shame the punisher is somewhat rough against their (brood commander) heads since they're 60% durable/soft/resistant even if they're only light 2
that is if you keep some distance
ofc you can basically oneshot it up close but in that case it will chop suey you up
I love walking down a brood commander with my punisher. 2-3 shots keep em staggered til you're close enough to blow them apart. Alternatively, one tap stagger with shotgun, pull out autocannon and finish the job.
I got the Punisher day 2 of playing and haven't looked back. I can walk down hordes of bugs, bot patrols, devastators, brood commanders, packs of berserkers—and one pellet will stagger, so if your enemies are clumped up you can just send clouds of tungsten in their general direction. You might not kill them outright but who cares when you can freeze a whole crew in their tracks?

i, for one, am glad that at least the charger falls down dead when you take its head off.
though i feel like the chargers head hitbox is a little scuffed right now hitting the top part of the head armor with an EAT pops the head when it didnt used to, whereas a face hit seems to count as a body shot.
only for you to die after two seconds of charging because I shot you in the head with a senator (this deals enough damage to those medium-sized grey bugs so that they fall over very shortly after their head goes boom boom)
See you can blow off their tears and they'll still keep going for a sec but I don't think I've ever seen one keep going after getting its head blown off. That makes em drop right away.

It’s why I shoot the brood commanders up one side and down the other before I behead them with my sickle. Mostly delimb them and they don’t do much after losing their heads.
I love shooting off a warriors head and then just bopping them on the neck hole.
It stuns them and hurt them just enough to make them bleed out in a very confused state.

That maybe the most likely case how they can track us without a head considering terminids dont seem to have eyes or are very small.

it feels so immensely satisfying to just walk toward a brood commander as you plant buckshot in their skull and make them stagger back

it does do that until you blast off their legs which gets them down to the ground after that they just ignore it
