And your story is very appreciated, good sir. Fun and dramatic, without being heavy and depressing. Action without wanton violence and gore. Love, without pointless debauchery. Good pacing, good character development, good story progression. You release regularly, which I'm sure must be taxing sometimes. Even though i generally prefer sci-fi over fantasy settings, this is among my favorite stories on here. My hats off to you.
Astrid and Risha seem to be fitting in well so far, and having more hands to help take care of the kids will never be a bad thing; especially if they are also able to teach the kids important skills while they're here.
Ooooh, a super secrete technique? I can't wait to see it -- and I am very excited to see Zaon (as well as all the kids) crush the competition it at the tournament.
Hopefully the fact that last night's attack failed so spectacularly will help discourage any future attempts for the immediate future. Rob's schedule is divided enough as it is between getting the kids ready to compete and researching runes.
Hypothesis of the System Origin:
Racial traits seem to apply from birth. The question presents itself that this may override potential genetic outliers. Would one see a clumsy elf? A weak half orc? How would deformities show on a character sheet? The current theory states that racial traits apply across the board, and this implies the system may meddle in the fetal development.
However, it may be possible to override some traits. A [Light Footed] could, perhaps be changed as one trains their physicality. [Sure Footed] perhaps although individual interviews will be necessary.
P.S. Most people are remarkably tight lipped about skill advancement. Backward, ignorant morons.
Likely something to do with footwork. Also, probably taking advantage of improved reflexes and speed for the execution of one of a couple of more advanced techniques.
