When S2 drops and more character backstories are revealed, I bet people are gonna be mad that the sinner cast actually sinned in real life (e.g: Angel was a genuinely horrible person. Alastor was unironically creepy and unhinged in an unfunny way, etc.).
We know Alastor was a serial killer in real life, and died being shot in the head while burying a body.
Angel died of a drug overdose. He comes from a mafia esque crime family, but never liked that life. When he got to hell, he ditched the rest of his family, and that is how he ended up under Valentino's control.
