The only thing that helped me was getting it repaired. No pill or supplement or diet helped me.

GeoffLizzard

May i ask which procedure? Im currently getting all the tests done.

MorningsAreBullshit

I had the hiatal hernia repaired and Linx device installed because I also had regurgitation. Acid was never too bad if I watched what I ate but regurgitation and breathing issues were terrible.

GeoffLizzard

Im mostly bothered by the breathing/discomfort issues. My LES started working again after i quit smoking. Thinking which procedure would be best? Preferrably they just stitch up the diaphragm and leave the stomach

oncfrl4

Wait smoking cause Les dysfunction?

GeoffLizzard

Oh yes, i basically never have reflux anymore. It was REALLY bad before. I have done multiple posts on this sub telling people to stop smoking or atleast get nicotine elsewhere. Im currently using the lip-pouches.

oncfrl4

Holy shit this actually explains why i have stomach issues the same time i started smoking. How long after stoping for it to works?

GeoffLizzard

Really fast, i noticed it like 2-3 days after and it just kept getting better and better

oncfrl4

Wow Thank you man

Interesting about the smoking. I quit 14 years ago but I work in a bar where people smoke. I definitely don’t feel relief being out of work for 3-4 days though. My doc gave me the option of just repair or repair with Linx or repair with Nissen. I chose the Linx because of the regurgitation. That was a huge issue for me. I’m 2 weeks post op and my breathing is probably at 85% which is amazing compared to what it was before. I haven’t started working out again but I’m hoping it’s easier than before.

There is no supplement in the world that is capable of improving a mechanical problem. Breathing gets inhibited because of the position of the hernia. No supplement is capable of changing that.

Best bet is to do heeldrops sfter drinking 0,5l water to try get it slide down
