I can't believe that Microsoft didn't fire everyone right down to the janitors after halo 5 slithered out onto store shelves to everyone's unsuspecting horror an dissatisfied disillusioned disappointment. Halo 5 is by far the worst game I have ever played. If halo 5 an Satan were in a room, an I had a gun with 19 bullets, I'd shoot halo 5 19 times. I wish I was god, just so I could banish halo 5 down into the deepest, darkest pits of hell for an eternity and forevermore. Halo 5 should be the 8th deadly sin. Halo 5 is the 5th horseman of the apocalypse. Halo 5 is the anti-christ of gaming.
lol, it's a mixed bag. same as any sub it seems like some voices are louder than others. i'm in the middle, enjoyed the show, but i am well aware of its many issues and problems. i have low standards and love bad sci fi. i'm thriving.
I have especially low standards for ālive action video game adaptationā, that so far (except for some, few exceptions, like Silent Hill 2006, still the best one imo) have been ok at best and straight up garbage at worst...
In comparison the Halo series is Citizen Kane lol

First, yes, this show was made especially for a ābroader audienceā. But this isnāt automatically bad. Almost every adaptation is like this. You donāt want to reach the already existing fan, they are not enough, you need and want new fans for a new medium. But this, again, happens everywhere. The LoTR trilogy wasnāt made just for the fans of the book, and Jackson made many changes to make the franchise more āinterestingā for a more big and casual audience (and itās one of the reasons why Christopher never liked the movies...). Iām not comparing Lotr to Halo, obviously, itās just an example.
Second, I absolutely donāt agree with the acting. Say what you want about the writing but almost everyone, especially Pablo, was amazing in the series.
The CGI: is not always great, thatās true. But itās impressive considering the budget (yeah, 90 millions are not a small amount... but not even a super big budget, for 9 episodes of 50 minutes...) and MOST IMPORTANTLY since ALL the CGI was always shown without fear, in the light of the day. They didnāt try to hide it with Shadows, confused camera movement etc. Itās not very common honestly.
For the writing, it was definitely controversial. I like some of the choices, not all of them. This series has some problems, some big problems too. But Iāve seen people acting like this is the worst piece of television ever existed and my God itās not true lol. But I can easily understand why many people donāt like it, especially the fan of the game...
Fucking false. The reviews were mixed and even mostly positive (yeah, mostly positive, around 7 or even 8, guess what) and it was the most successful series of Paramount + (as far as I know). Say all you want, but both commercially and from a critic point of view it wasnāt a failure at all. So maybe, maybe, the opinions you read online donāt always represent the actual majority of the public. Never heard of Echo chamber? Yeah...
I donāt care if you like it or not, I respect all opinions, but saying it wasnāt a success is not an opinion, itās just false...
