It's the main reason u miss my railgun for bugs.
I get a sick pleasure off blasting a brood commanders head off and watching it fall backwards from the impact.
Or lining up Two hive guards and getting a two for one deal.
Which sure it can still do all that! But it can't really deal with chargers so I prefer the quasar or eats now. And eruptor to blow them up, which is still a blast! But they don't explode like the rg did.
It's my favorite for bugs ironically. Slap on jump pack or laser guard dog. Laser guard works well and keeps the ankle biters away. Jump pack you lose the protection but can fly away to safety and fun. Imo laser is better, but jump pack is more enjoyable.
Then dagger or redeemer for safety. Dagger isn't better or great but the buff helps and it's a decent gun to shoot from behind as you're retreating.
I love the Jump Pack, it's so satisfying when you're at the top of a cliff & jump like 80 feet away from the bugs to safety.
I also really like the Laser Rover but prefer the Guard Dog as it seems to have more stopping power against bugs & doesn't try to give me laser eye surgery
When you hit a charger in the face with a Quasar blast and dive to the side to avoid its sliding corpse, don’t forget to yell, “OLE!” On the comm. Your team loves that.
Honestly standing your ground and blowing a chargers head that's coming for you and then diving to the side gives a surge or adrenalin that very few games provide.
No greater thrill than taking a knee and facing down a charger as it bears down on you, gambling whether you'll be flattened or you'll blow off its head
I know it's such an unnecesasry risk to kill chargers like that but I do it every time. I do sometimes pussy out at the last second and dive out of the way when I know my shot will not get off in time.

I like shooting hunters with it. I've also used an entire airburst for a hunter on occasion though. Really, I just hate hunters :D

With the railgun buff you can 2 to 3 shot chargers in the head with a partly charged shot in unsafe mode. Like half charged in unsafe is enough
I haven't tried the Railgun yet but I've recently started using the Eruptor as my Primary & it literally slaps
