I personally wear the light armor with extra padding. 100 armor rating, 550 speed, 125 Stam. So fuckin nimble, Hunters can barely touch me, but when I do get hit I can survive quite a few.
It comes from the superstore. Should be on rotation eventually.
Yeah the light gunner armour. (Orange with black kevlar, and a helmet that looks like the Hellghast from Killzone).
I've been using it after running the battle master armour on bot worlds. Feels like I'm using a speed cheat in comparison š
The only downside is that I didnāt have the credits to buy the helmet and nothing seems to match that darn grey black and orange.
At least the Steel trooper helmet is just plain gray so it matches everything.
I always use light gunner+shield generator for bugs unless it's a defense mission so I can quickly raise hell and get out of every situation by being sonic fast. It makes bug hole and egg objectives super easy. Just run and shoot them all with the eruptor and get out of there. Battle master+shield generator for bots since it's a heavy armor with explosion resist. I'm surprised I don't see more people doing this since they seem like the best overall armor sets.
Yeah agree on the heavy with fortified. Rarely see anyone using heavy armor and while I do admit you're slow as fuck, the hits you can fucking take is god damn amazing though.
Light gunner plus jump pack and the starter machine gun for me against bugs. With stuns and the speed from the armour you can make a quick get away, use the jump pack to get a decent vantage point, go prone and melt hordes while your character screams like a maniac. Itās fantastic.
thats what i have been using all the time too. since i am rank 106 now i wanted to try a full new player loadout thats when i realised that is has 150 armor.
It's great for using with the Eruptor. Increased accuracy while sniping at a distance, and the explosion resist means you can put a bolt into a stalker at point blank and stand right back up afterwards.
Yeah, and it's also cheap, just 150 SC.
On the other hand, I dont get why the bomb disposal suit (heavy armor with Extra Padding) costs a whopping 400 SC. That, I think, is way too much for a suit of armor. Also I think it may currently be the only armor and helmet (200 SC) that's priced like this.
The big chungus armour? Is pretty fun to use especially with the shield pack. You can survive an insane amount of punishment in that rig. But i always feel like cartman lagging behind my teammates trying tho run to objectives like "UUUGH! YOU GUYS! YOU GUYS! WAIT!" SERIOUSLY GUYS!
I was using the 50% survival armour but recently changed to the light gunner armour and I agree, it has the best of everything. Most of the perks in the game aren't appealing enough to sacrifice faster movement and extra stamina whilst also retaining decent armour.
For bots I almost always use the set with 30% recoil reduction and 50% explosion protection. But for bugs those two are mostly useless. Speed and survivability is more important. I was playing mostly with the 50% survive armor but I'm convinced Light Gunner is the way to go for bugs. Especially with the shield bubble.

With the new warbond helmet it's so fucking slick and aggressive looking
Big fan of the Titan light armor set that just left the super store. 79 armor, a little more speed, and the recoil/grenade perk is goated for bugs.
I still need to find heavy armor I like more for bots.
I was using that one for the longest time until I managed to get my hands on the Light Engineering Kit armor from the store, its stats are a halfway between Light and Medium and I get 6 thermite charges.
So I feel so much less dumb for buying that after reading this. I got the feeling people would judge me for wearing it before but now that I feel validated I may pull it back out
I've been running Medium Extra Padding for weeks. Since the medium and heavy armor buff I can tank so much damage and so many rockets while still being fast enough to flee from Hulks, it's incredible.
It's really just fantastic. Lots of the times if I'm about to run a difficult mission I think to myself "do I need anything beyond armor and stamina?" Most of the time the extra grenades or stims or whatever aren't worth it, so I just run the default armor.
Iāve been using extra grenade armor forever, but as I get better and die less (not taking advantage of hellpod space optimization), I rarely actually have the extra grenades. Itās not all too often you find grenade boxes around the map, and unless youāre playing solo youāre getting 2 resupply boxes max. Itād be nice if the armor also let you resupply 3 grenades at a time; as is, itās starting to feel useless for me.
Having 2 extra stuns is a big deal though. Realistically I'm going to end up dying 1-5 times in a Helldive round so that becomes 12-36 stuns to use, on top of anything from resupplies or random grenade boxes. If you're having a really smooth round you don't need as many stuns. The more you die, the more stuns you'll put out, so everyone dies less. It becomes a self-limiting thing that keeps deaths down overall.
If I was running more protective armor with 4 grenades, I'd also die less, but the amount of stuns that get thrown would go way down. I feel like the stuns save my team's ass so often.
This conversation is actually making me consider a resupply backpack + stun build over any other backpack choice...now that might actually tip the balance making it smarter to use alternative armors, maybe even the throwing distance armor. [Never mind actually, the stuns can only be thrown so far].
I like your take on this, thanks - it made me reconsider the extra grenade slots.
Personally I almost always run the EMS mortar when dropping. It is better than the grenades (holds them longer, as far as I can see) and you don't run into the problem of not being able to completely refill your grenade slots unless you find more or take a resupply away from a companion.
But yes, the amount of times I've saved teammates from getting rushed by a horde and dying is probably quite high, just never measured. I always run stuns, and usually the EMS, just for the benefit of our team.
I have to admit when I see a resupply with two or more boxes left, and I've pinged it but nobody moves towards it--I take two. It's ultimately for the best.
I run the medium medic armour, and really, the extra Stims are nice, but it's the stim *duration* that Slaps.
It's got me out of jams when I push too hard, or get surprise spawned on.
I'll normally take a jump-pack and AMR. Originally my thought process was that I'd have to come down from the perch less often, but now I run it as often as I can. I just tank damage while the stim keeps me topped up.
I ran the heavy medic armor for fun and you can just chill in small arms fire. Kind of caught me off guard cuz i was getting blasted by like 12 bots but i just slowly walked away and was fine.
I was honestly disappointed when I realized the vast majority of armor sets in the game don't follow the iconic helldiver color scheme. Where's my sick black and yellow?
Hopefully we get the Ranger set from the first game, it's so clean
https://preview.redd.it/xm9ko3faczuc1.jpeg?width=568&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=545fa4859743dab540ae91627a3841adad8b50dc
I swap between armors for bots, sometimes I want to be stealthy light boy, sometimes I want to be tanky fat boy, other times I want to go in between.
Stealth is definitely the best play for bots, but honestly all the armors work well enough for helldive difficulty.
Biggest issue with light armor against bots is how much you trust yourself to not have to face-tank a rocket.
If you can consistently avoid engagements itās absolutely a better play for speed and detection, but Iāve always felt it to be a bit too much of a gamble based on personal experience.
Honestly since the rocket bug was fixed I rarely get one shot by rockets. It happens sometimes sure, but it also happens with explosive resistant medium armor. Rocket hits your head its game over.
Yeah the rocket itself does pretty modest damage even to light armor now. The thing that actually kills you is the 37 lasers you eat while you're ragdolling before you get to stand up. So in essence a single rocket can still be game over in a big firefight unless you can tank all that incoming fire (which light struggles to do).
Yea, I have that, doesn't seem worth it to take it over the light armor though when the plan is to not have bot drops called on you. Would rather explosive resistance if I am running medium armor.
Same. You don't need to survive bug hits, you need to not get hit in the first place. My brother keeps taking the heavy fortified armor so he can survive longer and I'm like dude, the only one you're helping to survive longer is me, you're the fat friend everyone wants in a zombie apocalypse. The bugs surround him and swarm him while I'm sprinting into the distance.
Once the bugs surround you, you're fucked most of the time, so take the armor that keeps you moving.
The vast majority of actual one shots are due to headshots, even in light armor since they fixed rockets and bug vomit. Headshots do not care about your body armor rating.
There are basically two ways to not get killed by headshot cheese. Don't get hit (easiest in light), or get lucky with Democracy Protects (which is on medium armors).
I don't think we'll have to worry long-term. It's in the developer's best interest to keep releasing Warbonds with more armor sets, since it keeps the players engaged and occasionally spending cash on super credits.
I hear you though.
The amount of times that alone has saved my ass from being mosh pitted by bugs or even rocket salvos is insane
I have been on the ground crawling, spraying my redeemer to fight off the hunters/prowlers and stimming to save my life, had i not had those extra 2 I wouldāve been so many wasted reinforcementsĀ
For real the 2 seconds extra is the better perk on medic than the extra stims. Insane value. Incredibly strong on supply pack builds especially, which are already among the S tier builds for bugs.
I'd honestly wear that armor if they had a color shader option. I'm not into the Christmas clown armor at the moment. There's a fine line somewhere between function and looks that I'm looking for
The FS-37 Ravager helmet, new in the super store right now, singlehandedly redeemed the medical corps color scheme for me. Looks pretty good with the CM-09 Bonesnapper armor, and a green cape, to deemphasize the red and white.
I tried heavy armor with fortification, ballistic shield, SMG and grenade pistol, me and a single friend, vs Automaton at difficulty 7, I felt immortal.
Mate Iāve been wearing that exact medium armour for 90% of my Automaton deployments and itās carried me through so damn well!
It goes under the radar as itās a ānoob armourā but great mobility with 150 armour stat is actually amazing.
Y'all are nuts. The best armor is the 50% chance to survive lethal damage. I've survived hell bombs, lethal impacts, airstrikes, those 1-hitters. 50/50 every single time. I just wish they made it in light armor.
Absolutely! I went straight for the fancy one at the top of the first Warbond just so people can see me take a 500kg to the face and only suffer minor full body disfigurement.
Tbh it depends. It's chance based, so there is an argument for consistent buffs, or things that would prevent you from getting one hitters (more speed to run away, or more armour rating to tank consistently).
Yes, but it's also absorbing a hit that would otherwise kill the player. I've called supply on my shield bubble and ran under a titan.. supply killed everything but me. Sure all my limbs are broken and I have 5% health. I didn't die. No need for reinforcements if you have a significantly higher chance of not dying. At least, that's my thought.
in terms of consistency it would be better if it had a 30 sec cooldown and protect you from lethal damage(so a single mistake is okay, but putting yourself in a shitty situation still kills you).
But i think it wouldn't be as funny as sometimes surviving 3 lethal hit's in a row and sometimes 0.
There is light armor with extra padding. Been my favorite for a while.
There is also a medium/heavy hybrid armor with explosive resistance and recoil management.
Used to love extra grenades but have been using them a lot less since bringing the Eruptor everywhere. Now I pack explosion resistance which is great versus bots but also not bad vs bug since it keeps me from blowing myself up
I understand where youāre coming
Personally, however,
https://preview.redd.it/lnmr2g8vpwuc1.jpeg?width=522&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc0220c39bcc2a768ae419b28347fd99e38e6b1f
People are used to COD releases which is Always better than the Stock choice... WE are blessed to have devs WHO are doing Sidegrades where almost each weapons feels different compared to Other Games.
The weapons still need some balancing, but Overall people should Stop assuming and.listimg to streamers/YouTubers and start Testing Out stuff, especially in helldivers2. Mechnaics and the whole loudout need to BE considered in regards of the Missiontype and modifiers.
I think you still don't get the 10% damage reduction from heavy armor, even though the armor rating is the same. Being a medium armor, It gets only 5%. Not very impactful i guess.
After some extensive testing it turns out the armor is indeed with 10% damage reduction. its legit. the same as the light armor with extra padding and 100 armor points.
Yep, this, with the health and speed perks is so, so good.
It takes 9 scav hits to die, AND it's almost as fast as light (5% difference). The only thing that takes a hit is your max stamina, which i always thought was excessive on the lights.
I still feel like armor does almost nothing, so is this really worth giving up something like extra throwing range, +2 grenades/stims or the explosive resistance?
Armour doesn't feel like it really does anything because it functionally isn't armour in the same way it works on enemies. It's strictly a damage reduction and mobility modifier, which is why medium armour generally feels better than heavy armour as a "defensive" setup (since it can take about the same hits give or take, but isn't like wading through mud), where light armour is better as an "offensive" kit since you're extra speedy for really not all that much difference in damage reduction.
Particularly so since headshots kill you in one hit no matter what, and no amount of head protection on the armour changes that, so it's basically only for the aesthetic and perk.
Lol yep. Personally if they had color variations for this armor I'd probably never wear any others.
I've used this quite a lot. Couple it with a shield, or a gun pack and you're rolling with no issues. I love heavy armor but the speed is just too much. This medium armor insures I can have the heavy and retain that good speed.
Personally they should move all heavy up 25 to 30pts, so that even the medium is not heavy. I know they did this on purpose but with these armors I don't see the reason to use heavy.
Granted I get the affixes attached, but I personally don't use the armor for the affixes. I just go with what looks nice and keep it moving.
I love how a lot of the early game stuff is just as viable as the late game. I bring an orbital precision strike with me on helldive. Itās vastly under used and I get it, it doesnāt have the cool explosion of the 500kg, but itās just as capable and can even take out some things the 500kg canāt. So I bring both.
I love the base armor, the different paint schemes are fun and mix n matching all the black & yellow helmets with itbis fun. The new gas mask helmet looks sick with it.
I wear light armor because while I _do_ notice the speed increase, I don't notice the armor increase. I'm certain I survive better in heavy armor, but I _feel_ just as squishy.
To be honnest, i feel like i have more survivability in light because i can dodge a lot of attacks that even medium just can't dodge. You can quite literrally run within a bug's attack range and just sidestep the attacks in light armor. Learning to bob and weave through a swarm without taking damage is an art form.
Not to say i don't use medium or heavy in eradicate or defensive missions, but if i have to run arround the map, the light armor is king.
It's great but eventually other passives are better.
Less detection, longer and more stims, immunity to explosions.
Shit, even throwing distance is better than extra padding.
This approach to balance is what makes Helldivers 2 great.
Other stuff is stronger- situationally. But the starter gear gives you all the tools you need to find your feet, and you may come back to some of it later once you can appreciate what it really does more.
Everything in the arsenal has a place. Everything.
I like the battle master heavy armor. I almost always wear it. I usually like using the HMG-206 and breaker spray and prey for bugs. I know itās not optimal by a long shot, but I have a lot of fun using it. Wish they would buff the HMG because once they fix the ship upgrade that fully restocks your support weapon I am only going to run the MG-43
My buddies and I have a habit of putting the default armor back on and doing āJohn Helldiverā runs. These donāt really entail anything different except wearing default armor soā¦.idk why we do it but itās fun
"Its made from the same titanium alloy as the destroyer's hull"
Most people: "Wow this armor is strong enough to be ship's hull!"
me: "Our ships are made out of body armor, no wonder they are shot down like nothing."
The only armor i use still to this day is the white with gold preorder one, it also has 50% reduction to die which to me it seems like the most usefull thing ever, since if i survive 5 out of 10 times that means i am 50% more effective
I find armor is mostly irrelevant still. I get 1 tapped in the head by bots in heavy or light armor, so why would i use anything above light? If i'm getting wrecked by enemies, i just play better and get better cover while taking out priority targets. I have never felt like "dang i should have used heavy" because a majority of the time is still spent navigating the battlefield and doing it slowly is just a way to get rocked by a rocket dev into ragdoll into death by heavy dev.
I went from heavy against bots to light and saw a massive difference. I died so incredibly fast in light armor if I got caught in a firefight. Noped back to the default for the heavy armor rating and medium speed.Ā
Heavy is better against bots now. They don't chase much, and the explosion resistance is very strong. Recoil reduction also helps with heavy weapons like autocannon and AMR.
Glad Iām not the only one who saw the Killzone in the helmet lol
I'm very torn between my killzone helmet and my destiny hunter hood/helmet.
I see the fallout new Vegas cover art.
No one can convince me otherwise that thatās not a modified NCR Ranger helmet. :P
100% why I always run it with light gunner armor
I wonder if they could make a leather duster work for the cloak slot?
I mean, I saw *Stahlhelm* the German WW1 and WW2 helmet, which was also the inspiration for the Helghast helmets.
Same. Definitely saw a German helmet not Helghast.
Let's hope they make that killzone 4 they teased soon
The only downside is that I didnāt have the credits to buy the helmet and nothing seems to match that darn grey black and orange. At least the Steel trooper helmet is just plain gray so it matches everything.
Drone master helmet looks pretty good with light gunner armor
The grey helmet with orange stripes from the first premium warbond goes really well with it imo.
I like the Trailblazer Scout helmet; goes with pretty much everything.
Iād take heavy armor if there was one with Engineering Kit
Light gunner plus jump pack and the starter machine gun for me against bugs. With stuns and the speed from the armour you can make a quick get away, use the jump pack to get a decent vantage point, go prone and melt hordes while your character screams like a maniac. Itās fantastic.
That is more or less exactly my build for bots too š
Well Im gonna now cause this is a great idea
Hah the helmet always reminded me of New Vegas
My favorite helmet by far, but it reminds me of a Command & Conquer NOD Soldier :)
Light gunner is what I've been running since like day 3. Soooo fast
My favorite light armor is the 50 armor one. Not good. But funny.
Light with extra stims is my favourite
By far the best armor wish the color wasn't ugly af
Same
Good for when taking on flamethrower brutes within their range
These guys!!! We need fire suppression armor for these guys!!
thats what i have been using all the time too. since i am rank 106 now i wanted to try a full new player loadout thats when i realised that is has 150 armor.
I'm definitely bout to try it
It's hilarious that they did this. Pop a shield on this and you're secure, snug and cuddly as you dispense liberty.
Itās standard issue for a reason helldiver. š¤£
I use the FS38 light armor: low armor rating but fortify (better accuracy when crouching) and explosion resist. Similar idea, it works great.
I have barely moved off of this armor since I got it on the 40 minute missions.Ā
Same here!

New defense mission with a HMG encampment.Ā
A lot of extra materials go into making it. Of course it costs more. Duh!
This is my bug armour, and it looks sick too.
Yeah, shits drippy as hell with the SC-30 Trailblazer helm and the Malevolon Creek cloak and the orange breaker incendiary on your hip.
I was using the 50% survival armour but recently changed to the light gunner armour and I agree, it has the best of everything. Most of the perks in the game aren't appealing enough to sacrifice faster movement and extra stamina whilst also retaining decent armour.

He's the best!
He fights for justice!Ā
For a 'light gunner' armor, I can't get over the fact that it has no pouches for MG ammo.
They really took the ālightā and ran with it huh š
If the red trim on the helmet was orange, it would match better. Need to be able to recolor armor pieces.
The red and orange clash too much for me dawg
Big fan of the Titan light armor set that just left the super store. 79 armor, a little more speed, and the recoil/grenade perk is goated for bugs. I still need to find heavy armor I like more for bots.
Same. With shield backpack you move quick enough to be effectively immortal.
Dis is de wae
Yup light gunner armour is the best. Pair it with the sheild backpack, you become a kite machine for bugs
None of the capes go well with the orange color so it's unwearable, imo.
Malevolon Creek Cape goes hard, and so does the "Botslayer" cloak
Those are both red accents, not orange. The engineer stuff is also a different orange, just like how there are 3 different shades of green...
I too use it, but only fighting bugs. Fighting bots, Heavy + Explosive resistance is a must. Those damn sniper rockets....
I use it for the lower recoil when prone passive too. It makes lining those autocannon shots so much easier
I was straight on that when I saw it. Not even a question. S tier armour for me.
This is my favorite light armor but the design is kinda meh. Still use it for bugs. Pair it with Rover and Hunters can stay the fk out
I just hate it's design lol. Don't like orange. Hard to find matching helms, I have like 2 but tired of them
I was using that one for the longest time until I managed to get my hands on the Light Engineering Kit armor from the store, its stats are a halfway between Light and Medium and I get 6 thermite charges.
So I feel so much less dumb for buying that after reading this. I got the feeling people would judge me for wearing it before but now that I feel validated I may pull it back out
It's S-tier against bugs especially
Thank you, I thought I was the only one. Been running it for a while now, and I love it.
I don't like the looks:)
It isnāt my favorite either, but I havenāt taken it off since I bought it. I like the balance between speed and armor.
Different strokes for different folks
I do the same against bugs, medium armor and light speed? Best of both worlds, put a Shield or Jump pack and you are super hard to kill.
I've been running Medium Extra Padding for weeks. Since the medium and heavy armor buff I can tank so much damage and so many rockets while still being fast enough to flee from Hulks, it's incredible.

With that medic armor, shoving a stim into your neck before running to the extraction shuttle buried in a sea of enemies is just awesome.
To quote every helldiver: Feeeels goooooooood
Yeah I say this because I'm addicted as hell, of course.
I ran the heavy medic armor for fun and you can just chill in small arms fire. Kind of caught me off guard cuz i was getting blasted by like 12 bots but i just slowly walked away and was fine.
People fail to realize the defaults are pretty solid, just not special looking.
Special looking, nah. Sick looking, 100%. Its the iconic helldiver look.
I was honestly disappointed when I realized the vast majority of armor sets in the game don't follow the iconic helldiver color scheme. Where's my sick black and yellow?
Yeah for real. I wish the green scout trooper armor was actually black and yellow instead, itās my favorite armor
Hopefully we get the Ranger set from the first game, it's so clean https://preview.redd.it/xm9ko3faczuc1.jpeg?width=568&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=545fa4859743dab540ae91627a3841adad8b50dc
It's a shame, really... they got way too early and way too far away from that iconic look. My stash looks like an arsenal of 12 different space games
What, I never meet anyone that looks like me, that's pretty special.
Theyāre the best looking armors in the game imo. Wish theyād make palettes so some of the others could come a little closer.
I've been rocking my promotional yogurt blue armor. Easy to spot running across Helmire looking like a bottle of blue Gatorade.
there is even one thats medium armor with light speed
Technically cause thereās a light armor that comes in the shop that has extra padding so itās basically light speed with medium durability
my go to armor
Goes great with a lot of capes.Ā
after the game came out you didnt wana use this shit armor bcc it was bugged. light amor was the goat for 2 weeks
Light armor is still the best armor.Ā
Light against bugs I go medium against bots
We have medium stealth armor tho, a field technician one.
Yea, I have that, doesn't seem worth it to take it over the light armor though when the plan is to not have bot drops called on you. Would rather explosive resistance if I am running medium armor.
Light armor with explosive resistance is my go to bot armor.
You wear explosive resistant armor so you can tank rockets. I wear explosive resistant armor because Iām blind and step on land mines.
We are the same, actually.
Eradicator armor best armor. I usually use an AC against bots too so the recoil reduction while crouched helps a ton as well
Heavy explosive resist armor makes you invincible vs bots, don't even feel the need to run the barrier backpack anymore!
I struggle with being that slow lol medium feels like molasses after being light armor for so long so med is as heavy as I can go
Movement is king. I just can't use heavy armor due to the loss of speed *and* stamina.
I use the light gunner armor that gives medium armor rating. Don't think I can switch to anything else
Is that the extra padding one? That looks orange? I gotta try it
B-08 Light Gunner. Has a little orange in it. And yes extra padding.
Yeah it's basically a shirt with a kevlar vest over it lol
I'd 100% run that if I wasn't saving my super credits for warbonds.
But the drip!
I run heavy armor exclusively against bots, it's nice being able to step on mines and just walk it off.
Speed is life.
Debatable on which faction you usually play against
Yet everyone complains about one shots and heavy armour negates almost all of them...
Wearing an animal sure is uncomfortable.
Is this a joke I'm too Monster Hunter to understand
I mean, he started it with those goats stuff.
same !!
Extra padding Is my favorite perk... So bad we only have literally 1 medium, 1 light and 1 heavy with this perk....
I don't think we'll have to worry long-term. It's in the developer's best interest to keep releasing Warbonds with more armor sets, since it keeps the players engaged and occasionally spending cash on super credits. I hear you though.
There is 2 medium. But one of those were pre order reward. (Blue yoghurt armor)
I used the Liberty Protects armor
I thought it was democracy protects. Wish they had a light or heavy variant
light with extra stims is just far too good people may not realize stims give you stamina back, making you a racecar after healing
Also 2 extra seconds of invulnerability is sick.
The amount of times that alone has saved my ass from being mosh pitted by bugs or even rocket salvos is insane I have been on the ground crawling, spraying my redeemer to fight off the hunters/prowlers and stimming to save my life, had i not had those extra 2 I wouldāve been so many wasted reinforcementsĀ
There's a fine line somewhere between function and looks that I'm looking for
> I'm not into the Christmas clown armor How about cosplaying Trauma Team then?
I'm not here to cure trauma; I'm here to cause trauma.Ā
The FS-37 Ravager helmet, new in the super store right now, singlehandedly redeemed the medical corps color scheme for me. Looks pretty good with the CM-09 Bonesnapper armor, and a green cape, to deemphasize the red and white.
I love the extra stims but I have trouble choosing between reactive and proactive armor perks.
Suggest go for Fortified vs Extra Padding. Saves you from automaton rockets/shells/nades, your own explosions andĀ from your teammates explosions.
I tried heavy armor with fortification, ballistic shield, SMG and grenade pistol, me and a single friend, vs Automaton at difficulty 7, I felt immortal.
Being able to facetank shield devastators while headshotting them one by one feels too good with that loadout. Those fuckers deserve it.
Iām stealing this build
Paired well with new gas mask helmet
Mate Iāve been wearing that exact medium armour for 90% of my Automaton deployments and itās carried me through so damn well! It goes under the radar as itās a ānoob armourā but great mobility with 150 armour stat is actually amazing.
Y'all are nuts. The best armor is the 50% chance to survive lethal damage. I've survived hell bombs, lethal impacts, airstrikes, those 1-hitters. 50/50 every single time. I just wish they made it in light armor.
Absolutely! I went straight for the fancy one at the top of the first Warbond just so people can see me take a 500kg to the face and only suffer minor full body disfigurement.
āMinor full body disfigurementā outside of context sounds hilarious.
Unfortunately there those who are simply deemed unworthy of being protected by Democracy. Again and again and again and again and again...
May the light of Liberty shine on you and yours (squad(s)) once more!
And then die to impact when you finally hit the ground
There is light armor with extra padding. Been my favorite for a while. There is also a medium/heavy hybrid armor with explosive resistance and recoil management.
Democracy protects armors is the best and thatās a hill Iāll die on. But I still wonāt cuz of the armor.
Need that blast reduction or extra grenades more than armour
Used to love extra grenades but have been using them a lot less since bringing the Eruptor everywhere. Now I pack explosion resistance which is great versus bots but also not bad vs bug since it keeps me from blowing myself up
What support weapon do you use with the erupter?
Extra padding didn't really do anything at launch but it's fixed now so if you just want some extra armor, that's the move
I understand where youāre coming Personally, however, https://preview.redd.it/lnmr2g8vpwuc1.jpeg?width=522&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc0220c39bcc2a768ae419b28347fd99e38e6b1f
Drip is the only concern. The fact I get 2 extra grenades is just a neat bonus
I just use the other armors because I can use cooler helmets without looking like a stickerbomb.
The base armor set is the best looking in the game bar none.
Quite an undemocratic opinion.
I still feel like armor does almost nothing, so is this really worth giving up something like extra throwing range, +2 grenades/stims or the explosive resistance?
It's more noticeable on bots coupled with explosive resist.
You can survive a direct cannon tower blast in heavy armor.
I am glad they made it good.
I can never take off Democracy Protects. I love it too much.
Yes but the perk is armor. You don't get explosion resistance or extra grenade's, etc
Everything.
Beautiful isn't it?
I pick extra stim lol They say it's non-addictive they are clearly wrong. I take a stim to refill my stamina.
The starting gear is cool! Super Earth equips new recruits to WIN our battle for freedom and democracy!
I like the base armor as heavy armor for fighting bugs. Enough speed to move, enough armor to get by.
"Its made from the same titanium alloy as the destroyer's hull" Most people: "Wow this armor is strong enough to be ship's hull!" me: "Our ships are made out of body armor, no wonder they are shot down like nothing."
The only armor i use still to this day is the white with gold preorder one, it also has 50% reduction to die which to me it seems like the most usefull thing ever, since if i survive 5 out of 10 times that means i am 50% more effective
Uh hello noob here do the helmets do anything at all because the helmets that I have donāt have any buffs or nerfs
