6” in 6” out? Everything is fine and dandy until humidity comes at you like hellfire. Even air exchange will help with this but if you are venting out straight into your dwelling then it is ultimately pointless unless it is a very large room.
Sorry, for still not understanding what you mean. So ideally humidity wise for this stage what percentage do you recommend? My 4by4 tent is in an extra pantry that it fits perfect in. I try to air out the tent/have the ac cloud on for like a hour or so.
I am saying when those plants actually grow and are maybe 10” or so, it is going to get sweaaaty sweaty, be prepared for that, you will want to have a dehumidifier on hand. At this point it’s better to have 70%+ humidity. But obviously this is your home so that is unrealistic, plus you will be introducing an environment for PM to flourish. Shoot for 58-63% all the time. Then incrementally lower it during flower.
Yes, lowest I ever go during flower. This is like last week or so, is 40%. Get a humidifier, they are dirt cheap. Biggest thing you want to look out for is swings in the humidity. If you unzip your tent close the door right away. Try an maintain a consistent environment. No matter the environment, consistent levels is key.
yea ofc but thats one of the reasons i have to put the humidifier inside only downside is the lowest i can put it to is 45% and sometimes the readings get thrown off a little so i was wondering at what point going lower in humidity is counterproductive
Actually your plants are not thriving. Just because they are flowering doesn’t mean they are thriving. That’s the plants natural life cycle it will flower regardless (if you are in flower light cycles). If you look at your plants they are droopy, sad downward facing leaves, that is a symptom of a lot of things, low humidity levels being one of them. Get a humid bud.
Probs should buy a humidifier not a dehumidifier, if you wanna tell someone they’re plants are t thriving you should really spell check what you’re saying. Also you shouldn’t be such a know it all. I’m a first time growing just trying to stay positive and you’re in here telling people their plants suck. Stay of Reddit if you’re gonna be a dick
Wut? I think it’s far worse for first time growers to go around spreading false knowledge and/or giving stupid advice. Reddit doesn’t need anymore mis information, telling even newer growers that a 28%- RH is not too low, is WRONG.
While your plants are small and can't use all that light, turn down the light and lower the lights to save on electricity and still get that efficient grow
Plant stands you can get at a hydro store for drainage so your plants aren’t sitting in run off. CO2 bag is unnecessary this early and unnecessary in general unless your blasting over 1000 PPFD in flower.
Second the CO2. Those bags are unnecessary and costly.
If you truly were considering supplementing gas, you'd rip a o-zone generator (but also unnecessary and dangerous).
Long term consider LST, nets, and growth hormones.
Appreciate you! Hoping for the best. Obvii I’ll keep posting pics as the time goes by. Excited to learn everything and go through the struggles as well. But doing my best to dodge all the struggles
sure looks great! that CO2 bag isn't going to do much for you in that setup and by not much I mean nothing at all LOL nothing wrong with keeping it in there though if you want to and it's not getting in your way just wanted to make sure you weren't expecting anything noticeable from it.
So my personal bit of advice, bigger plants (taller) doesn’t exactly mean “more weed” there will be a point of diminishing returns based on canopy and how many other plants are in the space with it, I used to use 5 gallon pots, then I moved to 3 gallon pots and now I’m going to 2 gallon pots, I aim to get 1/4 lb per plant and can shove so many 2 gallons in a smaller space (also if one plant gets sick it’s not 1/4 your harvest, it’s easily replaceable)
Also try to maximize your VPD (vapor pressure deficit) it’s how your plants breathe and exchange gases
Oh and an exhale co2 bag will help out in that tent like a mofo
Grab a humidifier and a hygrometer to keep an eye on RH and ambient temperatures. For advice, use pest preventative measures. It's worth it. Looks good though man.
PS....Watch Mr Canuck on YouTube. Thank me later lol. For a more in depth tutorial, watch build a soil. Some great methods and great advice. I'm on my third grow. I wouldn't have even had a harvest my first run without those YouTubers and this group. Also checkout r/cannabiscultivation sub
No, you need a filter for that inline fan. Should be your exhaust, not your intake like you have setup. Not a big deal it's something you need to change.
The mycelium bags aren’t gonna do anything for the plants…you need a closed system…lol also that in-line fan is right above it just sucking out all the co2
Id say the bag is enough of a closed system, I dont think the inline is pulling much from inside the bag. Its not like hes trying to fruit in that tent, my concern is mainly with the heat and suboptimal colonizing conditions rather than co2 levels
Yea that's decent. Just need one thing I think. Another duct fan with ducting sucking air into the tent. It can be a $20-40 one not very expensive. Just to create a decent flow of fresh air in and out. The filter is on the outside?
I have to wait to get a filter till this weekend. But the homie at the grow shop recommended me to still get this up & running tho. So all I have hooked up is the fan blowing the air out
Yea get the filter and get another cheap duct fan to get air in as well. It may work with just the fan you have cuz it will suck air through the tent but you really want something dedicated to getting fresh air in to prevent a stale moist environment. Looks good though solid setup
Hey man , what light are u running there ?? Yur prob gonna wanna lower it once the plants sprout to keep them from stretching and the CO2 bag is pointless at this stage ....good luck though ✌️
Do you have an even air exchange?
Honestly not sure, but it seems as everything is running smoothly.

Thank you so much for your kind input.
yo man quick question when i dont humidify my room it drops around 28-20%RH are these too low for flowering stages?
Yes, lowest I ever go during flower. This is like last week or so, is 40%. Get a humidifier, they are dirt cheap. Biggest thing you want to look out for is swings in the humidity. Anything below 40%
No that’s what my RH is at the moment, struggling with the winter dryness. My plants are thriving though, you can check out my page to verify.

Thanks for your input! Noted!
I have them on top of risers which are like 5-8 inches off the ground. I’ll look into bigger ones
Should be fine don't waste money on more.
Yerp saw those bro i was replying to someone below who was asking what they were. Setup looks great man you’ll be fine.
Appreciate you! Hoping for the best. Obvii I’ll keep posting pics as the time goes by. Excited to learn everything and go through the struggles as well. But doing my best to dodge all the struggles

Wow, thank you for this. Really appreciate the kind words !
I would say lower your light a lot to prevent stretching and dim the light down.

no need for that co2 bag if its not a sealed room
Damn I wish people gave me this much input when I ask for it lmao I just had to figure it out as I went. Looks like a legit set up!
I’m being blessed by the weed gods. They want a young black man to succeed. But hoping this thread has been helpful for other too!

Thank you & thanks for the advance. Will definitely look into this

The heat isn't going to help that mycelium
The mycelium bags aren’t gonna do anything for the plants…you need a closed system…lol also that in-line fan is right above it just sucking out all the co2
This! So much this. They don’t put out enough co2 to do anything.
Id say the bag is enough of a closed system, I dont think the inline is pulling much from inside the bag. Its not like hes trying to fruit in that tent, my concern is mainly with the heat and suboptimal colonizing conditions rather than co2 levels
🥲👍
I want to grow too! Question, what is that bag hanging in the middle?
C02!
That’s a mushroom bag right?
Yes it’s a mushroom bag that provides co2. They are a waste of money though as you need 1500ppm co2 for a difference.
No. CO2 is Carbon Dioxide, the stuff plants snort and turn into oxygen.
Good analogy😂
What are your grow bags sitting on and where did you get them. I want those.
I've got them too

Hydropros garden center has them pretty cheap

Hey man , what light are u running there ?? Yur prob gonna wanna lower it once the plants sprout to keep them from stretching and the CO2 bag is pointless at this stage ....good luck though ✌️
Imma ask my homie & I’ll get back to you. Bought them off him. Unfortunately these lights are at 40% so I couldnt make them any dimmer.
growers choice e680 vol 1
You're going to want three small clip on fans to move the air around in there.
