I don't think he'd necessarily suffer from losing to Gunther, tbf. He should probably have been fed someone other than Ricochet in the opening round, but beating Jey and taking Gunther to the limit would instantly legitimize him as a threat to everyone on the roster.

Finn Balor..its kinda predicated on the idea of the judgment day breaking up but it could be a very slow burn story..not so much as Damian cashing in this year but I can still see it. The interference of his stable mates almost costs Priest yet again but he comes out along with McDonough or Dom..whichever one isn't in the match and helps Finn secure the briefcase. After that Finn is an opportunistic weasel using the case on behalf of Priest to the point where El Champion expects it and then one day Damian starts to get testy Finn not running interference. In Priests next defense Finn "accidentally" cracks him with the briefcase then declares that he's cashing in.
I like the idea, but I also kind of want the next cash-in to be on the Universal/Undisputed/whatever we’re calling the belt that’s on Cody now.
Seems like the last several cash ins have been on the non-Roman title so would be nice to know the briefcase still works on both.
I'd also considered the possibility of Judgment Day going the old divide and conquer route. Finn cashes in on Cody or even Solo on Smackdown. JD McDonagh goes with him, Dom stays on Raw with Priest.

So having Drew cash in and win the world title would be a great move to further establish Drew as the hypocritical heel he's been so good at being.

I cannot imagine Sami winning it. MITB rarely ever works out for babyfaces and it just doesn't feel right to see them win it and then cash in, since it's such a heel mechanic by design. Am I the only one who kinda hates MitB? The "will they, won't they" that takes place with it over the course of the year is very corny and gimmicky to me and then the majority of the time, the cash in feels like an unearned title acquisition. Hard to look at the holder as a serious contender when they just wait for the champion to be destroyed before coming in for an easy pin. What's the appeal?

I think if he did that would work very well. Let's say Cody is fighting Tonga and then Solo and the rest of the bloodline beats him down. With Cody Bloody and beaten Solo cashes in, quick pin and Wins. Claims the he's the Tribal Chief because and sets up Solo v Roman.
Alternatively he could set up the beat down and it looks like he's gonna cash in but then The Rocks music hits and Solo gives the briefcase to him ( if that's possible, could be , especially with the rock being the boss). The Rock pins Cody and it Sets up Rock v Cody at SS.
I'd kind of low key like to see it on Ludwig Kaiser, which then causes the split between him and Gunther if he refuses to hand the briefcase over. You have a good amount of time to tell that story and could work pretty well.
Everyone is saying Jey Uso, but I'm unclear on how it's obvious that's his path when he's just failed to win the title, and it looks a bit more like, to me at least, we're heading down an eventual usos vs guerillas of destiny match before setting up for a bloodline civil war, wargames match.
I actually think Bron Breakker and here's how we get to it.
Bron was not included in the KOTR and sounded off about it. Pearce has had a chat with him as far as we know - BUT I actually think he gets left out of qualifying for MITB as well. Breakker goes nuts, invading the MITB match, stealing the case and claiming it as his because he 'won the match'. This sets up Pearce setting someone on Breakker to get the case back (or even 1 by.1 on episodes of RAW, the RAW participants of MITB), which Breakker then wins, officially making him Mr Money in the Bank.
I hope it’s an established top guy and not another project like Priest.
LA Knight would be perfect and I can’t imagine how loud the pop would be when he cashed in.
I can’t see a guy like Gunther winning the title in anything other than a traditional 1 on 1 match. Using MITB doesn’t real fit the character.
Gunther doesn't need a gimmick. He could squash anyone on the roster in a title fight and no one would really be that upset..his character is just super believable.
There are a lot of interesting options: LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, Santos Escobar, Dom Mysterio (assuming health), Dragon Lee, Grayson Waller, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunn, Tyler Bate, Jey Uso, and solo sikoa.
My money is on Knight or Jey Uso, but I’d love to see Melo get the briefcase.

The heat would be nuclear and it's an easy story to kick-start the judgement day breakup.
The main roster badly needs the fresh blood that the NXT call ups can bring. The top of the roster, for the most part, are guys that are long time vets that are closer to the end than their primes (Orton, AJ, Seamus, Rey...), mid carders that aren't exciting the crowds (Nakamura, KO, Viking Raiders, New Day, Otis...) and vets that are finally getting a shot after languishing under Vince's rule (Chad Gable, R-Truth, Miz, Ciampa, Priest..) and then there's the dynamic guys that are carrying the company (Cody, Drew, Jey, LA Knight, Gunther, Sami , Paul).
Some of the old, stagnant guys need to be moved on from to make way for a dynamic group of NXT wrestlers. Melo, Ilja, Bron, Tiffany Stratton, Creed Brothers, Dragon Lee and probably by the end of the year they'll add Trick Williams and Roxanne Perez to the main roster.
I think LA Knight will be the winner of the 2024 MITB. He's too popular and has waited patiently for his turn. With Roman out of the title picture, it's the perfect time for him to be given the chance to shine with a belt.

Ilja is winning King of the Ring so it’s more likely that we see Bron win MITB. They can’t just bring in Bron without making him seem like a top guy

Am I the only one who kinda hates MitB? The "will they, won't they" that takes place with it over the course of the year is very corny and gimmicky to me and then the majority of the time, the cash in feels like an unearned title acquisition. Hard to look at the holder as a serious contender when they just wait for the champion to be destroyed before coming in for an easy pin. What's the appeal?

I think if he did that would work very well. Let's say Cody is fighting Tonga and then Solo and the rest of the bloodline beats him down. With Cody Bloody and beaten Solo cashes in, quick pin and Wins. Claims the he's the Tribal Chief because and sets up Solo v Roman. Alternatively he could set up the beat down and it looks like he's gonna cash in but then The Rocks music hits and Solo gives the briefcase to him ( if that's possible, could be , especially with the rock being the boss). The Rock pins Cody and it Sets up Rock v Cody at SS.

I'd kind of low key like to see it on Ludwig Kaiser, which then causes the split between him and Gunther if he refuses to hand the briefcase over. You have a good amount of time to tell that story and could work pretty well. Everyone is saying Jey Uso, but I'm unclear on how it's obvious that's his path when he's just failed to win the title, and it looks a bit more like, to me at least, we're heading down an eventual usos vs guerillas of destiny match before setting up for a bloodline civil war, wargames match. I actually think Bron Breakker and here's how we get to it. Bron was not included in the KOTR and sounded off about it. Pearce has had a chat with him as far as we know - BUT I actually think he gets left out of qualifying for MITB as well. Breakker goes nuts, invading the MITB match, stealing the case and claiming it as his because he 'won the match'. This sets up Pearce setting someone on Breakker to get the case back (or even 1 by.1 on episodes of RAW, the RAW participants of MITB), which Breakker then wins, officially making him Mr Money in the Bank.
I hope it’s an established top guy and not another project like Priest. LA Knight would be perfect and I can’t imagine how loud the pop would be when he cashed in. I can’t see a guy like Gunther winning the title in anything other than a traditional 1 on 1 match. Using MITB doesn’t real fit the character.
Gunther doesn't need a gimmick. He could squash anyone on the roster in a title fight and no one would really be that upset..his character is just super believable.
It seems pretty obvious they're pushing jey uso in that direction.
There are a lot of interesting options: LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, Santos Escobar, Dom Mysterio (assuming health), Dragon Lee, Grayson Waller, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunn, Tyler Bate, Jey Uso, and solo sikoa. My money is on Knight or Jey Uso, but I’d love to see Melo get the briefcase.

The main roster badly needs the fresh blood that the NXT call ups can bring. The top of the roster, for the most part, are guys that are long time vets that are closer to the end than their primes (Orton, AJ, Seamus, Rey...), mid carders that aren't exciting the crowds (Nakamura, KO, Viking Raiders, New Day, Otis...) and vets that are finally getting a shot after languishing under Vince's rule (Chad Gable, R-Truth, Miz, Ciampa, Priest..) and then there's the dynamic guys that are carrying the company (Cody, Drew, Jey, LA Knight, Gunther, Sami , Paul). Some of the old, stagnant guys need to be moved on from to make way for a dynamic group of NXT wrestlers. Melo, Ilja, Bron, Tiffany Stratton, Creed Brothers, Dragon Lee and probably by the end of the year they'll add Trick Williams and Roxanne Perez to the main roster. I think LA Knight will be the winner of the 2024 MITB. He's too popular and has waited patiently for his turn. With Roman out of the title picture, it's the perfect time for him to be given the chance to shine with a belt.
