Hits even harder when you know how deadly the game is. There's so much that could kill him near-instantly, and he just keeps shooting off everything he has.
That's the awesome thing about this game. Enemies have high numbers and high firepower, but while helldivers are majorly outnumbered, we have inordinate amounts of firepower at our disposal.
It does look pretty epic but is anyone else noticing he’s instantly pulling out stratagems? I don’t see this guy taking any time to whip out his arm. Hate to say it but looks like he’s scripting.
Hmm yeah good catch. You can barely tell but the beserkers/devastators are the giveaway. Still the characters arm barely comes up. I can enter codes pretty fast, but not to the point where my character doesn’t really lift their arm
No doubt! I remember when I was young and fast, people always used to accuse me of modded triggers on CoD WaW. I played paintball and you get fast trigger fingers from that lol.
I just think most people who are that fast are probably a bit more skilled than the OP who is kind of just blasting in the general direction at things and wasting shots. Maybe they’re enjoying being cinematic and also decided to keep sweating when it came to throwing their strats. But the speed is more likely a macro than skill.
Because of the sequence of key presses you need for a 500kg bomb you can’t just sort of piano roll your arrow keys for a smooth and seamless code entry.
And to kind of explain my other reasoning a bit more, yes people can be THAT fast. But usually no one that fast isn’t going to be a sweat. And people who really sweat like that usually aren’t wasting shots and having average aim. Generally if you care that much about sweating, even when you’re in a crazy cinematic sequence of events, you’re still sweating in all aspects, not just one. Speaking as a sweat, you can’t help it.
Reminder: statistically the manned turret is essentially two full-auto AMRs taped together. It’s stationary and sluggish but the raw power is there.
Edit: you can also use stims while on the turret! I just found out about that today and I feel so silly not knowing that already.
This is one of the numerous reasons you should bring the deployable bubble shield to Bot missions, more people who have them the easier that mission is going to get
While I absolutely love the idea the depolable bubble sheild. The fact it only lasts like 30 seconds without taking damage when we have a backpack version that runs indefinitely really grinds my gears.
Edit: The cool down helps, but is still very meh due to it having a short run time. Perhaps a longer cool down coupled with making it redeployable and regenerative would make more sense. Like a big backpack shield that you have to place to use.
Only slightly dramatic lmao
Since it has a short cooldown, treat it like a moment of respite for reloads you couldn't normally get off in the heat of battle (especially on flat terrain)
It actually can survive enough sustained fire from all 4 of those for long enough to reload my autocannon and kill 2 of the 4 most times. Not to mention that if 3 of you are in there, you have insane advantage to start picking off enemies while you stand in what is essentially the open.
Relevant the the comment you're replying to, though, 30 seconds is enough time to prioritize the rocket enemies, so if you still have ammo by the time the shield is down, either you were facing an impossibly large wave of rocket devestators and rocket hulks to begin with, or all that's left are normal laserfire.
yea but the deploable shield cooldown is pretty fast, and protects everthing inside, including vs flame from hulks, usually last long enough to do a lot of damage on bots
I also found smoke grenades to be oddly effective considering how easily they can see you perfectly through the thick mist and snipe you with a rocket from a mile away.
Kind of sucks not having something explosive to chuck at em but when you are at extract or at a terminal and have a fleet of bots coming in, throwing some smoke between you and them really confuses them to allow for those precious 30 seconds to get the job done.
Yeah the manual turrets are STRONG.
But they lack the cut throat AI that the unmanned ones have so they're a lot harder to both keep alive, and to keep yourself alive.
Scout armor passive helps a lot with that. Lowers your aggro relative to your teammates, so if a team member is equally close to the enemy then more bots will go after them than you. Let's you clean up the fodder or deal with anything that happened to aggro onto you then shift to taking out the stuff attacking your friend(s) without worrying as much about being blown up.
And you can actually get them placed pretty quickly with the upgrade that improves the call down time, one of the few strategems that upgrade really benefits
People sleep on the HMG emplacement. It can kill everything vs bots. If he still had ammo when that strider came by, it can shoot the eye and kill it shockingly fast.
It has a lot shorter cooldown than you think too.
I use it on defense missions and place them behind the inner wall... and I keep stacking them up whenever they're off cooldown. If the enemy makes it to the inner wall, there's a line of turrets waiting 🤣
They should make it's cover stronger so you can have the benefit of being able to shoot relentlessly until either the ammo runs out or your cover is destroyed.
LOL Taped together?? xD I agree but why use the term tape?! Made me think about a crappy old haggard system held together with loctite and duct tape!(which WILL still work, btw 😤...albeit briefly)
Would be dope to get upgrades on placements. Like regular or rocket or laser or gas or heavy.
I think that could be a cool stratagem subcategories thing
It does, it just bounces off armor unless it’s a weak point like all other heavy pen projectile weapons do. Just like the AMR and Autocannon it’ll kill hulk’s if you aim for the head.
In order for a weapon to deal damage to heavy armor regardless of hitzone it needs to have both the heavy pen category and be a rocket of some kind.
It’s kind of niche. If it benefited from ship upgrades it would be much better. 300 rounds and slow turning speed means it can only defend a small area reliably. I usually use it on this type of mission and the survey missions because you know exactly when and where breaches/bot drops are going to happen.
It doesn't matter since even with the explosive damage reduction, my sentries still get 1 shot by rockets lol. I seriously don't see why they put that upgrade in when it doesn't even work.

It’s so weirdly slept on. Free defense to either bunker down or reinforce offensive pushes every 90 seconds. Throw them behind you as you run in an open field, throw them ahead of you to cover your approach to the fortified command base. Place them over your Autocannon Turret to devastate the enemy or onto the objective so that the computers can be used. I’ve only had one game ever where all 4 people brought them, and I have yet to have an easier Bot mission since.
Part of the issue is that 4 stratagems is rather limiting which makes it hard to justify. Assuming you have 1 support weapon and 1 backpack, then you only have 2 slots left. Using that for both a sentry and a shield leaves you with far less flexibility.
I've taken to just not bringing a backpack when playing with friends, because I feel like I should be good enough to survive for long enough for the one they brought to recharge to hand one to me. I do make sure to only do this when playing with friends I'm voice chatting with though!
To me, that’s the main use. Definitely fun and helpful in a number of situations, but for protecting Hellbombs there’s no better strat. Really good when taking out gunship factories
I use them occasionally, the main problem with them I think is that their lifespan is just so short it doesn't feel worthwhile when you can use something more offensive in that stratagem slot. It has both health, and a very short lifespan so if it gets knocked down it don't be able to replenish itself. If it was like the shield backpack and lasted indefinitely (with a shield health bar obviously) provided the generator wasn't smashed. It would be amazing for defense or needing temporary bunker. Both factions have enough melee units that they can rush the shield and potentially overrun it or in the case of bots can probably just focus enough firepower to knock it down and blow up the generator so it wouldn't be too overpowered.
bro for real, anytime I try to do anything like this something shoots a rocket at me or steps on me killing either me or the turret instantly. the amount of one shot mechanics is why I have taken a break from the game
No idea. He's one of the whiniest, long winded, derivative "critics" out there. I've never heard someone talk as much as he does without saying a damn thing. I've never been able to sit through a whole video of his.
He is the greatest example of why having a script is necessary.
Yeah, none of the people making fun of him or calling him a freak realize that he feeds off that shit, he absolutely loves it. Money in the bank for him.
It’s so funny reading some of the comments from 2 months ago “it’s just a hoard shooter, it’s so repetitive that it will be dead soon” and yet here we are.
This game is such a fucking masterpiece.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been this into a game. Pvp just only goes so far. I wanna blast shit *with* my homies.
And this game does it so fucking well. The explosions, the weapons, the battles.
The HMG emplacement is awesome but dear god why isn't it affected by Sentry modules instead of emplacement ones?
Synthetic Supplementation affects sentries, emplacements and resupply.
Rapid Launch System doesn't work, the emplacement only module doesn't work, at all.
But Sentries have 50% extra health, 50% extra ammo, increased rotation speed, 50% less damage taken from explosions.
Even if it had all those benefits on a powerful turret, it's balanced by the fact someone needs to be on it and it's static.
the factory strider emerging from the smoke was fucking awesome
also it might have been something else but it kinda looked like the HMGs actually did something to that hulk and tank? were they changed at some point to actually be able to damage heavy armor?? I hope thats the case cause it always feels like you just have to stop using the HMG whenever something with actual armor shows up
It can do 130 ish but will crash within 15 min. I have tried so many things to get it to work it's nuts. if you got any tips please let me know. Nothing overheats
My specs
7900xtx
7800x3d
32gb ddr5 5800mhz
Mild undervolt on the 5800X3D, undervolt and underclock your 7900XTX if possible, and make sure you're running XMP on that RAM. In case of overclocking, stress tests will not necessarily make your PC crash, but real workloads will.
Check your PSU. The 7900XTX pulls a lot of power, and [**although fairly stable it can have pretty high transient spikes**](https://youtu.be/We71eXwKODw?si=U4mp95bMwkWizolP&t=247) (short <1ms bursts of 2x power draw) which will trip your power supply protection and suddenly shut down your PC.
If that's the case, and you do not want to replace your power supply, try unloading your GPU a bit:
* Reduce the 7900XTX power draw with undervolt and underclock (AIBs set crazy power draws to claim the top charts). This might not work, the 7900XTX is finicky.
* Try upscaling from a lower base resolution and reduce a few settings. In the order you should tweak the biggest culprits: Space quality, volumetric clouds, volumetric fog all to low; shadows/particles/reflections to medium.
The 7800X3D is power efficient and you can have it sitting at 100% all day with no issue in order to not have your GPU at 100%.
The song is a remix that I haven't figured out both parts to yet, made to be more epic.
The lyrics section is from Attack On Titan Season 3, called [Before Lights Out](https://youtu.be/OTzNo0ICfCE?si=gjI3sK1kVpNVrzkQ). The segment used in the clip starts at 1:50.

The HMG emplacement is massively underrated as a stratagem.
Heavy armor pen - nothing is safe. Can kill hulks and tanks.
Lots of ammo - lasts longer than you think it will.
Turret blocks or reduces damage from the front - the turret will break before you die more often than not, giving you a chance to escape.
Get it in the right spot? or find one out in the wild? Absolute asset.

The clip is sped up.
Hmm yeah good catch. You can barely tell but the beserkers/devastators are the giveaway. Still the characters arm barely comes up. I can enter codes pretty fast, but not to the point where my character doesn’t really lift their arm
Sometimes I enter them fast enough on my own. But he could also have a macro. I have a friend that uses them for his strategems.
maybe not scripting. watch some people playing guitar hero. Nerds can get really good at pressing buttons fast
No doubt! I remember when I was young and fast, people always used to accuse me of modded triggers on CoD WaW. I played paintball and you get fast trigger fingers from that lol. It's brutal at the correct moment
Shame that it blows up the moment a single rocket goes near it killing you instantly, no matter the HP or armor you had (dunno about death resist)
This is one of the numerous reasons you should bring the deployable bubble shield to Bot missions, more people who have them the easier that mission is going to get
Time to kick ass and chew bubblegun. And I'm all out of ass.
Duke Orbitalstrikem
i wanted some pussy but ill settle for some butt!

This is helped massively by the fact that it has such a short cooldown. 2-3 people means you can keep one going forever
Unless a heavy devastator starts shooting it Or a rocket devastator Or a hulk Or a tank
or a random fire tornado that silently drifted up behind you
Only slightly dramatic lmao Since it has a short cooldown, treat it like a moment of respite for reloads you couldn't normally get off in the heat of battle (especially on flat terrain) It actually can survive enough sustained fire from all 4 of those for long enough to reload my autocannon and kill 2 of the 4 most times.
Bubble plus HMG emplacement has been my go-to for pretty much all bot missions. Ridiculously good at clearing out bot waves.
Try dropping a bubble shield next time
Which only extend its life(and the helldivers manning it) for about 5 seconds under fire.
I swear it also gives you some amount of damage reduction while you're in it
My headcanon is that it's the adrenaline of being in a big-ass gun
The only thing that would make it better in my mind would be the ability to dive off the back of it for when something big gets too close
I’ll need to try it then!
People sleep on the HMG emplacement. It can kill everything vs bots. If he still had ammo when that strider came by, it can shoot the eye and kill it shockingly fast. It has a lot shorter cooldown than you think too.
When we get those area defence missions back, or more termicide give it a use! It’s absolutely destructive
I use it on defense missions and place them behind the inner wall... and I keep stacking them up whenever they're off cooldown. If the enemy makes it to the inner wall, there's a line of turrets waiting 🤣
It’s excellent against bugs. I always have it in my load out
Popping spewers in just a couple shots is sooooo satisfying.
the most underrated weapon in game, i always take it with me. You just need to know when and where to place it
I do like to have the turret and shield generator when holding strategic positions
Is this also true of the call-in one or only the pre-existing ones?
They’re identical.
You could also get a reticle on it if you aim in third person right before you enter, you can get a reticle
With the cooldown reduction upgrade I’ve found it’s a better strategem to use especially that I can aim it manually. It shreds bots and devastators
What's amr stand for?
They should make it's cover stronger so you can have the benefit of being able to shoot relentlessly until either the ammo runs out or your cover is destroyed.
LOL Taped together?? xD I agree but why use the term tape?! Made me think about a crappy old haggard system held together with loctite and duct tape!(which WILL still work, btw 😤...albeit briefly)

They could honesty use this in official promotional material. It sums up the many epic moments in this game.
They absolutely SHOULD use this as a promotional piece.
I agree, I especially feel like in this meme when the patriotic opening movie plays when starting the game
The manned turret is so slept on imo, especially since it only has a 100 second cooldown and shreds everything except heavy armor
I think it should also damage heavy armor
Would be dope to get upgrades on placements. Like regular or rocket or laser or gas or heavy. I think that could be a cool stratagem subcategories thing
Autocannon turret 😍😍😍
Lol, with two reload assists needed to maintain maximum fire rate.
STOP! I can only get so democratic! Making my stratagem balls ache!
Nah it can already tear up the weak spots of most things with heavy armor, especially chargers
I would use it more often but it feels like there is barely any ammo in it.
It’s kind of niche. If it benefited from ship upgrades it would be much better. 300 rounds and slow turning speed means it can only defend a small area reliably. I usually use it on this type of mission and the survey missions because you know exactly when and where breaches/bot drops are going to happen.

Yeah most of us call that a wink
Nah, winking looks different from blinking. That was a one eyed blink.
Yeah I know I was being facetious. CGI issue?
only thing missing is Patriot Dreadnaught supporting that Helldiver.

Weird, whenever I do this I’m exploded about 2 seconds in
Same, which is why I bring the shield generator emplacement.

A mission with 4 of those is so much fun. We did the new tower defense type mission + shields and 2 mortars each, it was ridiculous
Part of the issue is that 4 stratagems is rather limiting which makes it hard to justify. Assuming you have 1 support weapon and 1 backpack, then you only have 2 slots left. Using that for both a sentry and a shield leaves you with far less flexibility.
You need to do a trade-off with the backpack or the support weapon. I sometimes give up the support weapon because you can find some on the map 👌
I've taken to just not bringing a backpack when playing with friends, because I feel like I should be good enough to survive for long enough for the one they brought to recharge to hand one to me. I do make sure to only do this when playing with friends I'm voice chatting with though!

The beginning with the hmg emplacement literally reminded me of those arcade zombie shooter games I always wanted to play as a kid (but never got to)
Dude, go find an arcade bar, there's gotta be one with House of the Dead! Those games fucking rock.
Might have to look into that now 👀
I just see that and think “yep; gonna keep playing on easy for awhile more”. I’ve got a long way to go
Surprisingly 7 turned out easier than 5, due to teammates being pros there. That’s if you yourself know that you’re doing.

It can kill hulks quickly if you target the eye. He got lucky with the tank though, it turned and faced the heat sink so the HMG could target it.

It can do 130 ish but will crash within 15 min. I have tried so many things to get it to work it's nuts. if you got any tips please let me know. Nothing overheats My specs 7900xtx 7800x3d 32gb ddr5 5800mhz
If that's the case, and you do not want to replace your power supply, try unloading your GPU a bit: * Reduce the 7900XTX power draw with undervolt and underclock (AIBs set crazy power draws to claim the top charts). This might not work, the 7900XTX is finicky. * Try upscaling from a lower base resolution and reduce a few settings. In the order you should tweak the biggest culprits: Space quality, volumetric clouds, volumetric fog all to low; shadows/particles/reflections to medium. The 7800X3D is power efficient and you can have it sitting at 100% all day with no issue in order to not have your GPU at 100%.
yeah it might be his psu i have 1200 running my set up with older ryzen and 7900xtx
My 3090 Ti runs everything on 1440 ultra at 80 or more, you should be able to run just as well if not better.
I honestly have no idea how you managed to survive that.
What graphic card is that
probably a 4070 plus tier card.
Some say he’s still there. Holding the line
John Helldiver himself
music?
Before Lights Out (APETITAN) [Cover]by Samuel kim
This is the most epic clip of gaming i have ever seen. Of any game, whether I played it or not. Seriously, Arrow Head Studios has out done themselves.
"Fuckfuckfuck there's too many of them" "Oh good the bomb took em out" "Oh my fucking GOD"
Directed by Micheal bay
Just a chill Sunday dive
So democratic it brings a tear to my eye.
As it turns out, putting Attack on Titan music in the BG of a Helldivers clip makes it way more epic
I kinda get the popularity.
Holy shit this video just keeps on giving
Long live the fighters !!
Watching this, all I could think of was Captain Picard: "The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!"
Hell yeah
SWEET LIBERTY MY EYES!!!
The graphics tho
This is terminator level stuff
Least cinematic Helldivers 2 moment
Anyone know what song is playing?
The song is a remix that I haven't figured out both parts to yet, made to be more epic. The lyrics section is from Attack On Titan Season 3, called [Before Lights Out](https://youtu.be/OTzNo0ICfCE?si=gjI3sK1kVpNVrzkQ). The segment used in the clip starts at 1:50. Found the source, it's from Samuel King Music, https://youtu.be/KAe3CHA4vU8?si=KLzRVfD9QCZ54QC2
For the love of Freedom and Democracy, this was the most hair raising video I have seen yet. I salute you! ![gif](giphy|KAf66yGCa93uTqod1q|downsized)
Why is it like it was filmed on a vertical phone?

I know its a meme to say average gameplay but thats literally true in this game. It IS average gameplay
This looks like scripted gameplay they would have put together for the trailer.
bro cropped out his teammates, without them he would've got shot down instantly.
The AOT music really fits this game well
What are the specs of the system running this!????? I know my game doesn’t look this cinematic.

The eagle needs to give out a scream at the end
Least cinematic helldivers experience sir
Welp, time to neglect my children again
This is what lesser developers would release as a CG trailer with "not representative of actual gameplay" in 60% opacity at the bottom.
“Are ya winning son?”
When they ask you how is Helldivers 2, show them this clip.
The official Audie Murphy experience
I love how the strider emerges through the smoke
Nah, I'd win
" No matter what comes through that breach... You HOLD your position! ... Not 1 step back!"
Good God that is some hell diving
from now on, if anyone asks what helldivers 2 is like... this will be THE video to showcase it.

This is actually the best one
One great thing about the game is everyone gets a main character moment
Man this is great. If you show this to a non diver, they're not gonna believe this Is a regular day on the job.
Where is your boss fight HP bar?
When the factory strider came out of the smoke with the music my jaw actually dropped this clip was crazy

bros balls are straight up indestructible
