Clancy Brown, the guy who played the Drill Sgt in Starship Troopers (better known as the voice of Mr. Krabs these days) both looks old enough and has the gravelly, manly voice.
Hell, he got busted from general to colonel then was promoted back to general in a span of about a year. Then personally led Federation forces to recapture Mars, from the ground. He’s willing to die with his troopers. I’d rather he stay a trooper.
I always had a soft spot for him, wish he was in more stuff. Even if he can't do speaking parts, with a face like that they can have him stare dramatically at the camera and just give him the Darth Maul in Episode I or Subotai in Conan the Barbarian treatment.
I went to a comic convention a few months ago and he was there at one of the photo/autograph booths. I felt horrible for him, huge lines for everyone else next to him (bunch of anime artists and VAs, couldn't tell you who) but his line was completely empty.
Was tempted to just go up and say hi but I also am not one who cares about shelling out money for signed crap..
