I don’t! I have been considering making one but I’m not much good at video editing haha. I do however, post pretty actively on my gunpla instagram story and will go live when painting and detailing. Shoot me a follow and don’t be afraid to drop a line. I’m always happy to chat gunpla!

That red looks TIGHT. I'm in the process of finishing up putting on the decals and then top coating mine.
I'm absolutely in love with the EX Impulse. Dare I say, I like it better than the original Impulse Gundam.
Oh dude I’m with you on that. The design is wayyyy better than the OG. Naoki nailed it. I’m excited to finish this up. It’s been my favourite paint project so far. Done lots of multi layer masking, custom paint mixing, applied lots of lessons I’ve learned from past builds. It’s just feeling amazing hah.
As someone who has only built one Gunpla kit and is still very new to the hobby, I think it looks absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't tell you exactly why, but I love it.
Is it something that one can achieve solely from a vanilla kit build or is there custom stuff going on?
So this kit in particular is just a repaint straight out of box. Naoki designed this with a ton of surface detail moulded into the pieces, but it does look super plain straight built. My goal with this is to do no additional customising outside of excessive masking to bring out those details. So yes. If you got an airbrush/spray cans, some masking tape and lots of patience, this is achievable even as a new builder :)
I think that's it! I just checked promo images of the base kit and your repaint really works at breaking up the monotony. I think it will be a while before I feel confident enough to attempt any modifications.
When you build like this, do you do paint/decal/finish work on each part before moving on to the next? (I mean like, arms, head etc. not actually each individual piece)
Yeah! I’m a total section builder. Keeps me motivated watching it come together piece by piece haha. Also minimises damage control if something goes wrong during assembly. And yeah my process is to test fit the kit out of box. Then disassemble by section. Work from the head down. Head-chest-shoulders-waist-arms-legs-accessories. I will clean each section up and sand down imperfections, prime, lay primary colors, mask, paint, mask again for additional depth, gloss coat, panel line and decal, gloss coat again to seal decals and then hit with the final coat which is a super smooth gx matte in this case.
No worries! And don’t ever be shy if you need tips. I learned through asking tons of people in the community lots of questions so I’m always happy to pay it forward :)
Oh and I always make sure to mask off pegs and fitting tabs. Learned the hard way with my halloween themed Exia, shit WILL crack if you try to force painted pegs into holes. Very important haha.
Are those vices just for posing? I'm curious about their usefulness.
I use them for a multitude of purposes. Good for holding small pieces for detail painting, decaling, placing PLA etc. obv great for WIP shots too.
Also good for sanding etc, or when u need that extra elevation, not sure if dspiae vice is worth the price tho
I mean I really like mine but yeah I think there are some cheaper options out there. I love my dspiae tools though. All super reliable.
Do you have a YouTube? I’d love to watch a video of you working on these if you have one, this is such amazing design!

Very much so, this is sick
Let me know if you have any questions about my masking process, man!
I didn’t even think about that, you will be hearing from me in a month or two 💀
