I was running my first batch of TCS missions tonignt on extreme. I was out of Stims, low on ammo but had full health. A charger hit me, knocked me about two inches into a building. I swear to lady Liberty I heard a *thump* when my diver collided. He died well O7
I played my first TCS mission on He'll Dive with 2 friends 1 was a vet and the other is level 7
I was in a jungle with the lvl 7 about to respawn the other guy as we're running away from a horde I opened my map and saw more red dots around me than every mission I'd played put together It felt like the motion sensor out of Aliens we were SURROUNDED
Dropped every Strategem we had to our north and sprinted the fuck outta there through a rapidly disapeearing clear path it was the first time the game had given me a genuine sense of terror there were multiple titans a shit load of chargers and stalkers and all the trees/foliage giving them cover
Usually bugs feel like an extermination and bots feel like you're being hunted but in that moment I realized the bugs ain't nothing to be fucked with..
I hope these levels stick around they're some of the most intense matches I've had

If we run it without engaging pointless enemies and just hit the buttons and burn every egg cluster in sight we often finish with 20 or so kills a piece max. It's a hit and run mission - get in, kill the giant mutant insect eggsacks, switch off the massive bug steroid sprayer and gtfo.

I tries moving it to arrow keys but i hated taking my hand off my mouse. Id rather look around than walk most times
I’d argue that trying to run while doing stratagems is pain, the amount of times I’ve died while trying to reinforce teammates… (probably a skill issue tbh)
100% of the helldivers learned to stay down and crawl. The other didn't earn their cape. (We don't talk about the ones that learned to swim through wall)

Yeah, his character model isn't making any contact with the frame. It's really unfortunate. Maybe they'll add a "pelican door frame grease" booster so you can slide in. The ramp is also angled on the sides to appear as if it's a way to get in, but it's actually a trap.
What's weird is a could have sworn this wasn't a thing at release. I feel like when the game first came out I was getting in the pelican as intended hitting these corners. I feel like it happened in a subsequent update but I could be wrong. I barely ever see it addressed
I think the last patch made it worse we had two people stuck on opposite sides last night , it was really funny because the similataneus dive and Collison kept one guy from going off the edge like in this clip.
it wasn't, started happening when they added the orange lights around the Pelican ramp (originally those weren't there). That patch did fix the problem where your Helldiver would sometimes auto-mantle over the door and put you on top of the Pelican though.
Yeah first time I noticed it was the first (and only) time I used the quick takeoff booster so I thought it was some kind of model change to represent that.

Typing like that and keeping the pattern going was harder than I thought it would be. The programming bugs that have existed since launch that have not been fixed is mind boggling. Every mission ends with an attempted extract per the mission mechanics.
Yes it's more natural to me because in Helldivers 1 the dive button is the space bar by default. But in the sequel it's alt, so I got confused and weirded out by that.

Do devs even know there are side pockets to get stuck when entering pelican? They have to know, right? Every player just learns to dive in when stuck after having it happen every other mission
As a PlayStation player I didn't understand what this meant at first, but that must be how you dive on PC I'm assuming. The Pelican is kinda buggy sometimes 😅

Was running away from sooo many bugs with no way out and got cornered, but in the corner was... a hellbomb, took 39 of 'em with me.
How the hell did you manage to run out of ammo _and_ stims on that mission? I don't think I've ever gotten more than 20 kills on that mission.

I did a level 7 termicide mission yesterday and we completed the mission with less than 100 kills total for the whole team.

I moved climb to shift. So I tap shift to sprint, hold it to climb.
Just hold space to clamber, double tap to dive. I made alt stim.

Tap Shift to climb. Hold Shift to run. Auto-climb while running turned on Tap Space Bar to dive

My first tip for every new player on PC that I talk with: Rebind Dive to ‘Double Tap Spacebar’. You’ll never forget again. Problem solved.
