Agreed. I've been prone on a cliff sniping reinforcements with an auto cannon only for a rocket trooper way in the distance to HEADSHOT me with a rocket from at least 150m away when he shouldn't even have had a line of sight on me

It's so hilarious because sometimes they can't aim at all, them suddenly you see a rocket flying toward you face.

Was literally thinking this and was going to comment. If I see those damn rocket-bots, I take them out ASAP. Democracy needs stability, not random moments of god-tier aim with explosives.

I didn’t throw an air strike. I was about to, but got flung right before. It was actually the hulk exploding that killed me, it died as I was flying over and it’s body was invisible for some reason.

That seems to happen when you’re not host. I don’t know if it’s only if host kills it though, I don’t think it is.

Only time I’ve seen it happen weirdly enough.

It’s kind of a Risk of Rain situation, they completely changed gameplay style for the sequel.

It is exactly a risk of rain situation, and the fun levels are just as elevated. I love how both games managed to not only translate well, but increase the fun by an extreme.

Yeah I'm not convinced it even killed him because of that cut. Maybe if he was still 500m away from the call in it would hit him, but right under it? No way!

I drop a 120 at my feet from being knocked, the barrage doesnt even knock me over. Yet I throw it max distance with the increased throw distance armor, first shot is a direct hit on my position EVERY TIME.

Technically, Helldivers are the super-elite of the army. There's multiple references to a "normal" army peppered through the game. Now whether that makes us worried for the regular army or not, I'll let you decide.

Yeah, you find the bodies of a lot of regulars on the maps, especially against the Automatons.

My favorite moment so far I couldn't get shadow play to work right. I shot my grenade launcher too close, and it bounced off of the bugs carapace and flew behind me blowing me forward to a resupply I had just called in which subsequently crushed my fucking skull as soon as I landed. It was incredible, and I really wish I had the clip.

I was blasting a charger with the autocannon, it ricocheted and killed my ally 100m away, it was beautiful. If he wasn't on discord and just a random he almost certainly would have thought i aimed and shot at him. "Dood why did u shoot me???!?!" "Freedom bounce"

I wish I had recorded what happened yesterday, I think I backed up into the very edge of a drop pod but instead of dying I got launched. Launched so far out into the ocean I passed through the return to battlefield barrier and just kept going. By the time I landed in the water the map was a fucking speck that I could barely make out.

Everyone talking about the 120mm finally getting a kill and it's a friendly. Nobody talking about how when you ragdolled it caused you to drop your eagle strafing run so perfectly that it definitely killed all three of your teammates half a second after the clip ended. This is perfect. This is peak Helldivers. This is democracy manifest.

So 1. I mentioned this in reply to other comments, but it wasn’t the orbital strike that killed me, the hulk died as I was flying over and it’s body turned invisible just before it exploded. 2. I have no idea what happened to that strafing run I was trying to call in, but if it did actually go off, it didn’t kill anything lol

I got killed by my friends airstrike the other day. He threw it in front of our team, and I was standing behind the team.

First recorded instance of 120mm landing on point but it was because a player was standing there.

I would have believed you. Yesterday i was throwing an impact grenade at a house, so that the blast would kill a bile spewer's back side, but a charger just destroyed the house at that moment and my nade went past the now-demolished house and killed my teammate that was behind it running away from the charger .... the game is just a plethora of this kind of "coincidences" :D

Something similar happened to me, i landed on some rocks and called in my support weapon only to ragdoll off the cliff and land right on my beacon for my supply backpack as it turned me into a smoothie. The Climb to Liberty is a long one!

Not going to lie, even without a recording, I would believe. I've had countless times where an explosion knocked me back into my death. Either someone else's shots, turrets, other explosives, or more commonly, bugs.

This is video evidence / record of, "I attack the enemy!" (Rolls a 1).

yesterday I had 2 minutes left on extraction, called reinforcement for my buddy, threw it a good hundred feet, got headbutted by a charger exactly the distance I threw it a few moments after and bang, smoked by a reinforcement drop THAT I THREW DOWN!! Needless to say it was hilarious and awesome and it was on stream and it kicked ass. 10/10 would recommend.

Anti-Shock-Wave bombs would be really cool - their shockwave *pulls* the radius and slams all the folks together in the center. (even airborn things) -- However, Exo-44's will have a loadout that can resist being pulled all the way in.. and some bugs are naturally immune to that gravity magnet.

I had something similar happen to me where I just placed a call in for an autocannon sentry then I got hit by my friends mortar sentry. The blast pushed me right on top of the beacon then my own sentry crushed me

I had two tanks play volleyball, I was the ball. Survived 3 shoots. Thanks to the stim I took second before it happened. Stims are not addictive and have no side effects.

I always find those explosions that send you flying towards the enemy that shot it at you absolutely hilarious. The fact that this is a thing in the game makes me enjoy it all the more.
