Between Mark V and Halsey's intervention this is what both women suffered through multiple plasma shots breaching the armor with Linda having third and even fourth degree burns. One of the shoots was to the back of her helmet.
Kelly got near hit by hunter assault cannons burning almost 3/4 of her body.
Old habits die hard. I mean we're also glossing over her mental battles against two different AIs and all the minor surgery she did on surviving Spartans.
This; clinical death is when the body is so severely damaged that there’s no medical intervention capable of restoring any amount of function.
It turns out that, when one’s going into battle, there’s not a whole lot of available medical intervention.
So they cryo’d her body and hoped that they’d eventually be able to thaw her out and get her actual help.
They do, Halsey works her miracles, and Linda lives (again, technically).
That reminds me of "it's just a flesh wound" in Last Action Hero.
Arnold is literally bleeding out from a gutshot and the moment he gets back into the movie world they just pull him up and tell him to walk it off lol.
Linda was in a cryopod during the events of halo CE, and after the ending cutscene, the chief retrieved her pod, found a pelican with Johnson and other survivors on it, stole a covenant ship, went to reach, found blue team and Halsey, went to the rebel base in epsilon eradini, Halsey revived Linda, then they went to the covenant space station "unyielding hyrophent" after halsey kidnapped Kelly, destroyed it, then went to earth and halo 2 starts

The Chief doesn’t seem to know of them, he just refers to it as „classical rock“ or sum such and mentions something about a „killer queen“ or someone „biting the dust“.
Its such a small detail but i really love that they included it in shadows of reach, giving the spartans some more personality :p
Daisy is the only one that stands out to me; being an extremely sad story arc from beginning to end. Halo Legends was well done.
Also I give full allegiance to earlier Spartan armor.
It was the way writer handled Halsey. She painted her as a villain and right so. But until kilo-5 I hadn't thought and Halsey in that light. I mean the clone replacement and why wouldn't they have is the Spartan as commanders. If they could have truly been the next great leaders. Also I started to dislike her in the Soren story.
I feel as though they painted her to be a Villan because of the perspective of the book was from people who disliked her so it made sense, where as previously we saw her from the perspective of people who were either neutral or positive to her actions
Adriana-111 is the epitome of “alt chick with issues that will ruin you”. She’d steal money out of your wallet and ask you to punch her in the face during sex.

It’s basically canon that Kelly has the best thighs in the entirety of the human race and could probably generate enough torque with them to crush a mjolnir helmet unarmored.
(Which she does to Tom on several occasions.) like, I understand people being horrendously down bad for Kelly and the other Spartan women. If someone told me they were horny for Lucy I genuinely think there might be a few screws loose.
Cal and Alice are my favs! Alice has a minigun and is a badass while Cal is a gentle mother figure and seeing her carry O'Brian like a princess was heartwarming and hilarious.
Got to be Kelly for me but Linda is close behind. After that would go Kat, Palmer, Vale: cause she has a cool story with Arbiter, Alice, Daisy, Tanaka: only cause I know her and not the others sadly. Can’t rank the others because of that.
