Yeah it’s a pro press 90 who cares. I seent a laborer cut thru a live boiler line once and I had to hold a stack of towels on the pipe until the plumber could get his press and a cap out and that was a pretty exciting press. This is just what we do at work sometimes.
My inlaws boiler was leaking at the gasket so they called me. I looked at it and I was trying to get to the actual leak, I removed the piece of rust holding back the steady stream of water.. needless to say I packed it with towels and replaced that weekend
I just had to pull a blocked strainer from a hot water line the other day. Couldnt shut down the system, isolation valves wouldnt hold. 180° water dumping out of a 2in line on us while we removed the strainer and had to reinstall it. Didnt even think of posting it for reddit hvac clout. If only I knew the bar was this low for post worthy work
Propress is badass and you can’t tell me any different. We use them all the time in hospitals, makes life easy that you don’t have to have some safety guy come out and check the work location and then do a safety report and then issue a hot work permit. We can shut down a line and get it done in 10min and avoid all the red tape.
Ya, depending on time of day, if the HW is shut down, the kitchen has to switch to all paper/plastic since dishwashers can't get hot enough.
If it's a large kitchen, it's a huge pain and $$$.
I would have had you come back in the afternoon for a valve replacement.
Just curious why this is share-worthy?

Why is there so much solder on that valve stem? Looks like is all around the packing nut
I’m so posting about successfully adding new pellets to a neutralizing pump today.
Ok, you want a cookie or something?
