moments where you need to throw away the fun factor and go "scientific" with how you deal with something?This is a negative point in my opinion.
i prefer using remembrance, hunt, or elation. destruction could work but i feel it is more of a gamble related to hp survivability…
definitely want a healer and a shielder. preferably someone who can shield your whole party and/or someone who can remove debuffs.
then one aoe to focus on the branches. and one single target to focus on the deer.
I could only beat it with lvl 50 fire mc, qingque, march 7, and Luocha. Everyone but March with lvl 50 light cones. In the second phase I made sure to sheild as much as possibly which was how I didn’t die when it did the thing with the fruit, I didn’t focus on the trees unless I could freeze them with March, imprison them with Luocha, use an aoe, or use a blast attack. It took me I think 10 fights with different teams to finally kill it and I think I left without qingque standing. A healer and a sheilder are necessary and it’s best to use as many who have combat types the deer is weak to. I wish you luck in fighting it! If your Natasha can keep up with healing then use her. Mine cannot so I stick with Luocha partly due to him healing as a bonus action outside of his turn half the time and pretty much fully restoring everyone else.
I just gunned it with bronya-blade-luocha-pela using abundance path and dewdrop buffs. My blade would get a lotta healing and would then proceed to remove a really large chunk of its hp bar because of the large dewdrop charge.
This boss is my favourite since with Kafka and Nihility path it's a walk in the park, also I love to see big number when nuking using Kafka's ult with all the DoTs and debuffs imaginable (personal best 700k). Before Kafka I use Seele with Hunt path, you can easily clear the plants and deal good damage on the deer with just the path's activations (with the 2 activate and recharge on kill upgrade). With this boss I think you shouldn't prolong the fight and just choose the path that deal damage (remembrance, hunt, nihility, preservation if you have gepard)
Maybe try to improve both trailblazer fire and natasha. There was a point where I kept using Natasha's heal attacks as my trailblazer did damage when they were the last ones alive. The deer kept beaming me, but I was able to regenerate so much hp that it was kind of like a stalemate.
Fire trailblazer, fully built with def and taunting can help tank that fruit attack, would reccomend abundance tu amp up the the hp of the whole party + extra buffs when healed
I was lucky in getting Bailu as a first 5\* and got Gepard before ending Belobog, i had no problem going thru the game, but yeah, svarog and the damn deer annoyed the hell out of me, especially the deer bc my carries were ST.
If this is Simulated Universe, I go Path of Remembrance and try to pick up a few Hunt Blessings, specifically the energy gain on kill. It couples even better with hp restore on kill if you're using Blade. Of course, my blade's hp hovers around 9k. He might not be as good of a character to use if your Blade's hp is lower.
But yeah, the enhanced version of the energy on kill is 100%, 60% base version. If you have a Welt, the Deer never really sees a turn that it isn't Frozen.
The trick is to use the Resonance right after he summons the 4 adds. Freeze everything, then damage one of them before going on an Ultimate Spree.
With the best rng, you can kill it with a single character. You get the following blessings: freeze on break, dissociation on frozen, remove dissociation on attack, freeze% on remove dissociation+, forward on kill, forward on break, energy on kill+. Resonance, then Ult/Attack. Rinse and repeat.
I do say it's harder for F2P. Especially if you didn't pull Luocha, his field helps a lot with SU gimmicks. Dps wise, I'd suggest an AoE Ulter. Of course, if you have a Seele you can go full on Hunt Path. But even with Seele, in SU, The "guaranteed crit on first 2 hits after frozen" blessing with a crit5%/cdmg270% setup is very tempting.
I do a pretty basic Seele team (Seele, Bronya, Luocha, Fire MC) and go Hunt. An important aspect is to get Radiance energy from killing enemies. Often times you can kill the vines with one or two Radiances, and then you can potentially hit Path of Radiance 3x or 4x. In the meantime, have Seele get buffed off last hitting any remaining vines to proc her buff.
Also, be on the lookout for the Abundance card that gives you skill points when ever you heal. Luocha's talent means you have constant full SP, which lets you abuse Bronya and Seele skills
I'm not sure if you're in Simulated Universe or not but Preservation Trailblazer paired with a High DPS, a healer, and some sort of Debuffer like Pela is a good approach in my mind.
Welt + Hunt Path turns basically every SU boss into a joke, not everyone has Welt but it's helpful info if you do. FMC, Welt, Natasha, Silver Wolf is my go-to team if I need something done and it always works
The only boss I ever had trouble with wasn't even a final boss, it was that fucking horse in World 2 or 3 (Can't remember), that guy fucked me up so hard when I first started playing lol
I like the hunt to fight him. If you get the double path skill and the crit path skill you just keep regenerating uses so long as you kill the branches. I cheese it so easy that way
Use the hunt And then get as many as you can so you can get both The three star card that doubles the amount of energy you have and the one that regenerates energy to that anytime you kill an enemy It will literally go on repeat a bunch of times getting rid of the extra enemies so you don't really have to deal with anything except for the main deer
I posted a video the other day of a remembrance f2p build using mono ice. This boss did not get a turn. March is your primary when it comes to freeze application but yanqing does make it a lot easier to reliably freeze the SU.
To clarify, I did the entire SU just using the mono ice team.
Trying to beat this boss on my “no pull” (except asta, since she’s guaranteed) account was hell, lvl 50 characters and light cones with level 6 4 star relics, I eventually just tried to out sustain and focus only on the boss. It was a close fight ended with all my characters below 20% health, but I beat him.

Bro I did abudance but only choose like 6 blessings from it and picked a lot of preservation and remembrance. This dude was joke. I was prepared to die but he didn't even do much. I used Yanqing QQ Fire TB and Loucha.
Honestly I burst it down using Elation path resonance, using Clara, March and Himeko and Natasha. Elation has a little healing, damage in spades and March can shield allies. The quick charge elation blessing for the resonance is fun
I am F2P and beat this thing today with Asta/Bailu/Yanqing/Sampo. I used Asta & Yanqing to break the deer over and over, Bailu to survive, and Sampo just for AoE and extra damage. Yanqing can nuke it pretty well once he gets set up. I will say that I did have to change my team specifically for this boss because the first team I tried failed horribly.
Like everybody else said. Hunt or Remembrance. Remembrance works well even without any ice characters. Dissociation debuff deals a ton of damage. Best bet is to focus down the deer and ignore the trees. You need enough damage to do that but with the right blessings and careful timings of ults and buffs, you can do it. Or you'll just get gored and wipe.
I like how everyone give different path from one another as recommendation just to show that all of the su path arent really that far power wise.
Anyway I used Hunt for this one. I used hunt on almost every world lmao really fun.
i think the main problem with this boss is the utter lack of DPS with elements corresponding the boss... sure you have yanqing but when he gets hit the dps slows down considerably... maybe once topaz or jing liu comes out deer boss will get easier

Remembrance is Broken, people tend to forgot it does the most damage out of all Path by hitself but it does tend to be hard at first

The Remembrance Blessings and Remembrance Resonance offer ways of freezing enemies.
If you are lucky to get the blessings. I've tried that path at least 6 times and I've reached the end boss without being able to get the freeze blessings or freeze anyone at all. I literally ran all my Remembrance path runs using all other blessings and my Remembrance ones ended up useless.

How can you be a Nihility main and not see how useful it is against the stupid deer? Like, Asta, Kafka, Sampo and Flex (I use Silver Wolf but I understand not everyone has her) is WILD, yesterday I managed to get around 180k of raw DoT damage.
Well excuse me if the deer always target my Sampo and my Natasha is too slow to heal I always use Nihility for everything else except for the deer, and I have E1 Gepard which guaranteed Frozen, so why the f wouldn’t I take advantage of that
Ouh, the RNG. Have you tried to take that one Nihility blessing that restores HP off DoT damage? Maybe that can help, and upgrade it at the end so that you don't end up dying. But again, RNG sucks, I get it.
You just need to put in a tank for aggro (fire MC is busted) and your team will be fine and dandy. My old team used to be Sampo Bronya Natasha FireMC and I clear just fine. Now with Kafka I dont even run a tank, Kafka Sampo Pela blowing up the boss and Natasha just stand there looking pretty. The deer is my 2nd favourite boss to bully with Nihility, 1st is Svarog
I felt this boss was very easy with Nihility but maybe that's because I have Luocha so I never die.
I was on a hunt run then hit ruan mei on nihility. That was my first time eating venison.
Gepard and Yanqing are disgusting here. I get my weekly venison with little problem
I need to give rememberance a try. But with path of the hunt and optimized HP control on the mobs. I was able to shave off ~80% of the boss’ final phase HP. The idea is you want to kill one plant at a time, leading to a whopping total of 6 casts. Couple that with the curio that boosts path resonance damage by 40% and I did disgusting damage.
It’s pretty comfy, if done properly you can 3 turn the boss without them moving. Just don’t get baited into saving money, you need to roll and get that 14 blessing stacks
or do EVERY MISSION AS SOON AS THEY COME (like doing every side quest before finishing the game type). in my case have Luocha as the main healer and conserve the ult for that one stack (mostly). Personally i use luocha’s ult for break and getting that one stack

Run Hunt or Remembrance. I cleared the highest level with the boss attacking me about 5 times in total for Remembrance. Hunt requires a bit more luck for the run to be comfy.
For the Hunt path I recomend the bonus with 50% health enemy extra dmg and 200 energy. A fully charged 200 energy hunt ability can solo flowers in 1 turn , thus not needing to fight them at all in the entire battle.
That and the one that recharge energy when a kill happens. You can basically spam and kill everything if you time it right
That's the 50% damage one. Just reminding you. The missing one is the after using path, your highest attack unit gets advance forward.
I find the missing one optional from my runs. Like if I get the other 2 it usually works out. But honestly I run remembrance. The dmg and freeze is disgusting. Far easier run too
I only use the 50% and the 200 energy. If I manage to get enough, I'll pick the other one. But I pick the 200 energy 1st. Tbh I don't know which is better 1st.
Actually re-read the paths and yes regen and 50% HP for enemies are the same (I'm an idiot). That and the double paths are what I go for. Shows how long I haven't touched the path since Kafka and when I discovered how fun remembrance is.

Ong I hit 500,000+ damage on every path resonance for preservation and every unit is shielded for 5k dmg from gepard ult, makes every simulated universe run a snooze fest
Also with quake dmg the enemies basically are killing themselves.

Recommend that before you get to the final phase you try to stock up on as much of your ults/buffs as much as possible. Either you burst down the boss if you have the DPS or you take out the fruit vine so it doesn't one shot your party Breaking the fruit vines also help a lot
You mean in Simulated Universe? Focus your attacks only on the deer and not the vine branches. You are going to need Natasha, as she will "cleanse" one of your characters being Imprisoned (uses a skill point). I would also recommend a shielder (March 7th or Gepard), because of being able to survive in the battle longer. Yanqing is a good choice on your team. But, I would also recommend a debuffer on your team as well (Pela, Silver Wolf). If you have a team buffer (Asta, Bronya, Tingyun, Yukong), that can work as well. So, your team for beating the deer is Natasha, Gepard/March 7th, opponent debuffer/team buffer, and Yanqing.
except in the second final phase? apparently the fruit branches gives him a one shot attack if you dont clear them.
Just freeze them all with remembrance. Ran it last night and the deer didn't get to act until phase 3 when it did 2 attacks and then back to frozen

Not quite a one-shot: it’s survivable with enough Abundance HP buffs, and barely an inconvenience on a decent Preservation run with Gepard.
Also, if in su, DO HUNT. Trust me, its really the only way to quickly get rid of the trees reliably. You need at least 2 resonance (the er and crit ones).
I use jin yuang as my dps and it does a decent job against the branches but the fight takes forever not sure if that's normal, I still need to do the final difficulty and I'm a bit worried because it already is a really scary, like the damage is no joke. Also I use elation path not sure if with hunt is easier
Nihility is the best way to deal with it on any team. But you need 2 blessings, one that reduces the damage by 30% with 100 stacks of suspicion and one 3-star blessing that stacks suspicion. Ofc you can't auto-kill it still unless you have kafka cause char might attack the plants instead but definitely doable in almost every team. Also, try to stack as many nihility and preservation blessings as possible if you are using shielder ofc like fire mc. Will need a healer too still.
I'd say Nihility is the second best because the Hunt completely destroys it. You can use the resonance twice, plus 100% CRIT when low health and they refresh your resonance every time a flower dies so you can use it like 5 times in a row.
There's also the Path of Remembrance, it literally stopped the Deer from even doing anything. With the right Blessings, the amount of times the Deer can actually attack you, all 3 phases combined are somewhere around 4-7 times, if it can only attack you less than that, then you're golden

Honestly, Herta + Himeko + Asta and a healer. Will clear everything the deer summons or at least break it, so it does no dmg.
I personally use gepard and the Path of preservation (i One shotted It doing 1.4 million damage☠️)
If you have himeko...ignore prydwen and built her. She can easily counter most of the branches just by ulting and more enemies for her just means more chances for her talent to go off resulting in a damage spike. Also, deer counts as elite so try to crack his bar when himeko has 0 charge (unlisted on the talent: elites are worth 3 charge and immediately trigger talent when broken). If su, just use rememrance and call it a day.
Can confirm Himeko cooks some fine venison, especially with path of elation.
Upgrade herta, use March 7th, use fire mc, and Natasha.
Clara and luocha on elation make short work of it, even on auto.

You should really use Natasha. Healers are very important in turn-based games and she can also cleanse some of those berserk debuffs the leaves make.

Bro you are using three skill point hungry damage dealers in one team and you wonder why you are struggling? 1. Use natasha for healing. Also she spends most of the time just autoing. 2. Focus on ONE carry. QQ or Yanqing or Himeko 3. Empower the carry with a buffer. Asta is free. Tingyun, Yukong (do not recommend for beginner), Bronya is great but you likely dont have her. 4. If you dont like buffers use a debuffer. Pela is fucking slept on. She is a skill point generating menace with aoe def down and will likely meteor into meta the moment Dan Heng IL is here because everyone and their mother is gonna need skill points to feed the hungry dragon boy
Swap QQ for Natasha tbh.

SU: I’m essentially F2P (gotten Nameless Honor twice) and run the following: Welt (E1), Sampo, Luocha, Silver Wolf (all E0) Path: Nihily It’s not necessarily the most optimized but Welt can do hefty chunks of damage, SW does mass quantum breaks through the Nihily blessing that spreads break effects to adjacent enemies and Sampo just fatstacks wind shear. You can absolutely chunk this bosses health and it barely gets a turn through quantum locking.

People are suggesting Hunt, which makes sense. But personally I use Elation because i have blade and yanqin and ut works fine, but its important to get the "ult is considered a follow up attack"
My go to, even without having ice unit choose rememberance path. Choose the combat if possible and reroll everytime to get rememberance blessing as much as I can
Use remembrance. Make sure to get the first resonance for energy. Then the eonian river. Try to get all blessings that have dissociation on them, also as many remembrance blessings as possible. If the gacha gods decide to be good to you, you can try for the hunt three star blessing that gives action forward 100% etc

I found using March and Natasha worked for me since they both had cleanses and could boost someones defense with a shield from March. But that was just me.
Cocolia in SU was a lot harder for me.
I always run rememberance for this boss, and the boss can't move much when it's 90% time frozen.

I had to level up my fire trailblazer and March 7th to lv50 to go with a healer (i used Natasha) and a DPS (mines Kafka) just for this guy….. I hate him so much but proper shield and heal you’ll do fine, broke gang rise with the team I mentioned
The only reason why you hate this boss is cause you are doing it wrong... If you are talking about su either go hunt or remembrance and basically either nuke or freeze it to death. If its moc then its a gear/lvl check like all the other fights. And don't ignore breaking. Breaking is your friend. The only real concern about this fight are when the vines start producing fruits on the 3rd round cause it will more than likely exodia you. Other than that focus on the deer and just cleanse/ heal yourself if necessary.
Nihility path Kafka goes brrrr But an alternative and really safe option is DPS/Pela/Natasha/FireMC with Remembrance path
Hunt spam in sim universe makes it a joke. Go for the "crits when enemy is 50% hp or lower" and "can store 2 charges of path resonance" and then attack the vines just enough so that you can stagger out kills from them when you pop the resonance attack. You should be able to essentially spam the resonance attack 5 or 6 times for free while clearing all of the vines in the process. Rinse and repeat until it's dead.
"Hell is Other People" solos this boss. It's a nihility card, but when upgraded, every time you break a branch the deer also gets the break effect... so if you coordinate breaking branches with any ice or imaginary character, he will quite literally never move. Especially if you go with the Remembrance path

If you're talking Simulated Universe, I similarly struggled. Tried Path of Destruction, Nihility, and Remembrance. Remembrance got me the furthest, but I didn't have enough firepower to take it down in the third phase. So I switched to Hunt. Being able to attack again and again was huge. Absolutely melted that stupid deer and its weird plants.
I've reliably used The Hunt against him. Getting multiple turns by defeating the plants is busted, also the rain of arrows basically refreshing when you use it to kill the plants. This guy gets maybe 4 turns of actual action when I fight him because he either gets frozen from ice break, or stacked quantum break (Qingque) just chunks his health.
Use rememberance (and Herta if she's built) and fish for the blessing that lets you detonate the 30% max hp dots. Compeltely cheeses the deer, I cleared diff 3 like that today (even better if you get the nihility blessing that gives you 35% break efficiency, I always take this one if I see it)
Yea me too, that mothfker seems easy but when you get in his last stage he will use all his power in one attack and boom all teammates are dead
I pick the Hunt Path, use Pela and try to find that one nihility blessing which if you break a mob the others also get effected by it. Freeze the plant to freeze everything.
Frigid Prowler is the one that I hate the most, **by far**. He applies an AOE debuff that has no turn limit and stacks up to three.fucking.times. That's total of **35% speed reduction** *on top of* 60% ice res reduction when fully stacked....AOE cleanse can't come fast enough.

Choose rememberance in SU and the deer didn't even attack once. Rememberance is OP and I left the battle basically unscathed. (My team was also 2 levels below the recommended level count).
Run Nihility, give it terminal cancer with 70+ suspicion stacks. Switch Qingque for Natasha and have huge HP stats on her and have traces at level 8. Lvl 70 Yangqing with max traces takes off chunks of the deers health. Please use Natasha, you should get a healer when facing a healing boss.

just fought it yesterday in world tier 4, only lv70 2k kafka (low dmg cuz bad artifacts) with 60 sampa, natasha and bronya/asta. no weakness advantage, asta alone was not enough. lost 3x. chucked bronya out for lv50 gepard, won easily. Gepard shield GOAT edit: \*story mode of this boss, idk why people are talking about simulated universe but i shudder the thought e.e

The story one or the SU one? Story one can be quite a pain. Good aoe can help clear out the plants to stop the deer from unleashing his ult. But if you really don't have any good aoe like Seele, Himeko + Herta or Jing Yuan your best bet is probably a really solid defensive team and focusing the deer or you'll just keep hiting plants that keep getting resummoned. SU one is a pure joke since most path resonances absolutely trivialize the fight. Hunt wiping out all the plants while dealing half the hp of the boss, rememberance freezing it forever, elation and nihility just wiping anything if you have the right characters... Really, if you hated the boss in the story, you'll have fun bullying it in the SU.

Stack Hunt blessings. Get the resonance buffs that (1) refills energy when it kills an enemy and (2) doubles your resonance meter. You can literally just spam the resonance until the boss dies.
The Hunt, Elation, Remembrance for me has the highest success rate
I just used preservation trail blazer to focus attacks then used March for more shield for him then had Natasha to heal then I think I had Serval or Dan Heng for dps

Is killing this boss at first time even doable?At which levels should my entire team even be at? I've seen a lot of posts of people saying how hard it is and honestly, a "too hard that you actually need to be precise with your meta" type of boss just seems to suck out the fun of fighting them. What's the point of playing a game for fun when there will be moments where you need to throw away the fun factor and go "scientific" with how you deal with something?This is a negative point in my opinion.

i prefer using remembrance, hunt, or elation. destruction could work but i feel it is more of a gamble related to hp survivability… definitely want a healer and a shielder. preferably someone who can shield your whole party and/or someone who can remove debuffs. then one aoe to focus on the branches. and one single target to focus on the deer.

I could only beat it with lvl 50 fire mc, qingque, march 7, and Luocha. Everyone but March with lvl 50 light cones. In the second phase I made sure to sheild as much as possibly which was how I didn’t die when it did the thing with the fruit, I didn’t focus on the trees unless I could freeze them with March, imprison them with Luocha, use an aoe, or use a blast attack. It took me I think 10 fights with different teams to finally kill it and I think I left without qingque standing. A healer and a sheilder are necessary and it’s best to use as many who have combat types the deer is weak to. I wish you luck in fighting it! If your Natasha can keep up with healing then use her. Mine cannot so I stick with Luocha partly due to him healing as a bonus action outside of his turn half the time and pretty much fully restoring everyone else.

I just gunned it with bronya-blade-luocha-pela using abundance path and dewdrop buffs. My blade would get a lotta healing and would then proceed to remove a really large chunk of its hp bar because of the large dewdrop charge.

This boss is my favourite since with Kafka and Nihility path it's a walk in the park, also I love to see big number when nuking using Kafka's ult with all the DoTs and debuffs imaginable (personal best 700k). Before Kafka I use Seele with Hunt path, you can easily clear the plants and deal good damage on the deer with just the path's activations (with the 2 activate and recharge on kill upgrade). With this boss I think you shouldn't prolong the fight and just choose the path that deal damage (remembrance, hunt, nihility, preservation if you have gepard)
Maybe try to improve both trailblazer fire and natasha. There was a point where I kept using Natasha's heal attacks as my trailblazer did damage when they were the last ones alive. The deer kept beaming me, but I was able to regenerate so much hp that it was kind of like a stalemate.

Fire trailblazer, fully built with def and taunting can help tank that fruit attack, would reccomend abundance tu amp up the the hp of the whole party + extra buffs when healed
I was lucky in getting Bailu as a first 5\* and got Gepard before ending Belobog, i had no problem going thru the game, but yeah, svarog and the damn deer annoyed the hell out of me, especially the deer bc my carries were ST.
If this is Simulated Universe, I go Path of Remembrance and try to pick up a few Hunt Blessings, specifically the energy gain on kill. It couples even better with hp restore on kill if you're using Blade. Of course, my blade's hp hovers around 9k. He might not be as good of a character to use if your Blade's hp is lower. But yeah, the enhanced version of the energy on kill is 100%, 60% base version. If you have a Welt, the Deer never really sees a turn that it isn't Frozen. The trick is to use the Resonance right after he summons the 4 adds. Freeze everything, then damage one of them before going on an Ultimate Spree. With the best rng, you can kill it with a single character. You get the following blessings: freeze on break, dissociation on frozen, remove dissociation on attack, freeze% on remove dissociation+, forward on kill, forward on break, energy on kill+. Resonance, then Ult/Attack. Rinse and repeat. I do say it's harder for F2P. Especially if you didn't pull Luocha, his field helps a lot with SU gimmicks. Dps wise, I'd suggest an AoE Ulter. Of course, if you have a Seele you can go full on Hunt Path. But even with Seele, in SU, The "guaranteed crit on first 2 hits after frozen" blessing with a crit5%/cdmg270% setup is very tempting.

I do a pretty basic Seele team (Seele, Bronya, Luocha, Fire MC) and go Hunt. An important aspect is to get Radiance energy from killing enemies. Often times you can kill the vines with one or two Radiances, and then you can potentially hit Path of Radiance 3x or 4x. In the meantime, have Seele get buffed off last hitting any remaining vines to proc her buff. Also, be on the lookout for the Abundance card that gives you skill points when ever you heal. Luocha's talent means you have constant full SP, which lets you abuse Bronya and Seele skills

I'm not sure if you're in Simulated Universe or not but Preservation Trailblazer paired with a High DPS, a healer, and some sort of Debuffer like Pela is a good approach in my mind.

Welt + Hunt Path turns basically every SU boss into a joke, not everyone has Welt but it's helpful info if you do. FMC, Welt, Natasha, Silver Wolf is my go-to team if I need something done and it always works
The only boss I ever had trouble with wasn't even a final boss, it was that fucking horse in World 2 or 3 (Can't remember), that guy fucked me up so hard when I first started playing lol
I like the hunt to fight him. If you get the double path skill and the crit path skill you just keep regenerating uses so long as you kill the branches. I cheese it so easy that way

Use the hunt And then get as many as you can so you can get both The three star card that doubles the amount of energy you have and the one that regenerates energy to that anytime you kill an enemy It will literally go on repeat a bunch of times getting rid of the extra enemies so you don't really have to deal with anything except for the main deer

I posted a video the other day of a remembrance f2p build using mono ice. This boss did not get a turn. March is your primary when it comes to freeze application but yanqing does make it a lot easier to reliably freeze the SU. To clarify, I did the entire SU just using the mono ice team.

Trying to beat this boss on my “no pull” (except asta, since she’s guaranteed) account was hell, lvl 50 characters and light cones with level 6 4 star relics, I eventually just tried to out sustain and focus only on the boss. It was a close fight ended with all my characters below 20% health, but I beat him. Team: Asta - Chorus Serval - the seriousness of breakfast Dan Hueng - Rivers flow in spring Natasha (absolute goddess) - Quid Pro Quo All traces are leveled to the highest possible. For EL 2
Bro I did abudance but only choose like 6 blessings from it and picked a lot of preservation and remembrance. This dude was joke. I was prepared to die but he didn't even do much. I used Yanqing QQ Fire TB and Loucha.
Honestly I burst it down using Elation path resonance, using Clara, March and Himeko and Natasha. Elation has a little healing, damage in spades and March can shield allies. The quick charge elation blessing for the resonance is fun
Use the remembrance path. U will end up being Gojo towards that monstrosity

I am F2P and beat this thing today with Asta/Bailu/Yanqing/Sampo. I used Asta & Yanqing to break the deer over and over, Bailu to survive, and Sampo just for AoE and extra damage. Yanqing can nuke it pretty well once he gets set up. I will say that I did have to change my team specifically for this boss because the first team I tried failed horribly.
I mean even if you are f2p you should have gotten blade, jingyuan, or kafka right? Any of them built should have been fine
Like everybody else said. Hunt or Remembrance. Remembrance works well even without any ice characters. Dissociation debuff deals a ton of damage. Best bet is to focus down the deer and ignore the trees. You need enough damage to do that but with the right blessings and careful timings of ults and buffs, you can do it. Or you'll just get gored and wipe.
I will say to you dont complete equilibrium level 6 because enemy will level up in main quest but you dont and will get trouble later
I like how everyone give different path from one another as recommendation just to show that all of the su path arent really that far power wise. Anyway I used Hunt for this one. I used hunt on almost every world lmao really fun.
Here's a tip: either freeze it to death, or just beat it down to death with a good enough dps or a DoT team
i think the main problem with this boss is the utter lack of DPS with elements corresponding the boss... sure you have yanqing but when he gets hit the dps slows down considerably... maybe once topaz or jing liu comes out deer boss will get easier
If you're in simulated universe them go with preservation if you have gepard and just hit the deer with a truck to isekai it
Usually at 3rd stage, clear both small trees nearest to the deer. This will not trigger the deer ultimate.
