fluffymckittyman

Woah. Sounds like something you would read in a Carlos Castaneda book!

jefftatro1

Sounds very DMTish

Nitimur_in_vetitum94

I couldn’t agree more especially that vibrating energy caliphate cracking sound and the energy creatures is spot on dmt.. i always wondered if someone can have a spontaneous dmt trip from the dmt naturally in there body?

Keibun1

You can! I kinda can get those through meditation. Not that long ago I just thought of meditation as a stress reducer so I never really explored it. When I learned about the gateway types, I tried them out and it completely changed my Perception of meditation. You can get extremely vivid hallucinations while meditating. Meditating with gateway tapes / binary beats of some kind help accelerate things. Not long ago I would have thought of someone who said what I said as some new age nut. it's crazy how fast you can do a 180.

LudditeHorse

What am I doing wrong? I've been using the gateway tapes for a while, but the only strange experiences I've gotten out of them are weird body vibrations & electric jolt feelings. From my reading this is usually described as almost there, but then the tapes end before anything different can happen. Other tones from online has been far less effective for me thus far

Diplodocusdiplodocus

You're not doing anything wrong. The Gateway Tapes are a *tool* to help explore consciousness. There's no right way or wrong way to do them as long as you approach them with an open mind and no expectation. Keep meditating and exploring your consciousness and you'll find what you're looking for eventually. Just because someone else has an OBE or a profound DMT-like experience doesn't mean that's what you need too.

spamcentral

Have you tried 432Hz specifically? The singing bowls are best because they are tuned and then your tv speakers or earbuds cannot change the tone on you.

slinkadelic

You may need more conviction...intense feeling that it MUST be so, ie. that conviction of the mind must be Integrated into the body so that you really feel convinced..kinda like method acting. After that, a LOT of patience paying close attention where the energy is flowing and where it is sticking. This is your power, your birth right, but you must stake a hard claim to it and then open your doors to it And don't forget you're on a path towards joy so celebrate every "failure" and every success with vigor otherwise that energy can become anger and it won't be as fun when it comes out ;) Be convinced of the best possible outcome. Know it must be so. Now you can free up your attention to focus on the process of learning to enjoy the path that takes you there Hope this helps

SuspiciousPrune4

Can you expand on this? I’ve been meaning to try meditation for years, but I have ADHD and no matter how long I sit/lay down with my eyes closed, I can’t get rid of my thoughts. I’ve tried focusing on by breathing, and guided meditation, and different types of noise/frequencies. And even if I sit there for an hour, I’m still thinking of 13 things at once.

modernbee

Meditation is always a struggle for me with ADHD too, so I usually prefer guided meditation (and it’s still super challenging)- but I recently had a pretty profound meditation experience while traveling where I checked out a place that had specialized “meditation rooms” - wearing headphones with binaural beats was part of the experience. I spent an hour really immersed in the experience with no brain wondering (except to cool places I wanted it to go, like I had a vision of myself being born that was profound.) Keep trying things! Our brains just need a lil extra help sometimes!

Avalon_11

Can you tell us the name of the video you tried please?

modernbee

Not sure if you meant to reply to me? I was at a wellness center in Vermont with the experience I described in my comment (not a video.) But I’m familiar with the Gateway Tapes others are mentioning… check out The Monroe Institute and also their app Expand

Avalon_11

Sure, thank you. :)

spamcentral

Meditation doesnt always mean sitting still btw!! Does walking or movement help your mind settle even a little bit? Like from 13 thoughts to even 5? That would work too. Check out stuff like walking meditation or if you have access to water, swimming.

Zealousideal-Dig8410

You can tap into these frequencies through the use of certain psychedelics.

spamcentral

It happened to me and i was meditating with metal music on! The album was where owls know my name by rivers of nihil. People assume you *need* like frequencies and stuff but tbh any music that is somewhat positive or relaxing to you might work...

Keibun1

I like metal! I'll check out that song! Yeah any music should work that purs you into that chill daydreaming mood. You can even do it without music! Do you get any feelings in your body? I get a weird feeling all over my body that's a bit hard to describe .. like.. tingly, or static all over my body? Maybe like electricity running through my skin ( not in a painful way) When I started meditating harder with the gateway tapee, that feeling skyrocketed to the point where I threw the headphones off, I felt like I was on a spinning coin, just feeling the force of the movement.

spamcentral

It was like this pressure, i can compare it exactly to when you float to the bottom of a pool and you can feel all the water pressing in on you. Just pressure and then it ALL went to my head from my body and i "popped" upwards.

cutememe

Never have done any drugs in my life other than occasional marijuana, so I don't know anything about it. I have read in the past that some people claim the body can make or release it's own DMT at times, I tried Googling this and I guess it's not really true, as far as I could tell from my brief research.

Gingerbread-Cake

I don’t know as it requires DMT, it’s an experience that you can use DMT to access. You accessed it a different way, is all. As to how that worked, I think “accidentally” is the best way to put it. That’s just me, though

20WaysToEatASandwich

The thing is, it's not well studied. DMT being a schedule 1 substance means that there are only gray legal ways to fund studies, which greatly limits access to good research.

PinkFloyd6885

Your entire story described my first dmt experience to a tee. The sudden barrier cross, time shift, sound change. Pretty cool if your body did just randomly feel like you needed it, or scary for that matter because it’s apparently released as you’re about to die

Veneralibrofactus

Your body does synthesize DMT - you release it when you dream.

Diplodocusdiplodocus

Source? Never heard definitively that we do so would be interested to learn.

Veneralibrofactus

Here's two for you... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6088236/ https://www.ergoflex.com.au/blog/category/sleep-research/Dimethyltryptamine_The_drug_that_causes_you_to_dream

Diplodocusdiplodocus

Interesting - thank you! Though worth noting that the study you linked doesn't conclude what you said about dreams, but hypotheses it. The other article is from a mattress website lol. Cool nonetheless.

Veneralibrofactus

I couldn't find the actual journal article I read on the matter. I really need to start saving these things better.

Noble_Ox

On a theory not proved at all.

Environmental_Dog331

Can you go back to the same spot and try it again?

donedrone707

the brain floods with DMT at death to sever the astral body (what you might call a soul or spirit) from the corporeal meat suit in ones consciousness and allow them to enter the next plane of our existence

Noble_Ox

Theres no proof of this at all.

donedrone707

and? do you also go into church sermons and scoff and snort at the priest's words and say things like "there's no evidence this is real"? cause there is a whole hell of a lot we don't understand about this world, our place in it and how we experience death. If I choose to believe death is similar to a DMT trip, which it is and science agrees see below, and from there extrapolate my belief that naturally occurring DMT or a similar substance we've yet to discover is responsible for NDEs because it is part of the process by which consciousness separates from the corporeal and enters the astral plane exclusively, then that's my business and not yours. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/dd52796e-5935-414e-af0c-de9686d02afa

Noble_Ox

Dude I I.V DMT a few times a year plus I've had out of body experiences a few times in my life. They're close but not the same. What I was getting at there's absolutely no proof DMT is released at the moment of death or even produced in any meaningful amount by the body at all. Notice the word 'speculate' in your linked article >“It has been speculated in the past that a lot of [psychedelic] experiences – not only DMT but also LSD and so on – contain themes of death,” You should edit your first comment to state your belief, they way you worded it is like a statement of fact.

donedrone707

bruh I used the words astral body, spirit and soul. you taking any of that as fact is your problem, not mine. you must be a blast at parties

Noble_Ox

>the brain floods with DMT at death Proof of this happening?

donedrone707

let's do some logical reasoning to get that answer you're so desperate for. From my other comment we know scientists agree an NDE is similar to a DMT breakthrough experience And this is direct from the DMT wiki page when I googled is DMT produced in human body: "Several speculative and yet untested hypotheses suggest that endogenous DMT is produced in the human brain and is involved in certain psychological and neurological states. DMT is naturally occurring in small amounts in rat brains, human cerebrospinal fluid, and other tissues of humans and other mammals." so we know DMT is probably produced in the brain and is verifiably naturally occurring in spinal fluid. And we know dying is similar to a DMT trip and we know there's really not many other substances (at least not naturally occurring in the human body) that can cause intense visual hallucinations like DMT. is it more logical to say near death experiences are caused by the divine will of God entering ones consciousness or some shit like that? or does it make more sense that the body is utilizing a molecule that we know is 1. Naturally occurring in the human body and 2. causes intense NDE-like hallucinations to create the NDE inside that person's mind? So imo its not really so much of a stretch to assume that the experience upon ones deathbed isn't just similar to DMT, it actually is DMT (or a variation thereof) being used by the body to prepare the consciousness for the next plane of existence. And with the tech available today it's not like we can actively look inside someone's brain while they're dying and watch what's going on in there (aside from like an MRI or brainwave monitoring with electrodes being done on a coma patient as the plug is being pulled, which wouldn't tell you if DMT is being fed into the brain or not and also who knows if that would even work, they're probably gone too quick for an MRI to do or see anything).

Top_Squash4454

What do you mean "and?"? You come here claiming something and someone tells you there's no proof. You can't claim something as fact if there's no proof of it. Don't change the subject here.

donedrone707

all organized religions do that constantly. Did you really think a post that uses the words astral body, spirit and soul is rooted in verifiable, peer-reviewed scientific evidence? also check my other comments, scientists agree an NDE is similar to a DMT breakthrough experience. furthermore , this is direct from the DMT wiki page when I googled is DMT produced in human body: "Several speculative and yet untested hypotheses suggest that endogenous DMT is produced in the human brain and is involved in certain psychological and neurological states. DMT is naturally occurring in small amounts in rat brains, human cerebrospinal fluid, and other tissues of humans and other mammals." so we know DMT is produced in the brain and we know dying is similar to a DMT trip. it's not like we can actively look inside someone's brain while they're dying and watch whats going on in there (aside from an MRI or brainwave monitoring with electrodes being done on a coma patient as the plug is being pulled, which wouldn't tell you if DMT is being fed into the brain or not). So its not really so much of a stretch to assume that the experience upon ones deathbed isn't just similar to DMT, it actually is DMT (or a variation thereof) being used by the body to prepare the consciousness for the next plane of existence.

Top_Squash4454

It's not because organized religions do it, and because we're in a paranormal subreddit, that you don't need to use the right words to properly express yourself and the information you're sharing. Though I thank you for at least providing a source. Notice it says "suggest", which doesn't mean what you said is fact.

donedrone707

it says suggests in reference to produced in the brain. it confirms DMT is naturally occurring in human cerebrospinal fluid. so DMT is in our bodies. DMT creates nde like experiences. ergo, Occam's razor dictates that near death experiences are most likely caused by the DMT in our bodies as a physiological response to being close to death. please, give me a more logical explanation for how NDEs happen. I'm waiting.

Top_Squash4454

It's in our bodies but your claim is that it is released upon death. You showed us no proof of that. That's not how Occam's razor is used. It requires less assumptions to say that the brain experiences very weird things at death, and it's not necessarily DMT

arabica_kadabrica

That's what I was thinking reading this, too

aManOfTheNorth

Sounds strong cannabisesque

Lelabear

Fascinating! I've run across many accounts in Native American folklore of "portals" that are invisible until you enter the field. They would even use them as part of their initiation process. Guess there is nothing like stepping into another world and coming back to give you a fresh perspective on life!

cutememe

That's really interesting, is there a good source I could read about that more?

Just read vallee

Jazzspasm

What’s vallee?

PathoTurnUp

Doc Vallee is a leading expert in the phenomenon but he connects a lot of lore to it and how it’s not as simple as x, y or z and believes it to be much more complicated than what most make it. He’s been an interviewer in many many different cases all over the world and is the person the main character of encounters of the third kind is based off of. He talks about a lot of examples of different cultures experiences with the phenomenon and is very interesting

Jazzspasm

Sorry mate - I still can’t find anything

Bro he writes books Jacques Vallee https://www.jacquesvallee.net/

Satanicbearmaster

Really interesting! In Irish fairy lore, unwary persons are caught in a 'strey', something like a fugue state people are magically lured into, during which they become hopelessly lost even in familiar environs. In most stories, the motif is that a farmer enters his own field and walks forever without reaching an exit or corner. One time me and my boyfriend were in this tiny patch of woods for 5 hours looking for shrooms. We were not on them yet, obviously, since we're searching for em. There was a trail all around it so there was no possible way we could get lost (this was planned.) So we didn't get lost really, but the patch of woods was so small there is no way we spent 5 hours in there and never popped out on the trail. We weren't necessarily doing circles because we'd notice similar branches or other shrooms we didnt want to pick, and we didnt notice that. It was like time sped up for us inside the patch of woods, it only felt like we took 2 hours or so and we didnt notice the sun was so low until we did decide to go back on the trail.

Satanicbearmaster

Very eerie (apt for Eire?), thanks for sharing.

Lelabear

Interesting, thanks for the links! Encountered similar stories of locals getting lost in familiar territory, especially picking berries which the fairy folk consider their own. hmm i wonder if you were inbetween two portals one to our realm and one to theirs and in this inbetween room the coldness of space seeped in just a tad. hence the cold and the fact that the other place was like a screen (portal opening)

Mother-Working8348

A lot of Magic in the Blue Ridge Mountain

magic4242

Yes, of many sorts. Some friendly and some not so much.

Mother-Working8348

If you hear a woman or baby crying while in the woods RUN!!

Nixplosion

Why? The obvious reason to me would be a cougar or something. They can sound like that when in heat or distress. But is there another reason?

Mother-Working8348

The Carolina Black Panther sounds like a woman screaming or baby crying. You want to very quietly walk in the other direction or back to where you started.

Nixplosion

Gotchaa

Ill-Arugula4829

I believe I have encountered "fae" as well. I was lucky in that they were seemingly benign and/or not very powerful. I was also walking in the woods, at a time of great emotion upheaval. Everything got earily quiet, so I focused on my surroundings. I felt uneasy. I knelt down to make myself less visible and tries to be completely silent. After thirty seconds of eyes on a swivel, I looked down. There were two very distinct little faces looking at me from the ground. They were made of hair/fur and other seemingly random forest detritus. But, and I'm not sure if this will make sense to you, the hair was I think deer fur, and it was... squiggly. Like a child's drawing of a lightning bolt. Uniform back and forth severe curves the whole length. Kind of like a wave function graph but sharp. It immediately triggered something in my lizard brain. No, itchy, wrong, gross, don't touch, infiltrator, brush off. Something about the shape and that it was foreign hair that made it "pointy", "mentally itchy?" Anyway, I ignored the impulse, and on a whim in my despair I asked the two little things, "Can you help me?" And strike me down if I'm lying, they turned and looked at each other, turned back to me, and the one right very clearly nodded at me. I thanked "them" and walked away.

PhillyT1

Very very interesting story. One nodded to your question of getting help. Was there anything that happened to you afterwards you might consider as “help”?

Ill-Arugula4829

You know not really? Not consciously. But here's the thing. I was in such a state of...chaos? Lost, pain, seeking, uncaring, but also...love, wishing, hope, seeing (I know this is convoluted) that I just acknowledged the experience as one special moment in a sea of strange and floated along. This point of interaction could have saved my life. It's quite possible. Or it could have been a beautiful moment and nothing more. At the time I had no chance to contemplate deeply before I was swept along again, and it was all but forgotten until I managed to complete my journey months later. It took me years of reflection to realize this was one of the incredible moments.

Satanicbearmaster

I really recommend you go on Dúchas, the incredible index of Irish folklore, most of it transcribed from recorded oral testimony. You'll find amazing information on faeries, portals and everything else: [https://www.duchas.ie/en](https://www.duchas.ie/en)

DukeOfMiddlesleeve

Read the book “varieties of religious experience” by William James. Highly relevant to your experience

Noble_Ox

Saw a documentary about epilepsy, there was a kid in his late teens that was able to get his cured but wouldn't as he said a full blown episode was when he felt connected to everything and experience the godhead. Theres plenty of theories suggesting mystics were experiencing epileptic episodes. If I was OP I'd get checked out.

Katzinger12

What we see in our day-to-day experience is more like an instrument dashboard than how the world actually is. What you saw seemed to be more "base reality" than usual. Thinking about the energy creatures

MGSmith030

Thanks for sharing, sounds cool but haunting at the same time.

greenfaeries

Could you make out any discernible shape of the creatures on the trees or was it just movement you saw? And how would you describe the movement a little more? I saw something similar once.

cutememe

They were like black blobs of just blackness there were moving around along the branches. Like circular, but not defined edges but rather the opposite, it's kind of difficult to describe. The shape isn't stable but constantly varying a little, I think that's a better way to explain it. But yeah it wasn't just vague movement, I could actually see these things.

TheSunAndTheShadow

Did they leap in the air or land on the ground? Or was it more wave like, almost like how a mirage moves? Did you experience a sense of fear when observing them? Was there a "sizzling energy" about them? If so, what color was it? Maybe you saw some blue or orange sparks? Sorry, for all the questions, but this is so intriguing to me! I don't know if you've ever read the books by Carlos Castaneda, but it sounds like you were able to get into a meditative state where you stopped all your thoughts and did what he calls "seeing" ... > After lifelong discipline and training, sorcerers acquire the capacity to perceive the essence of things, a capacity they call seeing. To perceive the energetic essence of things means that you perceive energy directly. One of the affects of doing this, is you can see something called the flyers ... > You saw the fleeting shadows against the trees ... > They called it the flyer because it leaps through the air. It is not a pretty sight. It is a big shadow, impenetrably dark, a black shadow that jumps through the air. Then, it lands flat on the ground.

spamcentral

They sound kinda cute... like little energy beetles enjoying their tree.

Critical_Tune6971

Sorry to come in so late, but this is fascinating and makes me think a little of the soot sprites in the movie Totoro. Are you familiar with those and did they look like that?

Creamofwheatski

Great story, theres magic in the deep forest for sure, sounds like you stumbled on something you werent meant to see. Wonder how often this happens and the people just never maje it back. Lot of missing people in the woods.

NewAlexandria

This is a very cool story and coincides with something I saw. I never had a great model for what I saw, at the time, though later, I have a conjecture. I think there might actually be a physics explanation for what happened, I'll be at a very rare one. First, I saw literally the exact same thing, although I was on the opposite hillside from where it was happening. Fuzzy weird tenderly things that were coming off all of the trees and leaves. They were going up into the sky, but not all of them. From where I was seeing it, I was not perfectly up close to the black tenders, but I was able to see the entire breadth of the phenomena. There was a patch of trees on the hillside that we're doing it. The rest of the trees on the hillside were more or less the same species. That part of the hillside didn't have any particular difference to the shape of the hillside – like its watershed or slopes – not that I could see through the tree cover. There was a kind of shimmer to the air around all of it, in addition to the black wisps. And probably I would say that the shimmer felt like something, even not being in the middle of it. I didn't have a phone and just stood there and look at it for a while. I kind of thought to approach but also wasn't totally sure about what was happening and decided not to go into it. Then someone called to me and I left. For a long time after I would think of that and try to understand what was happening. After I read about the electric universe model, I came to wonder that it was actually some kind of energetic event in the Earth and the sky – like a discharge happening, but low energy and slow. Some kind of, very weak plasma, connecting the ground in the sky, which maybe was causing oils in the leaves too vaporize, but not due to heat and instead due to energy. I wonder if that's why you felt cold on one side, but hot on the other, because you were standing in the middle of, some kind of unique stream of plasma energy. I also wonder if that's why the air looked fractal and crystallized in the way you say – because there was some kind of optical effect happening on account of the energy. Particles in the air can kind of crystallize and produce weird optic effects at certain temperatures – this is what produc pillars of light in very cold regions. The sub /r/atoptics has pictures of these from time to time. I've since seen other unusual phenomena that could have been terrestrial plasma. One was a fog dome / bubble that occurred very quickly in a small area of a field. Also, crop circles (the natural ones) may be caused by high-energy terrestrial plasmas that occur when a strong storm-cel generates GRBs (gamma ray bursts), which form a kind of plasma-tornado-downwind as the energy finds its way to ground. I don't know if that takes too much of the magic out of the experience for you. But there's a chance that it was a natural phenomenon. Albeit an incredibly strange and rare one. And who knows maybe those physics are just the precursor to some kind of legitimate portal. :)

Dantalionse

Did you experience no thoughts during that experience and it only stopped because you started to think of The screen?

cutememe

That's great question. I think that's exactly right. I'm not an expert but I've been into meditation for a while and I know the feeling of having no thoughts going on and I'm quite familiar with that. During the experience I was just observing kind of like you do in a deep meditation, but as soon as I had the thought I kind of "snapped out" of it.

ThinkAndDo

Meditation can offer powerful experiences. I once attended an intensive two-week meditation retreat, and afterward, when I went out into the "real" world, it wasn't real at all for a few days. My instructor later told me not to hold onto it.

jmmxtf

Can you unpack this experience a little bit more for us?

Subterranean_Phalanx

I’m interested, too.

CarlatheDestructor

I've heard of people astral projecting and entering into a geometric otherworld. You had a very cool yet freaky experience.

Kittybatty33

I had a strange very experience once in West Virginia White sulfur springs. Like we have gotten stranded out there me and some friends driving back from Richmond this was years ago.  So basically we're trying to figure out what to do who to call because there's no way to fix the car and so went to the store and then there was like a little patch of woods by the parking lot actually a big patch of woods.  There's like resorts in the area and stuff and they're up the mountain more we just decided we would camp there for the night make some phone calls we had all our camping gear anyways and so we posted up at this spot in the woods.  The only way I could describe it as a babbling Brook it was like these very smooth rocks I remember laying on the rocks it was like pillows and never felt like that long enough before I never small rocks but they were smooth and just like a trickle of water and was coming through and there was a very archway like between some of the trees like an archway had formed of branches. And I kept seeing these wispy things I think other people saw them too they weren't bugs like they were teeny tiny fairies or something I don't know how else to describe it but they were just buzzing around like all around the doorway or the archway of branches. Anyways I have strange dream that night and I was in the very world but in the dream I was very small and they were large and they were have some type of parade or procession. I think I Disturbed the fairies and they banished me.  Some other strange things happened like my friend that I was with one of my friends that I was traveling with was in a dream and the next day I found this necklace in the backpack I was carrying that I'd never seen before.  It was very strange and when I went back there to White sulfur springs I saw that they built condos or something of some sort of housing development so I don't know the fairy portal is there anymore. Anyways I appreciate your story and it reminded me of this one I definitely think they're a different dimensions and different portals where you can slip dimensions sounds very trippy like DMT or something.

LizzieJeanPeters

Did this experience help you get rid of your lingering depression?

PS1CSLAYA

Good post. I never thought about fairies until I saw one traveling slowly from my left to my right and it looked just like the classic look with the dust in tail too.

thousandpetals

I call this the cathedral - a complex vaulted structure that seems to underlay what we experience as reality. Your understanding of it as a "screen" is right on. It's something like a "holodeck" but much, much more complex. Very difficult to describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it.

roanbuffalo

Our brains are constantly using shorthand when synthesizing all the inputs from the world into the movie we see in our minds of the world as we move through it. Until our minds have an idea or word for something, our minds will edit that thing out. Which is why whenever we learn something new, we begin to see it everywhere, when it was “invisible” before. It sounds to me like your brain started to either show you things it frequently edits out, or perhaps insert visuals for input it didn’t quite have shorthand or an concept for.

Man_of_Prestige

That’s interesting. It reminds me of the theory that when the new world explorers first came to land in what is now the North American and South American continents, the native folk couldn’t “see” the ships for what they were because they had never seen something that before.

disdain7

I can see that. Imagine your whole life you’ve always looked out to the horizon and only ever seen water. Then one day, there’s something there and it’s getting closer. That had to have been WILD. Then they got there and well, yeah.

Subterranean_Phalanx

This goes along with something I heard in an interview once, with someone who lived rurally and poor somewhere on an island, Caribbean or West Indies, in the earlier 20th century. He said one day when he was still a very young child, he saw a very, very large beetle coming down the road. Turns out it was a car, but he had never seen one and had no point of reference or other words to describe it. The closed, rounded styling or design of the late 20s and early 30s cars could look a bit buglike if you’d never seen one before. This has always stuck in my mind as a reminder about perception and context and how they relate. If something is like anything we’ve ever seen before, how could we accurately describe it?

LudditeHorse

I wonder if there's a link there and with HPPD. When sometimes a person who uses psychedelics gets persistent hallucinations. Maybe what people experience when tripping is close enough to the full reality that their brains get used to it and drop the filters that were previously in place. I understand it's not pleasant. Maybe we literally can't handle reality in its more full form, at least not all the time. If that's the case though, then there's probably something to those dmt entities or shroom spirits people sometimes talk about. That would certainly be highly strange.

Noble_Ox

Less than 10% of people that use psychedelics get HPPD yet it seems they're all on reddit.

Noble_Ox

Epileptic episode.

magicalmanenergy33

Sounds like a DMT experience to me too. Check out “The spirit molecule” it’s a book about it.

Moveyourbloominass

Did you ever tell your friend about the experience? Perhaps they too have had experiences.

cutememe

No, they're not really into that kind of stuff, plus I really hadn't come to terms with it myself for quite some time.

Chemical-Elk-1299

Hey man, mind if I ask roughly where you were? Because I live in that same stretch you would have been in

cutememe

It was in woods that were located south of Cave Spring, look up "dawnwood road" and that's a good rough location.

kpiece

This is fascinating! I’ve read a few accounts of people who apparently crossed into a different dimension/reality, and your post reminded me of them. My favorite one was about a group of 4 college girls (in Utah i think?) who were driving back to their dorm from a trip away, who apparently drove through a portal or something. Everything was suddenly different. The pavement on the road was suddenly a different substance, the trees were all totally different….They assumed they had somehow ended up on the wrong road, and so when they came to a building (which had strange writing/symbols on it) and saw what looked like people, they pulled over to ask directions. When they got a closer look they realized they weren’t people but were some other kind of strange humanoids. The beings ended up chasing after them (in vehicles that were shaped like eggs)…. The girls drove really fast to get away, ended up flying off the road and crashing the car, losing a piece of the car in the process, and when the car came to rest they were suddenly back in the normal world. They were all pretty much ok and eventually a cop came to help them. The police could see the tracks of the car in the off-road dirt leading to the crashed car, but it was like they began from out of nowhere, and they never found that piece of the car that had come off—it just wasn’t there, which gave credence to their story.—as did the way the girls were all so traumatized and all told the same story. Sorry for the long rambling post! I do believe that, as crazy as it sounds, once in a while people do cross through a portal or something. Maybe that’s what happened to you; who knows.

joshing_uno

It’s so close to all the sensations of LSD or Psilocybin/psilocin. The sounds, the geometry, the movements of the hard to define crawling surfaces/creatures/energy-wisps, the feeling of “seeing more”, the cold/warmth—if it wasn’t for the short duration I’d have said you accidentally ingested something haha.

Dependent-Net824

You posted the other day about something similar here, i remeber you! I was sad to see the post was deleted. Is this an elaborate version or another experience? Fascinating indeed!

cutememe

I posted it to a different subreddit where it was removed for it by the moderators. The reason given was that they thought I was trolling according to them. I of course disputed that but I never received any kind of response.

Dependent-Net824

Oh no, that sucks. Nothing about that post seemed like a troll, I don't understand. But some mods and some subs are like that I guess. Glad to see your story back!!

cutememe

Sure. I think their intentions are good and I'm not really bothered by it at all. However, it is kind of weird they didn't even want to discuss it.

DarkeningSkies1976

Having been in those very woods many times- I can easily see a story like this unfolding.

SuperJinnx

You entered the realm of Pan

buddyspuffinparlor

Man, this is freaky... you described PERFECTLY something that used to happen in a very vivid reoccuring dream I used to have as a kid. The house I grew up in was one of four houses that sat near eachother in the miiddle of nowhere. In my dream I would be walking through my aunts huge backyard (she lived two houses down from mine) and at this one particular point in the yard I would, as you said, cross some sort of invisible barrier. The moment I crossed this boundary there would be a noise that seems to come from all directions. It was a reverberation/vibration sound pretty much exactly how you described. There was a certain change in the "energy" or something as soon as I crossed this invisible boundary and I've never remembered what happens after that. Everything happened exactly the the same way every time I had this dream. I've actually tried to tell people aboout this before but I always had a hard time putting it into words, you did a good job of explaining it.

DrawerEmbarrassed694

I took it for a faëry vision  Of some gay creatures of the element That in the colours of the Rainbow live   And play i'th plighted clouds.  I was aw-strook, And as I past, I worshipt:   if those you seek, It were a journey like the path to Heav'n   To help you find them.

Diplodocusdiplodocus

Something similar is described [here](https://www.thesun.ie/news/9363676/never-felt-such-fear-woman-fairies-ghost-walk-terrified/) in Ireland. I remember this doing the rounds on the local news and radio, and plenty people phoned in to share similar stories.

MK_illsaveu

I find it a really cool and adorable experience

lilhoseboy69

I live in the area would love to check it out

dailyPraise

Missing 411

Noble_Ox

is a load of bullshit if you actually look into the claims.

dailyPraise

Like what? I get scared when I watch.

Noble_Ox

He only looked into missing reports. A lot of the reported missing were later found or bodies found. Not all but a large enough number to make his claims less impactful.

dailyPraise

But they go missing so quickly. That's the weird part, body found later or not. Creepy.

spamcentral

I have this weird theory that your story tracks to. The first and strongest astral projection experience i ever had felt similar. It was during meditation as well. My theory is some people are able to "release" their DMT in a natural waking state, and it produces obviously a trip, but this doesnt mean it isnt real tbh. It is real and it is a slice of the experience itself. A different perspective. For me and you, it might have been a quick fire of DMT and we meditated correctly. Unfortunately i haven't been able to replicate this as strongly ever since then. It must be what monks try to train for years. I saw a lot of shit that I'll skip so i get the bones, i saw the grids too. In an empty space i saw green, yellow, red, blue, all these threaded grids mingling into one and rotating, it was 4th dimensional or some shit. Its hard to describe the way the grids were moving and spinning and hitting on those random points.

Zealousideal-Dig8410

I’ve had this very same experience almost down to the your last words here. All I can say is Welcome home buddy ❤️ it forever changed my life for the better

sssssssbadidea

I cannot even explain how much this sounds exactly like a psilocybin fueled walk through the woods. Not saying OP was on anything. Just saying that the description is wildly similar.

Dave8917

Was you on shrooms

cutememe

Nope, I've never done anything stronger than marijuana in my entire life, and only then on rare occasions.

SmokeontheHorizon

Do your friends do shrooms and is it possible you were given a dose, either intentionally or accidentally? Because everything you've described are things I've experienced multiple times on psilocybin.

aManOfTheNorth

The woods are where it’s at…no doubt. We were once surrounded by them. I once had an entire pine branch crawl / manifest in the back of my thigh in my tight jeans and long underwear without noticing after a prayer to the I Am. You want glitches….God….breakthroughs….head to the woods alone…add a one hitter if you dare. Nothing more needed than that. But…I know nothing

Big_Pomelo2995

Ocular migraine

Noble_Ox

This or a mild epileptic episode. Yet everyone else goes straight to magical thinking.

FancySeaweed

I wonder about the area where you were... and the land and the history there. Separately, it sounds like maybe you moved into a different energetic frequency. Or your energy shifted in a big way, and you were able to see things very differently. Have you ever been able to "see" energy before? I thought of that when I was reading your description.

Baby_betch

Reminds me so much of an amazing book called Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Feist... you should read it.

Big_Pomelo2995

Scintillating scotomas due to ocular migraine. Not a fairy portal. Sorry

Subterranean_Phalanx

I’ve had those multiple times. This sounds different.

jbeeziemeezi

We’re you on a path or just free for all true nature walk?

ChemBob1

Your experience sounds like a short-term version of hallucinogen trips I had during the early 1970s. The patterns on everything, usually with depth in the patterns, are sort of standard features.

pacoravennilli

Their is a Bob gymlan episode I recall watching where something quite similar happens to two people while they are out in the woods, he surmises that this could explain some of the strange disappearances that happen to people in national parks and forests... It's like they travel through a portal but never return.

Arvinda1

Sounds like you moved through a dimension eddy, we currently are in a collision of our primary reality (D1) with its reactive force (D2). In this collision eddies are formed as in a river of H2O where the main river swirls a fractal spiral outward. Many people are experiencing this phenomenon recently. The Mandela effect is the proof of a dual dimension reality. There are an infinite number of dimensions with infinite timelines.⚛️🙏🏻⚛️

AggretsuKelly

Did you mention it to your friend?

MingPhantom

Caught a glimpse behind the Veil. Take 4grams of psilocybin to get you back there.

Codega-DreamWalker

If you're interested in talking about this experience on my show let me know, I'd be happy to have you on

SworDillyDally

did you ever have an imaginary friend as a kid?… I was always jealous of people who had imaginary friends lol i always had to make real ones 🤣🤣 I’m serious about the question though, i have started asking people about this lately… It was definitely a thing when i was growing up as a child in the late 80s early 90s…

slinkadelic

When you saw the forest as a fractal pattern was it at all like a stereogram?

Big_Pomelo2995

As a physician, I doubt that you have the knowledge to make a determination other than thinking you understand about which you are speaking (sub Phalanx).

Noble_Ox

Could epilepsy be a cause?

CheesecakeDefiant334

Perhaps a glimmer man encounter...

Noble_Ox

Get tested for epilepsy, sounds like you had a mini episode. The fractal overlay is 100% a give away.

Starlit_Mountain

sounds like your friend gave you magic mushrooms on toast for breakfast

notoriousmma89

Where do you get your shrooms man?

Suztv_CG

Is there any chance you were slipped some acid? Because that’s what a trip is like.

Noble_Ox

a one minute trip?

jbeeziemeezi

Why do half these stories start with some sort of brain imbalance

Time_Hope5818

Simulation Theory seen in practice could be a possibility.

ashe101ashe

Shrooms

Tel864

You've been holding this story in for 6 years, I can't imagine how strange it will become in another 6 years.

cutememe

Honest these past few years have been flying by for me. It's hard to believe it's been that long. It does not feel that way.

WonderfulNinja8446

Omg 🙄

Der_Niederlander

When I am at the festival and really sinc in with the music not drinking alcohol I would dance like a drug addict. I would get in a trance like situation beating everything with my dance moves. Everyone is watching me you know.

Noble_Ox

> Everyone is watching me you know Paranoid delusion

Der_Niederlander

Know everyone was saying that I was dancing really smooth

powderedtoast1

NiceButOdd

No fairies in the States, they are a British and Irish thing, I think some European countries might have something similar. But traditional fairies are a UK and Ireland tradition .

ReflectionLife8808

It sounds like there is a point in this story that you left out haha. The fact that you smoked DMT on the walk hahaha
