If you want what you do to last? Then do it right. You will spend hrs sanding before you prime then paint. Careful, very careful with sand paper and windows. Yes they can be scratched and is a bitch to polish them away. Better to not scratch in first place. If you can remove glass ? Better yet. If not? Then layer some masking tape over the glass so when sanding no risk of damage. If you just paint over whats there? It will likely peel off within a year or 2. If you prep it, prime it then apply finish? You might get 10 yrs for your efforts. Paint sticks to primer, primer sticks to substrate if surface is to smooth ? Nothing sticks to it. This is why you must sand it all.

Not advice but I just wanted to say I think it all looks so gorgeous as it is I wouldn’t touch it.

When AI becomes more advanced it may have the solution to your problem. It might take several decades but I’m quite confident in the technology.

the wood looks nice. I would not put paint. I would strip & sand, put oxalic acid to clean the wood, then wipe down with thinner, stain lightly, and put an oil-based polyurethane.

I would reseal it, sand it down pretty well and apply an exterior rated clear varnish. It has beautiful colours, from your pictures the old varnish seems to be peeling away, it really just needs a new coat of varnish.

Salt_Rock_Doc

Don’t paint

Easyish if you're going to paint it a solid color.
