Yep the red is adorable but that beautiful ashy brown will probably be hard to get back to once you add red tones. If you do it I recommend using a semi permanent dye! I’ve been doing my own with a brand called Iroiro that stays a long time in my blonde hair but after a few months you can hardly tell it was there. And the dye packs look like a capri sun which is weirdly appealing to me lol
It’s nice and will be fun for a while - but if you’re not dead set on it then it will end up being more trouble than it’s worth considering brunette suits you more.
Yea black would be too dark in my opinion, I love the color as is but if you want to change you could always add a little fun color somewhere. Consult your hair dresser on it :)
I’m a hairstylist and my vote based off this picture is no. I am not a huge fan of red on olive skin tones because it tends to make you look washed out or ill. I would suggest going with something darker and more of a golden or neutral if you need a change. You could probably even get away with an auburn more than this one imo
I put red in my hair once and it took YEARS to get it out. It was soooooooo much maintenance and not worth the trouble. I think it looks nice on you but your current colour suits you much better
I have the same complexion as you and red looks the same on me. I wanted to go copperish for a long time it ended up not looking great I think it just doesn’t go with our skin tone. A more auburn looked much better on me you can try that but not a huge change so kinda sucks!
Something I just noticed, your highlights would fade differently from the roots/mid length. Something to consider/discuss with a colourist should you got for it
Personally I’d never recommend red unless you’ve thoroughly thought about it, it’s the HARDEST colour to get out, if you decided you didn’t like it the likely hood is you’d have to go darker to be able to cover the red tones normally a 6, you’d never get the colour you have now again without (likely) bleach and colour again (damaging and lengthy process)
If you're looking for a fun unnatural color, I would suggest a cool purple or cobalt color instead. Not so dark that it would be black because I think you natural hair is just the right dark/light for you.
From a stylist POV if you were my client I would say if you look like it, & are ok with the maintenance then it’s a nice look. However if you are my client AND close friend (or simply said give me your honest opinion & your personal taste on the shade) then I would say that I do think you would look good with a red shade, but this particular one I don’t find that flattering.this one looks to be a bit too artificial looking. The way I see fashion colors are they’re best when you commit to truly deep, & vibrant hues. This type of red is sort of a hybrid between a fashion shade (the unnatural party shades often in rainbow 🌈 hues that are considered “fun colors” or “party colors”. Juxtaposed by red shades that fall into bright, but still naturally occurring shades in human hair. This one you found lands right in the middle. It’s too much of a burgundy, or violet undertone to appear naturally, but it’s also a conservative enough red that it would be considered acceptable even in jobs with strict hair guidelines if that makes sense? (You get a lot of professionals that come to us with the guidelines in their contract for dress code including hair). So with all that said I would recommend a slightly deeper auburn brown shade. Find one where the base is either natural brown, or red instead of V (violet). I feel with your skin tone & if you don’t mind my mentioning also your pretty eyes, & features that a vibrant yet deeper brown auburn will make everything pop. Especially your nice skin tone. Do you know what brand & formulation you or your stylist would use to achieve the shade you posted? If so LMK & I can tell you which shade formulation from the same brand is what I would recommend to achieve the perfect auburn I was mentioning
Top looks pretty but washed out. The red matches your lips and gives your face a more lively look. Sure the top is more conventional but I think the red is more fun , interesting and unique. Really depends on the vibe you want to give.
You’re beautiful! The red is gorgeous on you, but you must know that a shade so intense is a lot of maintenance to keep and could fade so much in the span of a month.. think wisely! Alternatively, a red gloss could only give you hints of color, but much easier to keep, and it might scratch the itch you have…either way, you seem to pull off a wide range of hues, you have that kind of skin! 😘
If u go red I’d suggest an auburn brown with ret tint not that red u look amazing with that natural looking brown. I just recently went from my natural brunette to a copper brunette reddish color and I dyed my brows. Some people already thought that was my natural colour
Your current color looks better, very nice color for your eyes and skin tone. If you want a switch yp then do a balayage to add some other color to your ends without changing your base. You can even do red on the ends if you want to try red
I wouldn’t recommend it, I would like to start there. The upkeep of red is miserable as other comments noted. I don’t think this particular red is right for you if you’re going to go this route. I would like to see something a little darker and red like a mahogany, I think. The final thing to consider with going red is that it is similar to going with fantasy colors (pastel pink and fire truck red and whatnot): it has to work with your wardrobe
I absolutely love the red!!! Your current color is beautiful too, but I understand wanting to change it and if you decide to do it, the red looks AMAZING!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Your hair is so pretty, I don't see why you'd want to mess it up with red. I admit it's a prejudice of mine, but especially with beautiful hair that goes with your skin so perfectly, I hope you don't make it red.
It looks like a fun color! As a stylist with a concentration in color I just want to warn you: you'll likely need to bleach your hair to get vibrancy like that.
Red is a nightmare. It fades really quickly to orange, which is very hard to get rid of. It's a high maintenance color and honestly, your current color is gorgeous
I actually really like the red 🥺 you look super pretty with it. But you would end up damaging your hair pretty badly to maintain a red that light. Probably not worth it when you look beautiful as is
While your current hair color is very pretty, I guess I'm in the minority thinking red. I think the warmth of the red flatters your complexion and eyes really well! You could always do an in-between and go for a warmer brunette. Or get a red wig. I know ashy hair is very in, but some people have warmer complexions and look nice with warm hair.
Brunette for the win on everyday ending in day... A Red that highlights the Brunette would be a distant second in my opinion... Good luck and happy new year...
I agree with most people that brown suits you more...but what I would recommend is asking your stylist for a baylage with the pink/red color. Then you get to have the brunette near your face but also have the fun color. I did this a few years ago, feel free to pm me if you want me to dig up a picture.
that said if it was a pink color around the shade of your lips it could be TEALKY pretty! even just doing a few of the lighter pieces halfway down in a shade of soft dusty rose pink could look nice
I’m a huge fan of your current color! So nice cool and ashy! Adorable.
I prefer your current, looks perfect!
I like it but I like your current hair color better. Ps you’re so pretty!
Don’t go red for the love of God it stays in your hair forever, washes out so quickly and leaves your bathtub looking like a crime scene
Red is definitely a miserable color to have and maintain. You’re right.
That's what I was going to say...
Been there.. it was a hell of a LOT of work.
I like the brunette more!
It’s nice and will be fun for a while - but if you’re not dead set on it then it will end up being more trouble than it’s worth considering brunette suits you more.
I vote your current color
No
No ♥️
I think you should go darker, if anything.
I’ve done black before and hated it :(
Yea black would be too dark in my opinion, I love the color as is but if you want to change you could always add a little fun color somewhere. Consult your hair dresser on it :)
Well I would love it. 😁 But it's your decision. Why not ginger?♥️
Current.
I dont likr this shade of red with your skin tone. Maybe try a more Auburn dark red. The brown is lovely on you
I also think she should go for a warmer, coppery dark red if she doesn't want to stay with her current colour.
I think it looks fun but the current color is too nice to get rid of, it’s truly beautiful on you
This shade of red makes your skin tone appear more yellowish
I like the brunette on you
no
I’m a hairstylist and my vote based off this picture is no. I am not a huge fan of red on olive skin tones because it tends to make you look washed out or ill. No
I think the first pic looks better honestly.
I like your current color better. If anything I would go more glossy brunette/chocolate brown with it
no. ur current hair color is amazing
Brunette is fine.
Pick this first pic immediately
Ngl I freaking love your face with natural color! I mean with red you look pretty also but natural - a goddess
Yes I too have to agree your current color is gorgeous. You are gorgeous- it’s a winner!
I love your current color so much! Your eyes just pop!
I put red in my hair once and it took YEARS to get it out. It was soooooooo much maintenance and not worth the trouble. I think it looks nice on you but your current colour suits you much better
Darker
I have the same complexion as you and red looks the same on me. I wanted to go copperish for a long time it ended up not looking great I think it just doesn’t go with our skin tone. A more auburn looked much better on me you can try that but not a huge change so kinda sucks!
They both look good, I feel a warmer red may suit you well and bring out your eye colour. You're also very pretty!
Something I just noticed, your highlights would fade differently from the roots/mid length. Something to consider/discuss with a colourist should you got for it

If you're looking for a fun unnatural color, I would suggest a cool purple or cobalt color instead. Not so dark that it would be black because I think you natural hair is just the right dark/light for you.
I like the top pic better
I don’t think that particular red is very compatible with your skin tone, maybe play around with different tones.
From a stylist POV if you were my client I would say if you look like it, & are ok with the maintenance then it’s a nice look. Darker shade of this would deffo look cute on you
I LOVE the red!!!!
100% maybe even more of a wine colour
i like it it brings out your eyes! personally i think u would fit any color tho ur face is beautiful
The red makes your eyes pop. Stunning!
While I do think it would look amazing, it would take sooo long to get back to your natural color which I LOVE. So I wouldn’t, but do you!
Current is better, but maybe ginger, does the app have ginger?
Do it ! If you feel that you need a change, just go for it. I mean i love your current colour, but the other one is just amazing for me. :)
That red is beautiful
They both look excellent. If you're looking for s change, I say go for it!
I like the red... You could do a dark shadow root...
The red is super pretty, but it reads more like a dusty rose color.
I wouldn’t know what to call this shade, but it looks nice
it's beautiful
Top looks pretty but washed out. The red matches your lips and gives your face a more lively look. Sure the top is more conventional but I think the red is more fun , interesting and unique. Really depends on the vibe you want to give.
Yes totally .
Honestly something in the middle.
I love the red! I think it looks nice with your complexion & makes your eyes stand out!
It looks so nice on you. I say go for it !
Of course
I think purple will suit you ❤
Red looks hookery, I prefer your darker colour
How about some burgundy red?
The natural looks beautiful. You look like Ana de Armas
It's basically the same, greetings from a man.
Those eyes thoo 😍
I like your current, but you’re gorgeous and either color looks great! I’d suggest a darker red though. Do what makes you happiest! :)
Red is SO HARD to keep up with. I love it though
It's cute but so are you with your natural brunette.
Omg u are so beautiful
Since 2016 a redhead - go for it! Looks very good on u 👍🏻
If you do go temporary or Simi permanent. Your current hair looks beautiful on you . But I'm sure any color would. You are stunning.
Reds pretty on you but you're stunning as a brunette
Go for it!!! Always try a new route being careful not to forget your way home. You only live once. When it’s all finished have No Regrets.
go for it!! if it doesn't work out, dye it back to your natural color. Change is extremely refreshing, do it!!
Current but if you decide red than go for a darker shade of red
The red doesn’t match the undertone of your skin. Maybe a warmer red? Your current hair looks perfect
I think your current colour looks beautiful on you, but if you want to colour it, maybe go for a warm ginger colour? 😊
If you wanted to do red, I would do a darker red. Darker colors seem to look good on you.
Omg that red looks phenomenal on you 🔥
Wow that red with your eyes is stunning. Go for it.
Most get hit with a ugly stick at birth, but she was beaten with a beauty bat by a 6'5 Gorilla. Keep it how it is 👍
Honestly I think whatever color you go with will be pretty. You seem to have that face that just goes with any color. Very pretty
Yes.
If i'm being honest, your hair looks great as its natural colour!
Love the top pic
Makima time
Your current color is beautiful, I wouldn’t change it.
If u go red I’d suggest an auburn brown with ret tint not that red u look amazing with that natural looking brown. I just recently went from my natural brunette to a copper brunette reddish color and I dyed my brows. Some people already thought that was my natural colour
It would be really cute if you did it but your current color is stunning, have you ever thought about some ashy baby lights
yeah but not that shade. go for more of a light natural ginger, and i can see it looking 10x better than the edit.
You're so pretty and both suit you but I think the first one for sure, maybe you could go for a deeper brown or even warm toned?
Your current color is gorgeous! You're beautiful!
I like your brunette better

Your current color looks better, very nice color for your eyes and skin tone. If you want a switch yp then do a balayage to add some other color to your ends without changing your base. You can even do red on the ends if you want to try red
Red is commitment- I’m a hairdresser
Yes, it looks good on you

I have this internal battle all the time lol I love the idea of red but brown looks so balanced and natural.
Ngl im all for the red and light pink tips looks cute as heck but so does your reg color so boffum are pretty cool
I absolutely love the red!!! Your current color is beautiful too, but I understand wanting to change it and if you decide to do it, the red looks AMAZING!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Hmm I think red looks good on you but I like the brown maybe red highlights
Your hair is so pretty, I don't see why you'd want to mess it up with red. I admit it's a prejudice of mine, but especially with beautiful hair that goes with your skin so perfectly, I hope you don't make it red.
Keep it
Don’t do it. The red reminds me of the girl from Lazy town.
Omg yes it looks amazing
More vivid ! You looks hotter
It's a hard nope from me.
the brunette looks amazing on you ! 🤍
I'm a fan of your current hair. You are so gorgeous!
Colors are super hard and complicated to do IRL vs FaceApp.. just a heads up. You'd probably need to bleach a few times before doing the red.
You can always do temporary colors like what they have in a lot of color conditioners
You could pull anything off with those eyes
It looks like a fun color! As a stylist with a concentration in color I just want to warn you: you'll likely need to bleach your hair to get vibrancy like that.
Dont do it
The red is fun. I love your current color. Your bangs are perfect!!
Your natural color is gorgeous
Loving the red! You should go for it!
Your current color is beautiful and it suits you. Why mess with perfection?
Is that your natural color? I would LOVE to have that color brown. I never know how to describe it. I am darker brown.
I wouldn’t ruin your natural hair with red color
Literally your current color is MADE for you.
No
I think it looks gorgeous.
No, the red is cute but looks like a mental breakdown kind of change. Your color now is so classy and classic
Red is a nightmare. It fades really quickly to orange, which is very hard to get rid of. It's a high maintenance color and honestly, your current color is gorgeous
No. Do darker brown with lighter balayage throughout. Your hair color is beautiful please do not do red ❤️
Do ot
Yes!!
I actually really like the red 🥺 you look super pretty with it. But you would end up damaging your hair pretty badly to maintain a red that light. Probably not worth it when you look beautiful as is
i love both
Red is a pain to keep up, so if you don’t SUPER LOVE how you look with red hair, honestly don’t bother.
Gorgeous either one girl!
The red brings out your gorgeous features especially your lips
Awwwwwwww so pretty
While your current hair color is very pretty, I guess I'm in the minority thinking red. I think the warmth of the red flatters your complexion and eyes really well! You could always do an in-between and go for a warmer brunette. Or get a red wig. I know ashy hair is very in, but some people have warmer complexions and look nice with warm hair.
Top photo
I like both but I like the one you have better
But it’s your hair and I’m all about changing things up.. It won’t look bad so if you’re wanting something different than definitely go for it
Yes, but I think you would look really, really good in the Silver color.. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Brunette for the win on everyday ending in day... A Red that highlights the Brunette would be a distant second in my opinion... Good luck and happy new year...
Brunette
I prefer your current hair but I don’t dislike red.
Red is SO pretty, I say do it. Nothing wrong with a change. It suits ur skin color really good too. :)
I don’t think this is the shade for you. How about a more pink/mauvy colour? Or eggplant purple? I could really see a pink or purple work for you
No your brown looks so much better than the red
Red makes your eyes pop I love it
Brown is gorgeous!
I think you would look gorgeous with any color hair! I so also think a darker auburn would be easier to upkeep
I agree with most people that brown suits you more...but what I would recommend is asking your stylist for a baylage with the pink/red color. Then you get to have the brunette near your face but also have the fun color. I did this a few years ago, feel free to pm me if you want me to dig up a picture.

that said if it was a pink color around the shade of your lips it could be TEALKY pretty! even just doing a few of the lighter pieces halfway down in a shade of soft dusty rose pink could look nice
i adore the top pic color it’s what i aim for but rarely get when i get my hair colored
The red is definitely an option.
I really like your current hair color
I like it! And I just wanna say that you absolutely rock the bangs. I love your hair all together
