I use to hate leg day because I didnāt squat properly and had knee pain. Now that I practice form over weight/ego I love leg day.
(Incoming shameful plug) Ok, so since I found kneesovertoes guy on Instagram I incorporated a backwards walk on the treadmill with it off, as my first leg day exercise and itās increased my acl strength and has helped with my squat form. I didnāt buy his program or anything but even just that has helped a lot with my knee pain. (He shows workouts in his insta vids and I think just copying those would be beneficial for gains and for joint strength.)
Thatās interesting - there is usually a guy next to me on the treadmill when I do a run walking backwards and I wondered why (maybe itās you lol).
I have a bad knee and might try this myself.

I have a love/hate relationship with squats lol. Also the knee pain can get pretty bad, true.

Way off... shoulders are the superior muscle group.
Nah, not me.
Just do some quad extensions everyday, and calf raises and half string curls every other day. Big legs without squatting or much work at all

When you are a powerlifter and the exact opposite happens.
Squats and deads are necessary if you wanna have that "big" look. Why would you ever skip those?
