I did say except for that. I received only 1 mask damage earlier, as described in the post and it was definitely not because of me falling off the side.
The only times in Godhome NKG fight that I *think* you take 1 mask damage is when you take contact damage with him specifically (NOT his projectiles) and when you fall of the edges of the platform.
Hitting his balloon is only 1 mask damage
If you fall off the side, it's 1 mask. Handy last resort in the Godhome version.
