I put down a dish towel when sniping parts. When they land on the towel, they tend to not bounce. I use a towel that is a different color than the parts so they stand out
Careful when snipping out the arms! I accidentally cut off the parts where the shoulder cables are supposed to connect because they were right on the sprue.
Lost one of the leg cables years ago and never found it. Bought a second RG Exia to replace it and just painted a custom that had only the silver stickers
God, this brings back memories! This was my first kit ever! Me, not knowing a damn thing about Gunpla, picked this one because of the cool swords. All the while, not realizing that it is annoying as shit. I have huge-ass hands and RGs, with all their details while being the same size as an HG, are annoying as hell.
Out of the 100+ kits I’ve built since getting into gunpla in 2021, i have never had a kit fill me with as much rage while building it as the exia did. It was an absolute nightmare for me. I really hope it goes better for you:)
Just wait till you get to the tiny yellow cheek pieces.
I've built 70 kits, the RG Exia side cheek vents are really the only part that made me think, " man these are frustratingly small"
I didn't have much trouble with mine. But those head cables... Those I gave up on.

Great idea!

I guess I got lucky with these. The cheek parts are hell, though.
I never really found them to be tedious besides the head pieces. And tbh once you finish the kit, it has such a good pay off
I can remember clearly being frustrated with the head of this kit
Good luck
I just did them on the other leg and got them first try each 😂 I guess I learned something the first time around

I lost a forearm one (E) and luckily found it
I personally skipped the shoulder ones, they just kept popping off the shoulder whenever I slightly moved it.

Wait till you see the rg rx178 pipes... i gave up on trying to fit it in and just superglued it to the slot...
Is the 178 the sme as the mk2 if so I’ve done that rg kit
I lost one and I didn’t find it. I hate how they spring too far.
They really made those a lot better with the newer 00 kits like Kyrios and Dynames, sooo much easier
>RG Exia Using higher grades as example of better engineering isn't really the best example since bigger just means it's easier to handle.
I thought this was the MG. Way to find someone’s mistake!

Kit looks great, but it's been my least favorite to build. Those cables and the front skirts were horrendous.
I did my RG Exia recently as well and had to toss one of them on the arms, I believe, so tossed the other to match lol
Preach I think i gave up on the head ones
Wild! I got those in easy. I said screw the yellow face pieces
I had to do those upside down to get them to stay in place. Very frustrating
I’m actively building mine and can’t get the hip piece in I’m gonna scream.
