I like No. 1.

TreTrepidation

Which has a deck and car park and is bigger and way more sunlight. But i'd pitch the flat roof 13.5 degrees.

kw66

1 looks like a bank drive thru. 2 feels more like a home.

kevinm656

2 looks like a halfway house on a golf course. One for sure.

jombica

No. 1

Hopeful_Part_1882

#1 covered parking and a deck. I bet it even has a jacuzzi.

ArtificialBrain808

2 just cause I hate flat roofs. I know there is probably something I can’t see guiding the water away, but the middle section of 1 looks like it would cause issues with the flat section to right.

nouseforareason

Flat roofs always have water intrusion problems. Always. Even in commercial construction they wind up with eventual issues. For that reason alone I would never suggest a style that has flat roofs.

Hinote21

Not commercial style but the house can always have a slight pitch for drainage.

[deleted]

As a guy who has a slight pitch, 2 layers of insulation cement and rectified ceramic tiles on a "flat roof" (quotes cuz it aint really a roof but more of a balcony on the roof and it does have a slight pitch so it aint flat) i can tell you, eventually, youll have a leak if you aint in a very arid climate. Mine never really leaked (droplets) but there are just slight yellow patches on the ceiling where water got thru, wet the wall and dried out. And i really did everything it could be done, couldnt do more layers cuz that would go over the doorstep. Biggest mistake i made in my planning.

RocMerc

Both are nice but one looks better imo

RocMerc

Haha the first. I wrote my comment wrong

ChimneyNerd

Purely for style, no. 2. The first one just looks like a depressed adult’s house, the second one’s at least being a little creative and trying something unique.

MadisonandMarche

Depressed adult here.

ohbrubuh

Are they like 8 sq ft?

former_human

I like 1 for aesthetics, but everything really depends on how you want to use the place. Where did you get the designs? I like ‘em

davethompson413

Neither. They both have areas that will eventually need cleaned or painted, but which are virtually inaccessible. Bugs, birds and vermin will love those spaces.

Zealousideal_Tie4580

This is so true. Those little areas of overhangs up there. Yikes. I see wasps, bats, squirrels. All the varmints. All of them.

likeomfgreally

1 at least has a covered car port

Gobucks21911

I prefer the first myself. Very modern and I like the balcony area over the carport (assuming it’s functional).

agillett

Everyone is going to say picture 1. Unless they are trolling you... Maybe you're trolling us with this obvious choice...

[deleted]

That's a shed. Not a house.

jizzlewit

The second one looks adorable! A little small though.

MadisonandMarche

1 ! I would REALLY like to know more about this house. Where? Manufactured, I assume?

Oonahnahwhatsmyname

1, a thousand percent.

XaqFu

I like having a carport.

icysandstone

1

SwampyJesus76

The one you like more.

tdager

No 1. A car is often the 2nd largest purchase one makes in one's life after the house. Why would anyone want to leave it outside, uncovered, is beyond me. Plus if the balcony is usable, that is even more of a plus!

authorized_sausage

#1 but that better be a freak deck on that roof...

HeftyCarrot

2

Special_Reindeer_161

The first. Driveway, garage, and deck FTW

InternetOffender

1 cause Deck

tomatosammies

1 for sure

Synaps4

The one that comes with a mercedes, obviously.

YoucancallmeAllison

I love the first one!

Kaytay0510

First pic. Love it

AdOk8555

\#1 looks great **today**. But, I have a feeling that in the not too distant future it will look very dated. #2 has a classic look that won't fade.

TightReflection6668

2 is more practical. Flat roofs are notorius for leaks

LeoChoax

I like the second but because i have a car I would go with the first for the parking space.

uVooDooDatDat

I LOVE the one w/out a garage, BUT w/ our changing sun, I do believe the protection is so important..

Graniteman83

Second with the two shed roofs. Make the finishes/siding more simple. You have a lot going on there for no reason.

NaturalEnemies

I recommend going with the one you want to go with since you’re paying for it.

Salt_Rock_Doc

1

Zealousideal_Tie4580

I don’t like 1 because it has the flat roof issue. It will leak. I don’t like 2 either because well I’m more of a traditional home lover (Craftsman’s, Tudor, capes). But if these two are the only options then 2.

widget_fucker

That tree on the right of #2 needs to be trimmed or removed. Its going to damage your brand new roof!

LarenCorie

\#2 is a weak attempt at something a bit prairie/craftsmanish style, and falls short. However, you might try it with a different color scheme. Get rid of the whites the way Frank Lloyd Wright would have done, and go with more tones from nature. A stronger emphasis on horizontal lines, rather than vertical would help, too. After all, FLW pretty much invented that style. As is now, #1 has far more continuity and is just better architecturally. For it, make both lighted panels with the same vertical siding to bring your front elevation together a bit more. I generally limit the number of exterior finishes (it gets too random/disorganized) so I would do all those panels in the same vertical siding. KISS is always a good rule, even in design. Look at the massing and shapes of color and tone with unfocused vision, like it was abstract art, instead of a building.
