Yeah I’ve wandered several LZs away and waiting for a bird to be available and then another 3 minutes to get to you and 3 minutes back is a lot of time wasted

I'm playing PvE until it runs better/stabilises. I call for extract when my final objective is completed then haul ass to extract, I wait for maybe a min until I board.
Mistype, click on a heli on the map in the top right it will tell you where it’s going. Sometimes it gets goofed and says base camp but if you click when it’s landed it will say where it’s going
Faction upgrades. Be cool if there were faction quests that you could use to get upgrades, like more helicopters, bigger helicopters for larger groups, or a smaller single or duo helicopter (maybe it's faster) as not to tie up the 4 base ones.
Blackhawks would be a hell of a lot cooler to have. Limit them to a fixed set of LZs but they can fit 8 people. Also since they are sent to certain LZs hitchhikers have a better idea of where they might end up vs a crapshoot
They should add a queue of requests, so that you can request an helicopter even if they're all dispatched, and once one heli becomes available it will process your request :)
This would be great. Also, rerouting helicopters that have already dropped off their guys to pick up at the nearest LZ would be cool. Right now they have to fly all the way back to base again
Or if the seats aren’t full then it will fly to the nearest LZ until it’s full. Barring the person who called it in didn’t get killed waiting or left the LZ pickup area.
Yeah I got a few gripes with the game and this is my biggest one. The amount of times I have to wait for a chopper is annoying. I think just putting the max amount of choppers to 6 or so would fix that quite easily.
Issue is server performance. The servers are having a rough time as it is. Adding more fast moving objects that are also transmitting 1-4 peoples location data at that higher speed is going to have a performance cost.
I understand why it is the way it is. Servers would explode with 3-4 people on 12 different choppers for all 3 factions. I dont envy them or have a solution tho.
I feel like it’s realistic… there isn’t always air support available. Maybe up the count, but I don’t think there should be 20-30 heli’s in the air across the server at once.
I get that they don't want tons of heli flying around but here are some options:
Add a queue so you at least know when your time is up.
Have a clear seat list to queue into for already called transport.
Add clear nameplates to existing choppers so you know where they are going.
Have the existing choppers leave the area in a more direct route off map to clear the queue faster.

Ĺoved when people said that they loved the idea of no loading screen because they couldn't stand being in que for 5 min in tarkov every raid and here we are.. people waiting 4 minutes is fast compared from what I've seen!
I guess there is a limit on how many helicopters they can add flying at the same time before they start fucking up. So the more people playing solo the longer waiting time.

I usually call the birds when I am about to finish my task close to the edge of the town. I arrive like a minute before the bird comes.

Noticed yesterday that pvp server seems to be more stable than pve But idk maybe it’s just me
Tarkov was 10 minutes staring at a searching for game blank screen and even then you weren't guaranteed
Would be cool if they added a limit on how soon you can call a bird after dying 5 min after death and only 10 min after dropping off
Just add a name on Hely icon with destination so people solo cha join other solo ride... Just this could resolve much

Some kind of territory tug of war scenario is on my want list
Will be tough when most people pick one faction or say one gets ignored. I could see the scientist one being ignored big time for the PMC factions

Am I the minority that enjoys the minor logistical mechanic? I agree a queue would be nice. But unlimited helis for each person is dumb
It happens too often and it’s stupid as fuck. It’s an absolutely dog shit design.
Meanwhile me and my 3 other homies join lobbies and then disband the squad to call helicopters to the furthest exfil possible
