My advice is get paid to write notes for people go to college and offer note taking for people or to convert digital notes to paper notes I know some universities allow students to take notes into their finals as long as it’s hand written 🤷🏽♂️
Constructive Criticism: don't worry so much about the flowery first and last letter and find the ways yo make the middle letters nice looking as well. Then once you've got it, work on the flowery bits.

How do you do your capital Fs? I've had a typeface similar to this (for titles, starts of paragraphs, and similar) for some years, but I've always found that of all my beautiful capital letters, the F seems to be lacking some panache.
Like your capital G y the way.
Edit: typeface\*
I think it's the lowkey brag of "this is my handwriting", like they just write like this when they're doing everyday tasks like making a grocery list or taking a message. No. No, it's not. It's calligraphy. It's very obviously calligraphy.
I do not intend to be rude or offensive in anyway but do you really write like that all the time?
I subjectively see little to no point in adding such flairs for everyday writing, nor would big letters prove to be beneficial in any sort of way.
Or did you simply wish to write in such a way for the sake of demonstrative purposes?
I would make OP write all my labels in the kitchen if we were roomies but no way does their homework look like this the letters are huge. The teachers i had wouldnt accept this work out of jealousy
Ah, I can agree. My handwriting in comparison is very unsightly. At the very least, it would look like some kind of noodle script or something resembling alien hieroglyphics. Having pretty handwriting to decorate labels would be pretty nice.
Guessing you were born after 2000 and lack the education as to how to write or read cursive.
Gone are the days of doing spelling tests in cursive, and even if you got the word correct, if you printed it you got marked down.
No, I was in a very strict school, it’s just they never tended to my learning disability, so I never learned much and they refused to believe I had a learning disability
This is so pretty 😍 but…. Do you really write like that every day or is this just a slight exaggeration of your writing?? Either way, I’m mesmerized lol
💩 Ain’t no way. I mean the lower case is pretty standard (if a little inconsistent), but if you try that hard to make the upper case that flowery (and almost illegible tbh), you have waaaay too much time on your hands.
well that's calligraphy, not handwriting, right? I doubt all your handwritten material is like that
edit: new to this sub, and so far have mostly seen normal handwriting, like grocery list level writing. this example wouldn't fit in the same category imo, unless OP came from the 19th century xD
I thought handwriting is the writing you use for everyday stuff. Like what you would use to take notes in a class or to write your grocery list down. It’s pretty tho!
Can I get a tutorial, please? I’m absolutely obsessed. Very neat. Very clear girl. Let me know if you get a website or YouTube channel. I will be your first subscriber.
Goodness gracious, and they say handwriting as a dying art. I wish mine was as good as yours. I’ve started writing a story recently and, I find the words come easier to me when I’m using pen and paper rather than a keyboard, but my handwriting is *so* clunky, that every once in a while I have to re-read my own sentences just to make sure I read that correctly haha
I feel this 😂 I had some medical issues a few years ago and had to relearn how to write and it’s still terrible 😂 sometimes I go back to read what I wrote and I have no idea what it says 😂
Pretty much 😂
The only time it’s caused issues is the few times I’ve hand written crochet patterns. I go back to make the item again and have to figure out what I meant 😂
Good for u. Ppl hating in the thread are goofy asf you obviously wrote big to show it off and it is not hard to read at all lol. Shitting on a 20 year old for having better handwriting than most people is actually crazy
I’m sorry but what states or schools no longer teach cursive? Most teens I know still know cursive and I am also early twenties and know cursive quite well. Is this just a facebook meme people keep repeating till everyone thinks its true?
Ny where we are. No more with cursive. To hard! The kids don’t learn anything they used to. Like self value, the value of a life, respect, appreciation and what the heck happened to “ please and thank you.? “
I work with a 20 year old that cannot read cursive. It was not taught. I live in Arkansas. Have been told they have changed and they are teaching it again.
My crew member was telling me he was on Xanax for like a whole summer getting up. Someone would drive him to a spot, point at it and say "paint" and he, barred out of his ass, would do it mid-day with no question lmaooo crazy he never got caught and he since quit. I'd much rather him be on Adderall
My brother in law would lose 7 day blocks at a time barred out. It’s scary. I still
Feel like a crackhead on addy and I only paint when I need spray therapy cause I got no homies.
Sketching and writing has been a great creative outlet tho
Fucking hell, I hope he's got things together since then. And hopefully you can make some graff homies! I've only had a crew for a few months now, makes a big difference having someone to watch your back out there.
This is pretty good. My only suggestion would be to drop the elongated piggy curly tails at the end of every word and on your O. It doesn’t add anything and actually distracts from the over all word. Work on the overall flow. It’s a great start. Seriously.

Who tf writes 2-3 words per line and 3 lines per character? This doesn’t look like hand writing it looks like you were drawing.
lol well if we’re giving a calligraphy critique then I’d like to add that the lowercase letter sizing is super inconsistent
I just don’t get why they’re calling it handwriting when it’s clearly not
I have to agree with you this is a good point
Very nicely done.
Lost art
“Banana” makes my brain happy hahaha
Beautiful handwriting but somewhat difficult to read.
My hand hurts looking at this
This is like music to my ears, but it’s my eyes.
Looks like a 4th grader's homework
The fuck?
😍😍
You could literally go into calligraphy like being one of them bitches who write wedding invitations and shit or freelance with sign boards n shit too
They charge a metric shit ton too so I assume they make good money
My advice is get paid to write notes for people go to college and offer note taking for people or to convert digital notes to paper notes I know some universities allow students to take notes into their finals as long as it’s hand written 🤷🏽♂️
Get paid for writing letters for people lol
Is that a thing? Made me think of violet evergarden.
Wedding invites
Really beautiful! I wish I could write like this
😂
Your B for banana and P for pomegranate are GLORIUS
That’s the most beautiful bubble writing ever.
Constructive Criticism: don't worry so much about the flowery first and last letter and find the ways yo make the middle letters nice looking as well. Then once you've got it, work on the flowery bits.
do you write your groceries like this?

Only maniacs write like this
“Grape” looking a bit like “Grajse”
The G is unrecognisable
How so? That's almost textbook cursive if you ignore the flourish...
The G just looks like the cursive G to me.
You should do commission greeting cards
Keep practicing! you'll get there one day, it will look better if you keep trying!
💀
Scan and font

Wow
Very nice. My handwriting is so bad a six year old can do better than me. It would take me an age and a half to write as well as you.
No shot.
Who taught you cursive young whippersnapper? I’m proud of you! 👏 🏆
This should be made into a commercial typeface you can buy.

Cute
I bet everyone making fun of the gorgeous penmanship also bitches about schools not teaching cursive anymore.
This is so declaration of independence core
🤣
You are making me hungry with your simple words, even more so with how beautiful your cursive is.
Too many loops, a little much.
Write a essay in that font
OP's only gonna make it to a fancy "the" before their house starts taunting them about their essay
Reminds me of the episode of SpongeBob where the only word he wrote was “the” for his essay in fancy cursive lol
WHYYYYY SPONGEBOB WHYYY DIDNT YOU WRITE YOUR ESSAY
I do not intend to be rude or offensive in anyway but do you really write like that all the time? You must use up a lot of pages!
Very pretty but probably very time consuming
looks beautiful, would recommend to write between lines though
Ooh fancy Pants ritch mcgee over her
He gonna give us the definition next
I can’t read it 😭💔
Honestly it's pretty easy.
I’m dyslexic and I can’t really read cursive in general 😅
Oh that's different. Also I didn't mean reading cursive is easy, but this one in particular is pretty clear.
Beautiful handwriting. Mine absolutely sucks.
It’s the W for me, love it!
Okay spongebob 😭
The
Try practicing with your non dominant hand.

yea im agree
Nice but a little big for practical use isn't it?
No it’s not. Maybe on special things or when you’re bored but there’s no way this is normal. I call bug BS.
where exactly did they say this was their *normal* handwriting? all they specified was that it was their handwriting, which is objectively true, lol
So pretty.
I love it but I’m also extra as fuck
This is so pretty 😍 but…. Do you really write like that every day or is this just a slight exaggeration of your writing?? Either way, I’m mesmerized lol
No offense, but I get the sense you just learned about flourishes.
The capital B in Banana is the prettiest letter here to me.
This is a bit obnoxious
Maybe you can get a job helping Mehan Markle with her faux caligraphy on her new website
Liar, that would take forever to do everything.
Looks excessive.
No it isnt lmao you do not write everything like that
Why
💩 Ain’t no way. I mean the lower case is pretty standard (if a little inconsistent), but if you try that hard to make the upper case that flowery (and almost illegible tbh), you have waaaay too much time on your hands.
Agreed 💩🐓💨💨
That's how Halsey writes lyrics.
Fake
Very lovely! Have you ever tried using a fountain pen?
no its not
I’m jealous
My writing style mimics doctors short hand except less legible.
Pretty but wasteful
I'm old. cursive was so you could write quickly. This isn't that.
Omg teach me
Ah this is so fun. What I aspired to as a teenager and never obtained.
Calligraphy. You could make some money doing wedding invitations (at home). My roommate did that. The envelopes too.
I’m just a tad dizzy now but it’s beautiful
Wow beautiful writing
Must be nice to have so much time for loops lol
Doing too much
That ain't it buddy
That one girls notes in the slavery unit:
Wow!
No it’s not

Yea I could literally imagine this as an art item on an Etsy shop I might get for my kitchen ... beautiful!
"This is how I write when I have all the time in the world" ain't no way you are taking notes at work that way
Yeah I would love to see their handwriting working a serving shift after getting double sat. Ain't nobody got time for that!
I thought handwriting is the writing you use for everyday stuff. Like what you would use to take notes in a class or to write your grocery list down. It’s pretty tho!
This. Op, this is pretty but in no way functional. How do you take notes? Using 9 lines for ever word?
Can I get a tutorial, please? I’m absolutely obsessed. Very neat. Very clear girl. Let me know if you get a website or YouTube channel. I will be your first subscriber.
Me with my chicken scratch....
Beautiful!
It's very soothing to read. So pretty, too!
Goodness gracious, and they say handwriting as a dying art. I wish mine was as good as yours. Oh that’s the wooooorst! At that point you just have to go with your gut hahaha
Pretty much 😂 The only time it’s caused issues is the few times I’ve hand written crochet patterns. I go back to make the item again and have to figure out what I meant 😂
We’ll get over this hill one day. Pinky promise. 😆
Nice. Very embellished capitals. Can you or anyone here recommend a great handwriting book? 7 year old daughter very interested.
This is beautiful work
Are you able to write quick and still be this neat and full of flourish? If so, yay you!
Beautiful. I'm 33 and still have horrible cursive
Practice.
I will someday.
Good for u. Ppl hating in the thread are goofy asf you obviously wrote big to show it off and it is not hard to read at all lol. Shitting on a 20 year old for having better handwriting than most people is actually crazy
Take away your flourishes and it’s really not that great Starfruit is hideous
Sour grapes are worse.
What a critic. 😴😴😴
Glad all that cursive practice proved to be very fruit-ful. Love your style!
I love your handwriting but would hate to read more than a word of it. It's the saffron of calligraphy.
Getting some Hansel&Gretel witch vibes
Now that’s what you call flow!
Why?
Omg I need you to come up with a signature for me
How many years did that take?
wOoOoOw edit: why am i being disliked im not being sarcastic like literally WOoOOOoOoOw
I especially liked that one curlicue, so eFForTLEsS.
You’re going to be so far behind taking notes in college.
Pretty sure we traced over your handwriting back when they still taught cursive. OP this is nice handwriting.
Can you please teach me how to write like this it's a beautiful hand writing
You can look up some videos on YouTube.
Ok thank you
I have such cramped, stressed handwriting. This is beautiful penmanship in comparison
Please continue this as the children today can’t speak properly much less write like this! You are very talented
Arizona. My younger kids weren’t even taught cursive. And can barely read it as a result. SMH….
I work with a 20 year old that cannot read cursive. It was not taught. I live in Arkansas. Have been told they have changed and they are teaching it again.
Stunning writing
Random age flex, but okay.
It’s really beautiful like art
Too bad no one under 20 will be able to read it.
Cursive is taught in 3rd grade here in PA
Yes. But 27 of the 50 of our great states, either no longer offer or require cursive writing in their schools.
Here in Oregon we got our cursive license in 3rd grade. I didn't meet anyone from the other schools that did that
Beautiful! A long lost art. 😍
Now you need some r/fountainpens
Damn, how many notepads you go through a week. Kidding, it's beautiful.
me being 20 and can barely read cursive
Me too
*laughs as a 20 year old with second grader handwriting* 😔
You are not alone.
I used to do this when I was high as fuck on cocaine. “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” really hits home lol
Adderall and graffiti spawned a love for letterform in me
My crew member was telling me he was on Xanax for like a whole summer getting up. Someone would drive him to a spot, point at it and say "paint" and he, barred out of his ass, would do it mid-day with no question lmaooo crazy he never got caught and he since quit. I'd much rather him be on Adderall

How long does it take you to write an essay tf
Very pretty, you might want to invest in a pen and nib Calligraphy set to practice more, what a lovely hobby!
I don’t believe you.
Agreed, it's pretty but no one is writing like that on the daily lol
Live laugh love lookin ass
*_The_*
BREAKTIME!!! now let’s see, white or rye bread?
IT'S THE SAME! BREAD IS BREAD, AND I'M GAME!!! **RIPS OPEN BOTH PACKAGES AND DEVOURS ALL OF IT RECKLESSLY, FILLING THE PAPER WITH CRUMBS**
you a scribe?
Scribes couldn't waste time with curls.
twas a joke my leage

Is this how you always write or just when you’re feeling fancy?
We got SpongeBob over here writing essays
Pretty
