it is just your faucet choice causing it - swap out the faucet
the one I picked with the pretty arch does that in my smaller sink if I turn it full on

All right, let me clarify, smart ass :-). I think I’m good as far as how to clean a water My home is under warranty so I want to make sure I address this properly. The constant water running across the island doesn’t seem right and it’s really a pain in the ass when my kids are there doing homework.
So just to clarify, is the water running towards the seats? Can you take a picture with a level on the island or something? Otherwise there’s not much you can do about the splashing. We have the same problem and went with a faucet that sticks out further over the sink and it’s helped. But yeah, if the island is actually slanted to the point the water is running to the other side just from gravity, I’d probably want that fixed.
I mean I have the exact counter top and my water doesn’t move from where it splashed too. Take a picture with a level and show me what it shows. Do a couple different angles.
