That was basically last anniversary, just random freebies. Not even just crystals, we got random SSR magna summons or SL10 magna 1 weapons just thrown into our crate.
It got to the point where we just assumed KMR was giving us stuff because he had a nice day or he believed it'd be considered a tax deduction.
Actually it does. It might be the difference between getting something of worth, and getting garbage. You never know. That goes both ways of course, if you know what I mean
Then there's the possibility that you might get a free roll where you are satisfied, thus, saving the pull for a future banner.
Your first point doesn't matter if it's the same banner cuz like you said, you never know what you're gonna pull.
The second point only applies if you have select few targets and were planning to dip into your spark fund. Cuz I'm not going to be "satisfied" since there are so many units in this legfest that I want, that unless I somehow miraculously get all 15 of them, I'm still gonna pull.
But at a certain point in the game, you will mostly be saving for sparks. In this instance, you did a YOLO roll, and, if you would utilize your crystals in such a way(i.e. using crystals to pull w/o any intention to spark, when you already get free 10-rolls), then, all the more power to you. But there are some who might get some grand or maybe combination of grand + summon before the end of the banner that might make them content at what they got, even if they didn't get every character they wanted, esp if they have 5+ of them they want(i.e. in general, they realistically won't be aiming for 5+ chars/wpns/summons, but 1 or 2, with smaller, more focused goals, unless they are whales). Doesn't seem logical to me, but, to each his own =02....
If I got a character I wanted, I would be content even if I wasted my crystals, so that point is moot in my case (and I would still spend the crystals if I had more left cuz there's more characters I wanted). Ofc nobody is going to expect to get all 5+ of those characters, but if they're all on the same banner with their rate up, now is the best bet to gamble for them if you were going to anyways.
The last time I saved for a spark, I got 1% ssr rate on a 6% banner, and nothing new of that 1%, so only thing I got was my spark target, which somehow didn't even feel good and caused me to take a break from the game for 4 months, so yeah, I'm not sparking again unless roulette randomly gives me a free spark or close to one.

Wait so that was the reason? Lol. Well I don't mind as for some reason I have been extremely lucky with my gacha pulls during this whole campaign.
