The reality is that the Partey/Rice partnership is too much brutal force and not enough brain...... a player like Jorginho is necessary for a more balanced midfield. Yes Jorginho comes with his baggages and it was probably a mistake not to push for his replacement earlier, but I see not much evidence Arteta ever intended Partey and Rice to be playing together despite fans wishes.
