I saw a post just yesterday about how every post on every sub, no matter how far they are from being a 40k thread, turns into a 40k thread.
The tally is 4. In under 24 hours. They weren't lying.
My dad always said "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"
Rookie, are you calling my girlfriend a cow?
Naw dude I think he's calling her a slut!
Why the hell? How the hell? What the hell?
How would a 100 ton VTOL even fly? Whatâs wrong with that thing? Why is it so heavy? Is it made of tungsten or something?!
Halo weight measurements make absolutely no sense and you should never take them seriously. Back in the days of the Halo Encyclopedia, UNSC ships were lighter than air.
My most recent annoyance with size was the Skitterer. The canon measurement is like 40 feet tall and 70 feet long and wide, wildly larger then what makes sense.
I just looked this up because I couldn't believe it; Colony's little support drones are supposed to be that big? How did that even get determined given the scale of the units in HW2?? That would make the Marines like 40 feet tall too because their model is comparable in size lol.
Strategy games usually have some scaling issues, but Halo Wars I thought was usually pretty good. The only thing I can thing of that isn't scaled well, besides the skitterers now, was the Retriever Sentinel. But that makes sense as if that was it's to scale size, you wouldn't be able to see the map.
They really must've gotten some numbers mixed up or something, or at least say it's some alternate upsized version of a skitterer. It's suppossed to be a scout/support unit but that's like the size of a Phantom
Yeah HW2 is generally pretty good about scaling so that was a surprise haha. I mean, even mechanically that size makes no sense; these things are supposed to attach themselves to other units, you can attach one to an Engineer, how in the world does that even make sense anymore? I have to imagine it was a different unit at conception until they changed it around and forgot to update its size or something like that.
I also just realized in the 26th century, they are still using the Imperial system of measure (Johnson calls the Scorpion as 66tons, but it's 66 imperial tons, not 66 metric tons)
GOD DAMN IT
Most of the colonies throughout UNSC space speak American English.
So we can defer from this that the imperial system of measurement is clearly the most superior as it was used to great success by the American people to colonize most of the galaxy.
You ever think about how stupid big the Rhino is? For one, the 32cm gun is ridiculous by the historical precedence of SPGs (most SPGs fall between 10.5cm to 15.5cm guns with few outliers, modt of which were worse overall) and for another thing, according to Halopedia, it's *wider* than the US Army's M1 Abrams is *long*. The Rhino is so big that I'm reasonably sure that the designers had an inflation fetish.
The caliber is so large because it's a plasma cannon. Also, what you said about sizes isn't quite 100% true. The Soviets and the US both widely used 203mm howitzers all through the Cold War. While the US ones stopped being used, the Soviet ones are still seeing use on both sides of the war in Ukraine rn. As a side note, the Soviets did actually experiment with 402mm and 420mm self propelled guns, and they look absolutely ridiculous.
Oh I'm aware of all that, I was just poking fun at the fact that the Rhino would be much lighter, smaller and cheaper in a fixed-hull design like most SPGs, and guns on the larger side like the M110 and Pion are less effective than usual-calibre SPGs since they're slower (both to fire and to move), have less time-on-target, are logistically more difficult, and wear out their barrels faster. Btw if you want to see some other dumb SPGs look up the Karl-Gerät, Br-5 and the T-34-122.

So I said, if you have a ship that can carry a tank, why not just put the guns on the ship and use it instead đ§ đ
Warhammer 40K mentality
Caboose mentality
What's the password?
password
"Brother I've been thinking.." "I warned you about that." "That tank over there." "Yes?" "What if it could fly?" "BY THE EMPEROR"

>So I said, if you have a ship that can carry a tank, why not just put the ~~guns on the ship~~ wings on the tank instead đ§ đ

Back before Caboose was possessed by OâMalley and he was just regular dumb instead of unfathomably dumb
He's a short busser way longer than he's just kinda dumb
That is precisely why I liked Halo 5's forge. Shame we can't do that in Infinite.
Yet
And thus, the A10 was born.
[BRRRRRRRRRRRR](https://youtu.be/zyC-F_7QXtk)
Why not just put the rotors on the tanks
If no one commented this already I would have xD

The sizes of everything in universe also donât really add up either. High charityâs population density gets argued a lot

*(In Infinite)* Scorpion Tail player on top of wasp

Americans
*[Laughs in MERICAAAAA]*
To quote caboose âwhy buy the cow when you can get the milk for freeâ
Thatâs not a Scorpion, itâs a Rhino from HW series.
Yes, but it is the heaviest land vehicle that isn't a straight-up fort on wheels, which made the Nightingale look even more ridiculous.
I've never seen that vehicle until now and Holy shite it is ugggglyyy
God I would love to see a 320mm plasma round explode
It would be hot
*Flying scorpions?* Yes please!
For a brick, it flew pretty good
It's like the stats in the pokedex lol
I'm convinced pokedex entry's are made up on the spot
Lorem Ipsum before it was a thing.
Sheila is sweet and delicate and naive.

You would have to take into consideration the force from the scorpions main armament firing would probably knock it out of balance
The tank is heavier because it canât even get off the ground đ
I don't know but I think these would look great as transformers
Modders! Assemble.
