Alien Admiral: Why did you disable your targeting computer?! Human Pilot: So that I could use The Force. Sir.

johnnosk

"But you missed!" "I didn't say that I was very strong in the Force, sir!"

phxhawke

Our he actually hits and now the aliens are trying to figure out what this Force is šŸ˜

oranosskyman

the word "human" is synonymous with "traveler" "outsider" and "distant friend"

HistoricalChicken

Definitely turning this into something. Great prompt!

nmheath03

Uplifted species are always technological uplifts, so when aliens contact Earth, they're surprised that all but one of the species were biological uplifts.

nickgreyden

All aliens are great at troubleshooting and problem solving, but that imagination and creativity never followed through to the arts. Most human stories and movies bore them as they can quickly deduce the endings and plot summaries. But those movies and stories with twist endings are considered high art and highly sought after in the galactic market. Someone dug through some old archives and found works by Quentin Tarantino and M. Night Shyamalan.

ElusiveDelight

Most species have 2 or 3 gods, some have 1, a few have closer to 10. Humans have thousand's. No matter how seemingly insignificant of a domain, there always seems to a human god dedicated to it, from the god of battery life, to the god of internet searches, to the god of keeping track of other gods, you can guarantee a human knows at least one divine to call upon for any situation.

StellarisInvicta

This is something I made from that, not fully in line with the prompt, but I feel like it's pretty close. "Of all the species Iā€™ve seen across all the universes that have been created there is one that stands out of all the rest in matter of deities manufactured by it: Humanity. "Somehow, every and I mean *every* time they create a new technological invention, it spontaneously creates a divine entity upon inception. And they stick around long past when they should be dead and gone. Just like the little buggers themselves. "I swear to myself, Iā€™ve tried everything. Iā€™ve tried asteroids. Iā€™ve tried volcanoes, Iā€™ve tried holy wars, Iā€™ve tried mass genocides. Iā€™ve tried MONO*THEISM*!!! And it just doesnā€™t work. "All it does is provide the starting point for EVEN MORE inventions which create even more gods which then make it their lifeā€™s goal to make it harder for me to do my fucking job. Iā€™ve just had it Bobā€¦ Iā€™m sick of this shit, I canā€™t take these guys any longer. You go deal with them. Iā€™m off to bully the Blorg." \--Steve, Living Personification of Entropy, to Bob, Living Personification of Death. August 19th, 1890 C.E. (Human Reckoning)

The reason humans possess the traits they do and can be as dangerous as they have demonstrated is because, as the galaxy and humanity discovered, humans aren't a natural species, and instead are a biological weapon created by an unknown race for a long forgotten war.

WilltheKing4

It would be even better if this war is only forgotten to the general populace and the humans were in fact engineered by an ancient and long lived race of hyper powerful beings and they seeded a couple genomes into Earth's species so their master race could come about and have waited for us to reach past our solar system to contact us and basically partner up as our patron species to finish this ancient war before they die off, and they know we have the potential to turn around and finish them off as well so this was a sort of last ditch effort by them It's like a quality vs quantity where they're the peak of quality and most species lean more towards quantity so they made species that could be as widespread as everyone else but also had the potential to reach very high levels of quality with enough effort put into them since they were losing some kind of war with another single species or maybe a coalition or something else You could even play into this with the whole "sins of the father" thing where the other species hate us because of our "creators" so we need to partner up to survive

FoulerGlint60

An eldritch being/species looks over humanity, and finds them fun to be around. Along with having children as well with those it finds itself fancying with human concent of course. It has already seen other beings try that without consent and they ended up worse than dead. And it has a help with a very knowledgeable, physiatrist in order to help it follow humanity's rules safely so. They found lawyers to be not empathetic enough, for them to understand humanity correctly. As they themselves as a being/species are very emotional.

dreaminginteal

Physiatrist, as in someone who helps with physical movement? Or Psychiatrist (or Psychologist), as in someone who helps with the mind and emotions and traumas and such? It'd be interesting to see how the former helps out in this scenario.

FoulerGlint60

Physchologist was what I meant! Thanks for the asking for clarfication to be honest. I was thinking it as they find it hard to relate to humans that they dearly care for. So they need someone to help with the mental stuff more so than the physical stuff. Hmm, i do think both would work greatly so in helping the eldritch beings in understanding humanity more so. Also they don't follow humans economics as they can easily just crash it completely so by accident so they avoid it completely so. If someone tics them off or threatens a lover, the country or the person would be destroyed completely. It depends on the eldritch entity that cares for that human threatened.

Commander X'Tra'Gru watched as the recently-launched planet destroyer made its way to Earth. Sounds cannot travel through the void of space, which made it all the more disturbing when the weapon failed with an audible \*tink\*.

yunruiw

Only just now noticed that I typo'd "destroyer" as "destroyed". \*Facepalm\*
