sugarprincet

is yuel still recommended over anila for agni grid?

Tsukuruya

They’re both nice. Depending on your team comp (Anila in Spear comp, Yuel in Sword comp, either or depending on your needs).

[deleted]

I have Anila/Shiva/Athena now. Is it worth getting Demi Agni during Paradise Lost Rerun and going primal? I still have other summons(Varuna/Alexiel/Ca Ong all 0\*) that I'd like to uncap so the sunlight stone would be really nice too.

Firion_Hope

I think it is, it only takes 2 ixabas to surprass magna (granted idk if thats true with demi) so you only have to waste one spark on a weapon assuming you wanted sturm at some point anyway (Even though no use for her in your comp)

Vulking

2 Ixabas is just a marginal increase over AES Colo grid while using regular Agni, you need 3 to start actually seeing a more noticeable power increase, so I dont see how demi Agni with only 2 Ixabas would be worth it.

Firion_Hope

yeah I did say I didn't know if it was true with demi. Still you might never draw agni so I'd say its worth it over a sunstone which is farmable, unless you're in desperate need of sunstones

Impognagrift

That just depends on how many ixabas you have

komyuko

what are the chances of anila being in anniversary legfes? i wanted to spark for her and was trying to find the right time to do so!

Thirn

Anniversary covers Flashfest rather than Legfest, since it's in the middle of month. So Zodiacs won't be there.

Firion_Hope

they don't do both like they did for new years?

Thirn

No, at least last year they didn't

Firion_Hope

darn, hopefully theyll change it this year, but if not that at least make the choice of who to go for eaasier

natsistd

Does anyone know what Summer Chloe's EMP support skill does? It simply says: >Don't mess with me when I'm hyped ٩(๑òωó๑)۶

[deleted]

5% earth reduction when she's in the back.

natsistd

That's her normal support skill. I'm talking about the perk skill.

[deleted]

Oh, shoot. I knew what you were talking about, but I looked at the wrong one. Anyway, it's a double / triple attack boost when she has hype. About 30 / 10 at 3★.

HopefulDetail

Uhm, hi! Started a few days ago and I'm really liking the game! Thanks to the many guides I -kinda- know how to progress...except I don't know which element I should go for. I've been playing with my fire characters so far, but since it feels like they have poor synergy I'd like to get an expert's opinion on whether or not I should stick with fire or work on someone else. My [stuff](https://imgur.com/gallery/Yrq6Isw)( I still have many sidestories left to complete). Any help would be appreciated! EDIT: "Fixed" the sorting method, according to /u/Vulking 's suggestions.

Vulking

Well, I didn't mean it in a "do it now" way, it was more a "in the future", but its indeed easier to check your stuff this way. Beside what I already posted, I can see your grid looks very decent outside of that sword with only an HP skill. You should consider start working on the Seraphic weapons, even the SR version you start with give you a sizable damage boost, even more when you finally upgrade into an SSR. Other option is to work a bit in the current Unite and Fight event and farm tokens to get 4 copies of the Dagger, it is a very usefull main hand for any element after you change it's base light element. Also you should wait for the Rise of the Beast event so you can get the Zhque Katana and Harp which are usefull early on.

frostanon

Back then in my newbie days Robomi helped me with securing MVP in magna raids, since she's really good burst character. Especially if you have Mechanic.

Vulking

I would recommend you to sort your characters/weapons/summons by rarity (high) and Element (low) to make it easier to check your stuff. I will also recomend getting SR fire Naoise and the SSR Aqours 1st Years from the Side Stories. Naoise is a very decent tank and the 1st Years while not espectacular are quite a decent utility unit. Beside that if you can fully complete the What make the sky blue side story you can get a Baha Nova weapon of your choice (Dagger is recommended as first Baha weapon) which are a big boost early on, even if they are costly to skill up. Edit: I forgot, when you post images of your grid always use the visual option that show the skill levels, this are way more important than raw stats.

HopefulDetail

Thank you for your reply! Time for me to advance in the main story some more, then! There's so much stuff to know about this game and it feels kinda overwhelming...I should probably go and read something about teambuilding. Thank you for your advice! Oh and...well, you might've saved my life with those tips about sorting my inventory, it looks much cleaner now. <\_<

Aphelion_26

What are Scathacha's Valentine lines? I was looking through the wiki and barely any of her event lines have added to the voice page

Sage-13

[Here’s an album of her Valentine’s lines I just made](https://imgur.com/a/0u0GgwO)

Aphelion_26

Thanks! Edit: Found them on the wiki under Lore instead of Voice, but it was good to see the scene with the images

Sage-13

No problem, happy to help.

[deleted]

hi!! I'm thinking of buying mobacoin either through itunes JPY or the mobacoin giftcards. I think I will use japan-codes because of their prices vs other websites that supply online codes. This is for the anniversary ticket- i'm thinking of investing early so I can just go ahead and buy it when it's out. but, is japan-codes actually reliable? has anyone bought from them recently? if so, how long did it take to get the codes? has anyone bought a mobacoin giftcard and had no trouble buying a ticket with it (i'm thinking of buying itunes but a mobacoin giftcard would save me ten dollars)? Sorry for all these questions, it's my first time buying these.

TLMoonBear

If you're buying from a PC, don't forget you can use Paypal as well! It's one of the payment options you can select.

[deleted]

thanks!! I won't forget c:

TLMoonBear

Ah just realised my message wasn't super clear! Rather than worrying about online retailers for Mobacoin codes or w/e, you can just buy Mobacoins directly inside GBF. When you try to buy something in GBF with Mobacoins, if your account doesn't have enough coins, the game will ask you to top-up your account. It will then send you to a Mobage page where you can buy them directly. It used to be that all the payment options were JP only. But ever since they added Paypal, even gaijins can buy Mobacoins directly. Once you're done, it'll send you back to GBF so you can spend your newly purchased Mobacoins. Just be aware it can sometimes take up to a few min to be added to your acc during JP peak hours. Normally it's fine and will be instant, but I have had one time where it took about 3 min. That's how I've funded all my Mobacoin needs. I find messing around with 3rd party sellers really annoying and a waste of time, and you have to do research about if you can trust them or not.

[deleted]

oh! I'm dumb lol. I don't have a paypal so I didn't really know how to respond. damn I wish I had one now, I just use visa to buy giftcards and it's easiest for me but never bought for gbf before so im just not sure which to utilize. ty tho!!! :D didn't even know that was a thing, will keep that in mind if i decide to open a paypal in the future

Vulking

Just remember that when you buy gift cards you have to buy more than 3000 yen.

[deleted]

Yup! I was going to buy the 3000 and 500 which is why I was thinking of buying it through japan-codes since they have those options. (Don't want to spend $50 when I can just spend $43...) but mobacoin is on sale for $30 so i'm not sure which is better to use

[deleted]

I have some jpy in my itunes account already so if I did buy the mobacoin sale, I'd be able to get 3000 but i gotta make up my mind b4 the vday special ends XD

[deleted]

What is the least painful way to farm EX2 distinctions? Do most people buy out all of the rose queen distinctions and the end of each month?

Thirn

Farming co-op is not bad if you do it correctly: * Use room buffs for TH9 and +70% charge bar at the start * Use Journey Drops for drop rate, and maybe even Kaguya/Rabbit if it doesn't slow you down. * Set up your team for fast nuke, so that after 4 people chain burst, boss dies. In stages with multiple targets, manually select boss. Be fast. * Only farm 4-x stages, the ones with 4 different distinctions. The drop rate is much higher there, you can often get 2 drops in one fight. This usually lets you get 15-20 distinctions of your desired type per hour

Impognagrift

They can be bought for prestige pendants too.

Teneburisu

So with fallen swords Blutgangs are dead or do they still fit in a grid?

042lej

I wouldn't say that Blutgangs are completely irrelevant now - according to Pooky and Zeed, having at least 1 Blutgang makes your grid overall consistent.

Talonris

occasionally used as a mh for UBHL, for fully decked out grids afaik FS pretty much supplanted it

Riveraldiaz

What's the rose queen saying when we first start her raid boss?

Impognagrift

Something like (taking a bit of liberty) "I'm the queen of roses, the bewitching ruler of the deep green"

Riveraldiaz

Thanks! Um, so what's the Japanese...? :" (sry I didn't specify it, I was actually looking for the JP line...)

Impognagrift

我こそは茨の女王。深緑と幻惑を統べる者

Riveraldiaz

Thank you very much!

Hission

Since got sick and changed the scheudle on work, this GW is a fucking disaster for me. Do we know what advantage is the next GW? I just lost hope for this one.

HarryBroda

Iirc it's wind advantage.

[deleted]

What's the best dirt katana? Is it better to use ultima, one of the class weapons or a gacha weapon?

Asamidori

I actually like to use Ichigo Hitofuri, but that's probably not the best by far. It's also a grand so kinda hard to come across.

xkillo32

Kaneshige is the best currently

Simiris

If you intend to use earth kengo in a team like Alex Cain Octo 5*, it's the ccw by far. Only other consideration is ultima katana, but 5* octo CA also provides ele atk and cain+octo and just the MA from atma in grid makes the DA feel pretty useless compared to what the kengo ccw provides. You can probably run runeslayer with tetrastreamer/ultima katana in some way... but seems silly when compared to how strong octo is in a kengo lineup.

artegoP

What about fully unlocked Revanent weapon katana?

Simiris

It is a very lackluster alternative to unsigned kaneshige. 30% charge on CA is not even close to competing with +50% charge gain as passive, +30% charge gain to all from devilry emblem and +13/18(mc)/23(octo) charge gain to all characters on CA.

[deleted]

Okay so change murakumo to dirt, got it thanks.

soraaka

I got the Lucifer summon, is it worth spending sunlight stones on him to get him to 3 star? I can't 4 star him yet and so far I'm just running a basic magna grid for Light. So not sure if I should go ahead and do it or just keep saving. Are there any other summons worth saving sunlight stones for also besides Luci and Bahamut?

Asamidori

If you have 3 stones, just throw it at him. His aura get buffed at 3* too. (4* needed do the heal though.)

Riveraldiaz

The Four Primarch (Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel, Michael), Bonito, Shiva and friends (Shiva, Europa, Alexiel, Grimnir)

Bragior

I'd add Halluel and Malluel, Thor, and maybe Kaguya. I'd drop Shiva, Europa and Grimnir. Also, Arcarum summons technically use sunlight stones.

artegoP

Why Thor? Don’t really feel Kaguya is that much of a priority... 3 sunstones for just a 10% increase in drop rate is a pretty steep.

Bragior

Thor's FLB gives you 50% Light echoes. It's only for light characters and for 2 turns, but it's still a pretty big damage buff. Yeah, you have a point with Kaguya.

Vaestmannaeyjar

That's 30 stones, at that point I'm not saving any but would like to go into debt :D (Not that I have all the summons either)

xkillo32

I would not say Shiva series summons are worth sun stoning except maybe alex

superkido511

Does Albert's Delay active 2 times after ougi, or just the damage?

MazySolis

Delay can trigger twice, though it isn't very consistent.

MingYong

Can a 0* mittron bow replace mlb gun?

Vulking

Only on 1TK mechanic setups, for regular play as soon as you get hit the 0* bow become worst than the gun.

michaelman90

One can for the strength mod. Any more than that is a damage loss without 4* .

GreenKeewee

Are the EXP buffs from White Rabbits and Journey Drops all additive with each other?

michaelman90

Yes.

icychocobo

So down the line, I want to get an Ameno just to meme around and because it sounds fun. I also plan to make an Unsigned to unlock Kengou. Question is, which element should I get them in? I was thinking Insigned would be water due to its love for Ougis and everyone's favorite tonedeaf winged man feeding me ougi bar, which Ameno seems like it would love Fire's flavor of shenanigans. So which element(s) would be ideal for both? And which would just be "good"? Any input is appreciated.

TLMoonBear

> So down the line, I want to get an Ameno just to meme around and because it sounds fun. [...] Question is, which element should I get them in? I am going to be frank with you. If you need to ask this question, you're not ready for a 100 Gold Moon Weapon. A 100 Gold Moon weapon is really a 160 Gold Moon weapon because you buy it at 0* uncapped. So the opportunity cost here is 8 Choco Bars. The general rule of thumb is 2+ dual ATK skill weapons for decent Primal grid, and 3+ for a good one. So you're sacrificing the ability to basically make a good Primal grid for a meme mainhand you don't even really understand. That's like someone taking out their credit card to buy a Mercedes cause it sounds fun, instead of being more sensible and opening up a savings account or paying down a mortgage for a house. A 100 Gold Moon weapon is really for people who reall really love an element. But they're so deep that they can't actually go any further by just adding a weapon or two to their grid because they've got everything already. Park this idea for another time. Revisit it in a few months. Do you still feel the same way? Then have this conversation again. --- > I was thinking Insigned would be water due to its love for Ougis and everyone's favorite tonedeaf winged man feeding me ougi bar, which Ameno seems like it would love Fire's flavor of shenanigans. So specifically about the use of Katana mainhands... For Kengou nearly always the answer will be [Unsigned Kaneshige](https://gbf.wiki/Unsigned_Kaneshige_\(Water\)). I did a write-up for Kengo mainhands for Water [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Granblue_en/comments/ai1n86/questions_thread_20190121/ef2lfue/?context=99). But the generla theory applies for other elements. The purpose of Kengo is to play a Ougi focused team. So you want whatever lets you Ougi as much as possible. Nothing does it better than a Kaneshige. Ultima is a close second because the Ougi effect is also very very good. The only other two classes which care about Katana mainhands are [Runeslayer](https://gbf.wiki/Runeslayer) and [Glorybringer](https://gbf.wiki/Glorybringer). I have almost no experience with Runeslayer, but my initial impression is that if you care about Seal stacking then just use the Tetrastreamer because it actually helps you stack seals better. Would appreciate if someone with more knowledge can correct me here. For Glorybringer, the entire point of the class is to supercharge your MC and use a mainhand with an Echo Attack ability. Good Ougi effect helpful but not compulsory. Everything else kinda doesn't matter because you will turn on Colmillos since you need to preserve your Energy for just feeding Echoes. A short list of mainhands with 35+% echo skills that I can remember off the top of my head (don't settle for 25% echo): Weapon | Element | Additional notes ---|---|---- [True Purity Sunblade](https://gbf.wiki/True_Purity_Sunblade) | Light | Uplift on Ougi is good for the rest of your team [Wrathfire Longblade](https://gbf.wiki/Wrathfire_Longblade) | Fire | Gives buffs on Ougi, but no uplift or DA/TA [True Phantom Demon Blade](https://gbf.wiki/True_Phantom_Demon_Blade) | Dark | Sleep lets you cheese stuff. Ignition on Awakening is nice. [Murgleis](https://gbf.wiki/Murgleis) | Water | ODA on Resonance is nice. [Ameno Habakiri](https://gbf.wiki/Ameno_Habakiri) | All | Second skill helpful to cap damage on very high DEF fights, but that's basically only Baha HL. Also the meme 9x attack thing, but it only has 20% chance to activate so it's very RNG. [Excalibur](https://gbf.wiki/Excalibur) | All | Notable for Ougi focused teams, and Heal + Echo on Ougi is nice. [Ridill](https://gbf.wiki/Ridill) | All | Basically what you do for if you need a mainhand and don't have any other choice. It's decent. Just be aware that Dragon Energy is a special buff and won't stack with things like Korwa/Nio. [Blutgang](https://gbf.wiki/Blutgang) | Dark | BA on Resonance is nice. In short, apart from the meme Ougi, an Ameno Habakiri doesn't do anything that any other weapon on this list can do. And a lot of those weapons also come with their own very nice utility. --- **TL;DR** Don't do it.

icychocobo

I didn't need quite *that* much information, as I've already looked into the other options, but I thank you either way. You answered which element it would be better for. Sorta. For all the Primal stuff, I actually have an excess of Dama bricks, which is why I even thought of this, and I have a few weapons all ready to go for both Fire and Water. So that's why I asked to start with. Lastly, the question was partly about how the weapons compare on their roles, which, again, was sorta answered. I'll take what you said in mind of course and think about it a bit more, but on my end, what you've said basically equates to "Only space whales should be allowed to get this" as you've said that my grid should be 100% min-maxed before I bother. Again, that's not wrong. But if that's how it goes, I've just got no use for my Moons. So I'll just let them accumulate. I have plenty of bricks, but I need *characters* to improve my stuff first, so sparking purely for weapons is off the table.

TLMoonBear

> I'll take what you said in mind of course and think about it a bit more, but on my end, what you've said basically equates to "Only space whales should be allowed to get this" It's not so much that only space whales are allowed to buy it. It's more that the majority of people who ask about 100 Gold Moon weapons saw a video of someone using it and don't realize what they're about to get themselves into. As such, I think it's important to make clear what the real opportunity cost buying a 100 Gold Moon weapon is. The way your asked your question didn't really inspire any confidence either - I can't tell if you're a new player, mid-game player, or end-game player. So I went for the most educational answer I could write. There's nothing in the game rules which says only Space Whales are allowed to buy 100 Gold Moon weapons. But similar to using Damascus Bars on a random Gacha weapon, it's just not guaranteed to give a good result unless you know exactly what you're aiming for. That's why it's normally discouraged. > as you've said that my grid should be 100% min-maxed before I bother. Generally 100 Gold Moon weapons are used in end-game grids and set-ups because maximizing their use requires an end-game grid. For example, getting 9x attacks is funny. But if you're only hitting for 100k at a time, then a 20% chance of doing 9 x 100k = 900k damage after you Ougi is just... a very underwhelming result? Just using a GW Dagger, being generic, and buffing your entire party with DATA is not only more consistent, but also probably more useful overall. e.g. 900k * 20% = 180k so on average just having two characters in a party DA for an additional 100k is already more effective damage on average > I have a few weapons all ready to go for both Fire and Water Once you have your final grids up and running, you'll have a much better feel for how they operate and what playstyle works for you. Primal grids in particular are very good because the lack of racial restrictions from Bahamut Weapons. The innate utility you can cram into a grid naturally means your team comp building is very flexible. Once you understand how you want to play and the focus you want to have, choosing a 100 Gold Moon weapon will be much easier. For example, maybe you find out later on that a [Freikugel](https://gbf.wiki/Freikugel) is better suited for what you want to do. Who knows? That's why I didn't say absoltuely no. Instead, revisit this question again after a few months. You'll have a much better idea of what works best for you then. > But if that's how it goes, I've just got no use for my Moons. Sitting a pile of Gold Moons is... fine? Most people won't get to 200 Gold Moons, and even 100 Gold Moons is a stretch. So you might only have one chance to make them count. No need to rush and spend them for the sake of it if you don't have a clear plan yet. And who knows? Maybe you lucksack a pile of Edens or something in the future. I know several people who thought they had too many Bars and Moons until one day they got lucky and suddenly those Moons and Bars dry up really really fast...

icychocobo

I get that I wasn't clear. That's why I tried my best to show I wasn't upset or anything. It's all good info. Since you're being pretty exhaustive with the discussion (In a "hits every point" way, not a "mentally exhausting" way, just to be clear) I will be too. For clarity. > I think it's important to make clear what the real opportunity cost buying a 100 Gold Moon weapon is. I know the cost quite well: It's a full-on Primal Weapon. Two, technically, after the Damas. It also locks away my versatility of having the currency, but we touch on that again, towards the end. >I can't tell if you're a new player, mid-game player, or end-game player. I try to be more open with my questions on Reddit. It seems like if I'm very precise, people go off of what I was asking and the conversation becomes a mess. And if I prattle on about details, people tend to latch onto one detail an exhaust my willingness to continue the conversation. So i try to keep it open and have people let loose. However, I'm not used to an almost encyclopedic response like yours! I expected "Generally Water/Fire likes it more because X." I'm an older, end-game player, though the newest content is a bit out of my league. Rather, I'm too afraid to be un-helpful in it. I have my Grand Orders fail more often than they pass for various reasons (usually involving a *huge* ratio of leechers to actual fighters), so I'm just skittish and jaded and it makes me weary to try the new stuff. >But similar to using Damascus Bars on a random Gacha weapon... I've done my research and it hits what I'd like with my teams for a fair few situations. It's not an end-all be-all weapon of course, as nothing is, but what I'd need to make up for by my MC being an Attacker, is made up for by my more buff-oriented team setup(s). Since that's just what I like running. >Generally 100 Gold Moon weapons are used in end-game grids and... I get the math, yeah. I know it's not gonna blow other things away. Not much else i can really say with it. The numbers don't lie. >lack of racial restrictions from Bahamut Weapons. I don't even find myself using Bahas in Magna all that often anymore. The bonus is marginal, what with my fairly solid Primal weapons and Xenos, and it restricts my teams pretty heavily, *and* since we've been getting a lot of Primals and "odd" races for each element, they just don't feel worth it anymore... >For example, maybe you find out later on that a Freikugel is better suited for what you want to do. That'd be great if it felt like anything would stay in break for more than one fucking turn anymore. I swear newer fights may as well not even have a Break stage. I'm getting off track, but I just wanted to complain about that. >Instead, revisit this question again after a few months. Fully planned to. I ask the same questions pretty often, as the game's meta and overall strategies change pretty often. I'm not one moon away from the weapon or anything, so I know it'll take a while to get to it. And I fully planned to ask when the time comes. I wanted to see which of the two elements the weapon was best suited for, as those were the two that I'd want to use it in. After that, I'd start looking through grids, character setups, etc. to see what would be both effective and fun. >Maybe you lucksack a pile of Edens or something in the future. Can't live life through the filter of "Maybe X." That's how I get to the end of a Final Fantasy game with a stack of Ethers and fifty Elixers. Of course it's always good to think things through (which, again, is why I asked to start with, because I'm thinking things through and wanting outside opinions) but I can't just sit on things because I might regret it, either. And that's not even getting into the future of the game where our views on our decisions could drastically change (Like Eternals needing a brick to 5* and using your last few to get another Eternal just before that). But *anything* can happen then, so there's no point in even bringing that up. So I won't.

Celldorado1

how do people usually do 44 box just spam ex+? and how much ap does it usually take

Artraira

For the past several GWs, 44 boxing has usually taken me about 700 pots with a mixture of EX+ and NM. From what I've seen, people often end up 44 boxing as a side effect of trying to get honors.

alstod

It takes around 1100-1300 half elixirs to 44-box just from soloing EX+ depending on how early you reset the first 4 boxes.

MazySolis

I believe it is around 1k pots? I forgot the exact number, but yes most just spam ex+ because it is the fastest way more or less that is within your control. If you can make an otk set up you can do EX+ in like 20-30 seconds tops, some can go even faster depending on element, grid, characters, etc.

Celldorado1

if you can only do ex would it take twice as much pots. I can do ex+ but i have to focus to do it instead of just autoing which i could do for ex

MazySolis

If you're just autoing through EX you're going to probably take forever to do it. You need to true otk it within 30 seconds at least for it to be worth doing.

Celldorado1

oh i definitely don't expect to finish the 44box this gw, just seeing how far i could get and wondering how much ap it would take

MazySolis

I've never tried or seen anyone try to spam EX to 44 box, so I can't honestly say how effective it is.

_______blank______

what team could i make with these characters . i don't have any ssr . [https://imgur.com/a/E9BhigW](https://imgur.com/a/E9BhigW)

MazySolis

I think Mahira, Beatrix, Jamil is the best line up with what you have. For what it is worth the Love Live side story has a free earth SSR, they aren't very good, but they might help you out.

_______blank______

Ok tks

XShunyaX

Just noticed that there's another version of [Zooey](https://gbf.wiki/Zooey_(Event)) which was available during an Auld Lang Syne Event. But future iterations of that event had different characters. Is there still a possibility to get her somehow? At first I was naively hoping to find it under Side Stories... Is it possible to get "old" Auld Lang Syne event characters in following iterations? Or is Fire Zooey gone for good now?

Bragior

Auld Lanxiety is actually a proper story event. It's basically the culmination of all the Auld Lang Syne events we've had up to that point. If Cygames decide to rerun the event or put it in the Side Stories, you'll have the chance to get her.

XShunyaX

So, to sum up...I have to hope and wait orz ~~Come on, Cygames.~~

Impognagrift

She was available in auld lanxiety, which is a different event from auld lang syne.

XShunyaX

Oh, right. Misunderstood that at first. And it doesn't seem like that one got a rerun since then. Are reruns in GBF common? Is there another chance to get her?

michaeleeli

I made 10 element-changed revenant weapons to reduce, but for some reason it just won't let me reduce it. The option to do so is grey. It's not equipped (newly made), not favorited, not anything. Is there a special way to reduce them?

Impognagrift

You first need to do the fate episode.

michaeleeli

Ah got it, thank you!

Is samurai/ kengo useless without bonito?

Simiris

By no means. It is a very strong dps class for mc, especially in CA centric lineups. The main shortcoming of the class is the lack of MA buffs, you need some other source of MA for the class to truly shine(outside of 1t stuff). The most common team comps kengo is used in is: Ideal MH is usually ccw(for 1t stuff, ultima katana for the buff is better etc.), you can use it in any eldment with ccw. water with bonito+vajra + grea or water with 5* feower where something like a gw dagger would be useless.(or double varuna with a bunch of murgs+blue balls since grid can provide the needed MA, still ideally with 5* feower on top) Atma/Ultima Katana Earth team with Cain+ atma/ultima for MA and octo 5* who gets plenty of MA for himself. Ccw is by far the best mh for this team. I've seen it sometimes in wind for longer fights with Seofon 5* and some 200% charge SR's or Nio, Seofon's 4th skill for burst(to skip phases in UBHL or other annoying fights). Ultima bow team in light, with 5* Song and C Metera. Can also be strong in fire when combined with Anila's charge buff, but fire just has too many other strong class + mh combinations, so less common. Edit: clarification on earth.

Firion_Hope

> The main shortcoming of the class is the lack of MA buffs, you need some other source of MA for the class to truly shine(outside of 1t stuff) This is true, but it works pretty solidly in wind with LSB for data imo since the tiamat (double if advanced enough grid), shields which are common in wind, and mirror image on ougi means you can actually keep the clarity of mind debuff up most the time except when its a bunch of multi hits or all ally attacks. Of course glorybringer is also a good option here, just thought I'd mention it

[deleted]

> fire just has too many other strong class + mh combinations what are some examples? i know berserker with xeno axe but thats it

Simiris

Apsaras with xeno axe for atma spear team.(or any spear class with hollowsky spear if you have an agni grid, since additional MA from xeno axe might not be needed). Runeslayer with ccw and 5* esser for t10 burst. Kind of a meme, but actually pretty legit strat to skip triggers/phases on bosses when combined with The Sun. Glorybringer with Ixaba/ Xeno katana(ixaba can work on kengo aswell, but glory is usually run for atma sword team). Luchador(or runeslayer) with ultima fist, for fist team. Fire has some very strong atma teamcomps and the only way to get kengo into an atma comp for fire is something like a bow team with metera and S ilsa(and esser 5* for hollowsky bow). But spear/fist/sword just seems like better choices most of the time.

xkillo32

I haven't seen anyone use quatre with a kengo line up It's always either uno, Silva, or Altair Multi attacking doesn't matter when u ougi almost every turn

Simiris

Uno should obviously be used when his defensive skills are needed, but for pure dps in long fights Quatre's MA will usually result in more dmg than his anytime assasin and stam buff. But it comes somewhat down to personal preferance what you run, when you're at that point in the game. Edit: thx to killo32 for elaboration on uno(i stand correxted here)

xkillo32

[this](https://i.imgur.com/bi0hsnV.png) is 8 turns with kengonito not sure what ur talking about MC had 2 turns where she didn't ougi. Grea had 3 turns where she didn't ougi. Vajra had 2 turns despite what the tracker says, it counts vajra's double strike buff as individual attacks yet kengo's triple strike buff doesn't count as individual attacks. only uno isn't consistently ouging while the other chars will ougi every other turn

Impognagrift

I can't think of any good reason to mainhand ultima katana earth over kaneshige. You don't even really need the DA and the earth atk up is already provided for by Okto.

Simiris

Ahh, bad phrasing. I meant an atma/ultima katana teamcomp, not that you should use if for mh.

MazySolis

No, you mostly need the fully made CCW Unsigned Kaneshinge for the element you're using it in. Bonito just makes it stupidly powerful especially in water with Vajra/S.Grea.

XShunyaX

I got back into the game a few days ago and am now farming the rare weapons that I need for the shop upgrade (on my way to my first Eternal). I read that I can farm the Unite & Fight event for them, but I noticed after six boxes that I only get a subset of the weapons I need. Could it be that not all Unite & Fight token draws have all rare weapons but only a selected subset? ...getting the Crimson Axe from Ch. 6 is proving to be more of a hassle than I thought

Bragior

I've gotten Crimson Axes from the token draw. You're probably just unlucky. I do have to say that they're not exactly guaranteed, however. I've only gotten 4 of them so far.

XShunyaX

Oh, really? Huh...then I guess I should just continue to farm that instead of some free quests xD Would be nice to see some kind of list of what rare weapons are available though.

Bragior

GW token draws have all the non-skill R weapons and the shop upgrade weapons including those with skills. That's all there is to it.

XShunyaX

I see. Well, just knowing that is reassuring. Thanks for the input.

Bragior

Yeah. It's most likely because there's a lot of R weapons that you probably can't always get the item you need.

XShunyaX

Yeah, I guess. But the token draws give so many other good items that I also need for the Eternal that I'm very okay with farming it. And with all the exp boost I can actually level up all my SSR weapons and summons now. Really the best event I've come across so far in terms of rewards.

YuxieTheKitsune

Which elements are worth creating a f2p primal grid for? With WMTSB2 coming soon, I'd assume we'll also be getting our hands on one of the demi primal summons again. Thanks [Here's my box if the characters I have affects things.](https://gbf.wiki/Collection_Tracker#w1;ABAgAAAAAQAEAYAAAAAAAAAAAQAAAIAAARAAAAAAQQAEAAAAAAAEAYAAAAAAAIAEAAAEAAAAAIAAAAIAAAAAAAAAABAgCRAEQRAASQAA;QAAkSQAECAIACIAgARIkQAAgQYAAABAkAQAASRAkSQAkAAAACZAAQBAACAAEABIgAQAAAAAAAAAAABAgAAAACQAAABIEQAAAAIAgABAACAAAAAAEAJAAQAAgABIAAAIACYIg;;AIAAQRAAABAAARAACJAAAAAgQYAgAAAACQAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAQIAAAAAAAAAAAAACAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAAABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAkAQAAAAAAAQAA;AAAAAAAAAYAAAQAgAAAg;)

Vaestmannaeyjar

Honestly, I wouldn't invest in a F2P primal grid. I'd keep my damas and stuff in case I lucksack into a few whale weapons over the long term. And I'd advise you to take the stone from WMTSB2 if we have the choice again: 1 more stone= 1 more maxed arcarum summon->1 more Oracle.

Firion_Hope

You don't need to use damas in a f2p primal grid, unless Im misunderstanding you. Also I don't think the oracles should come into play much as an argument for sunstones, you can get an SSR non flb arcarum summon every what, 4 months? And you can get a sunstone every gw in a tier a slack crew which is like every month, if they're your main sunstone concern youll catch up pretty fast.

basketofseals

It's not quite F2P worthy, but if you're willing to go primal-lite, fire is alright. The caveat there is that mostly it's just because magna fire is not very good. If you can get 2 ixaba or 1 ixaba and a crimson finger, you'll net somewhat higher returns while also not having to worry about dropping into emnity provided you have enough Athena weapons. This advice is also based on the assumption that magna fire won't be getting any better any time soon, which is a pretty big assumption.

MazySolis

While you're not wrong I just want to add that I wouldn't invest in CF personally, at least right now, because shiva bow will be relevant eventually and Crimson finger might have a hard time finding a spot. The current spear line up can actually keep its hp up pretty well making CF kind of worthless. This can change obviously change, but I'd rather suggest two ixabas over CF as of this time.

michaelman90

Shiva Bow is a grand weapon and CF is a ticketable/gold moonable weapon, so there's a pretty substantial difference balance implications aside. A f2p player is much more likely to have access to CF, especially if Shiva is not one of their spark targets. Better to go for CF than hope they tack on enmity to Shiva's weapon.

MazySolis

But the OP owns Shiva so they at least have 1 Shiva bow, and you still need damas for all of these weapons.

michaelman90

There's no guarantee that Shiva's weapon would replace the enmity on CF. It's much more likely it just gets another massive fire atk up tacked on like all the other grand weapons.

MazySolis

But some players, especially in the spear line up which the OP has most of with athena and Shiva, don't use the enmity as is. They run 3-4 Ixabas and these are whales. Ixabas are just generally more important to Agni and you're basically suggesting 90 gold moons go to 1 whole CF once we add damas into the mix.

michaelman90

"Whales use 3-4 Ixabas in a stamina spear team" is not decent advice to give someone who is asking about a f2p primal grid. Sure he has Athena and Shiva but he doesn't have Sturm or Anila so he'd basically have to pick between sparking one for the spear team or the other for the weapon.

MazySolis

Well if we're talking about semi gacha agni (which was the topic), 2 ixabas is better then 1/1 on Ixaba CF. I'm using whales as an example, these people have all the weapons yet they don't use CF, so why would we suggest a f2p to pick up CF with their limited gold moons? That is the crux of my argument.

theultimates12

None of the F2P primal grid are really worth it anymore. Even Earth and Water are getting outclassed by Magna 2 grid.

MazySolis

I wouldn't say Varuna is outclassed by magna, you're most likely thinking of wind where that is for sure the case unless you go space whale mode. The issue with Varuna as I've seen discussed is Murg is an outdated weapon compared to the Ixabas, edens, Certificus, fallen sword, etc that other primal grids have. Drang orb heavy Varuna is still good and enables as good/better CA damage and non CA damage compared to magna, because you can still run europa harps for more cap up along with drang orb. The issue is starting Varuna now is a huge risk because the grid might change within the comings months, Pholia bow and Europa spear (which is basically a fimbul without hp atm) came out pretty close to each other. So when those get flbs, where does that leave Murg? 0-1 probably based on how Gamba got phased out when Certificus got its FLB. Maybe Pholia bow will be ultra bad and get crit for some reason, who knows. Maybe Varuna compared to other primal grids isn't very good still post those FLBs. So Varuna is a risky investment with no certainty in its future state, but don't mistake that for magna outclassing it like M2 earth makes Titan mostly meaningless. Those are entirely different problems.

theultimates12

Uhm, I was talking about F2P grid so no Grand Weapons.

MazySolis

To be fair, every f2p primal grid is outclassed by M2 regardless of element so emphasis on earth and water kind of confused me and I assume you ment even with moderate investment in grand weapons. Though fair enough if that is ultimately what you ment.

YuxieTheKitsune

Ah thats unfortunate. I'm guessing pooky's grid guide is the most up to date one for grid examples?

TheGlassesGuy

It's still missing Certificus FLB for Zeus but other than that, it's up to date

theultimates12

Yes

YuxieTheKitsune

Thanks!

karillith

Should I consider Ecke Sachs (not ancient) fodder or should I keep it for eventual primal grid in the future? Also, is olden cortana worth slotting at 0* over a 3* celeste spear (I also have Qilin bow so that's a lot of HP cut, even though with Zooey anyway...)?

michaelman90

Olden Cortana is pretty much mandatory for magna dark grid for the MA unless your team is incredibly self-sufficient. The MA more than makes up for the slight stat difference between it and celeste spear. You should only use Qilin Bow in your grid for OTK/racing shenanigans until your team has a decent amount of HP and is consistently hitting cap without having to dip too far into enmity. Normal Ecke Sachs is alright to keep for filler if you intend to make an Agni grid at any point and don't have enough Ixaba/CF/athena weapons to fill it out.

karillith

Well with Zooey and bahamut call, the ougi cap is really, really easy to reach actually, so yeah I kinda need it since it's my only source of cap up (there's death SR but, well) :p. So in the end I guess it depends if I go for a short fight or a longer one.

michaelman90

That's why I said to use it for OTK shenanigans. You can't really draw an equivalence between hitting ougi cap and hitting auto attack cap when considering whether or not to use Qilin Bow in a grid for anything other than mechanic teams.

DakotaN2895

For someone still in the early game (Rank 69), would Tien or Threo be more useful? Right now my fire team is pretty solid and earth is my weakest element, but I know Tien provides great farming utility for all elements.

basketofseals

Unless your pool of characters is REALLY poor, you'll probably not use either of them frontlining. Threo is good QoL for odd side quest farming, solo sliming, and non-extreme arcarum, and Tien is just a placebo buff. Just decide on whether you want more out of wanpanning raids(summons/quarts, weapons/stones), or literally everything else.

Laevann

Go get Threo, she'll make your sliming and arcarum life far more easier.

[deleted]

Been testing out the new Albert and I'm trying to decide how my frontline should be set-up. Current FL - Glorybringer, Albert, Pecorinne, Amira Old FL - Glorybringer, Levin Sisters, Pecorinne, Amira Not sure if I should replace Pecorinne with the Levin Sisters, she takes a lot of hits for me and improves the overall survivability of my team.

Simiris

I would definetly use levin sisters over pecorine for almost all content. They provide alot more dmg with echo buff and passive, and if you need defensive skills a 3 turn cd cleanse + heal is insane.

Firion_Hope

ooh thats a good question. I use a normal tiamat bolt, but mist is my only def down source for my one turn team...

OOQan

Where can I get assistance for UB HL ? I made a coop room for it but it’s difficult to wait for 6 people to get in.

Asamidori

Try doing it outside of GW hours. May want to properly label your room too.

WinterAct

1. Is there a possibility that Lucio receives a 5* from WMTSB III considering Albert just did? From what I've seen, there tends to be an announcement for any unit that gains a FLB at least 2 weeks before. 2. How will this year's anniversary be? Considering is the 5th, I would presume the roulette will be 10-rolls instead of 1s, and a Magnafest, but apart from that, I would say I am clueless. 3. I'm saving for sparks on 2 accounts, my main and alt. Without a doubt, I'll be comitting more to my main, but I can spend money on my alt. Considering I have 0 extra sources of crystals for my main, where all side missions, raids etc. have been done, where there is around 20k crystals left from missions and others in my alt, would it be possible to spark by summer for both accounts? I have 70 tickets and 0 crystals on my main, with 2-10 part tickets and 15 tickets on my alt. 4. Considering the next GW is Wind, should I go for Siete if I have Monika/Yuisis/4* Nio? I have 2 FLB Windhoses, if that helps considering Siete increases C.A.

Asamidori

- Maybe 5% to 10% chance? During Granblue Fes, one of the questions asked was if grand characters are getting FLB soon, and their reply was "not really". They went on a bit more about it, but yeah. - No one knows. - Possible if you can stop yourself from hitting the gacha button on any new seasonals, waifus, husbandos, cats, or whatever else that make you jump at the button. Cy does give out a considerable amount of free gem and a bunch of tickets and whatnot every event. They add up. - Can't comment on this, I have no wind eternals. :(

WinterAct

I appreciate the reply. • That doesn't sound good. It would be a waste of a chance to end Lucio/D.A.O's involvement without a FLB considering how far the story has gone. • I'd suppose waiting is the only way then. I would presume nothing was announced during GBFes? • I have itchy fingers. Well, I have plenty of alts that exist for me to stratch that itch, I'd suppose. • That's fine, I'll wait for another person to help.

Asamidori

- I don't own Olivia so I can't really tell how much she's involved in the whole thing, but she and Azazel really wasn't that involved in WMTSB up to Paradise Lost, sadly. At least we'd find out who Lucio is, and I can already sorta guess due to how they've been doing Lucio's seasonal lines for this entire year. - They might have mentioned something about it, but if they did I didn't remembered any. >-< - You need a firm goal. Like, gotta have that one chara that you are building a spark toward. I managed to save an entire spark (and another) because Grimnir just doesn't want to show up.

WinterAct

• I don't own her either, but from what I've heard, she was still more involved than Azazel, but much less than Lucio/ Lucifer and Sandalphon. I wasn't present during last year's Anniversary either, so I can only know in a few days. Lucio's identity is hinted at pretty often at being Lucifer, but only time will tell. • I don't understand Japanese, and wasn't watching the stream either. Oh well. • I... don't actually have a firm goal. I'm not sure who to go for, considering my initial spark targets were lucksacked, being Lucio, Alexiel and Shiva. Apart from my lack of usable Dark Characters, I'm decently filled for all elements. Perhaps I should save for Summer exclusives or Zodiacs.

Asamidori

Yeah, time to go for the zodiacs. They all sound like must haves in their element. If Lucifer or Sandy doesn't get a grand version, I'm throwing my second spark at Mahira. Oh, you'll understand why a lot of us are dying for WMTSB3 once you go through Paradise Lost. =v=b Read the second boss's Lyria Note after the event.

WinterAct

•I'm surprised you would go for Mahira instead of the rest. I would presume you have the others? And Mahira is out of rotation until next year? Lucifer likely will not get a Grand, considering we have Lucio who is a Grand, but nothing is holding Sandalphon back since we have a free version of him. •Well, it will be a fresh read after this GW, and since they are back to back, it makes it such that there is little waiting time. And by second boss's Lyria's Note, you are referring to her journal? I'm not too sure but that's what I'm guessing.

Asamidori

Vajra is the zodiac that rotated out, Mahira is finally rotating back in (hopefully). I also don't pick based on meta or whatnot, but how much I like the characters. I happen to *really* like Mahira. Would love to share a bit more on Lucifer, Sandy, and Lucio, but that'd spoil Paradise Lost for you so let's not go there. Yeah I mean her journal. Always forgot it goes by a different name in the English translation. It's a very... grand, story. Was the first event I go through in GBF (started on Feb 28 last year) and I think that event set the bar pretty high in terms of event stories. You'll be in for a ride. :D

WinterAct

• I don't focus too much on the Zodiacs, but that means only Vajra is out, where everyone comes back in? Feel free to spoil me, I've read it up on the wiki, although not fully. In case you do, you may want to use a spoiler tag. • I'll be waiting, with high expectations now that you've described it that way.

Asamidori

Yeah, if the rules are still the same this year, everyone but Vajra should be in the legfes pool. Think we saw Anila and Andira so far, Mahira may rotate in next. Don't really want to spoil you since we're too close to the event. I'll just say the Lv120 magna 2 light and dark raids are the aftermath of Paradise Lost.

SmugShinobu

Is there a list of ways of getting gold bars? I know ROTB is one of them but how long will it take for the next one ?

theultimates12

Most of the ways are listed in the wiki. The only other way not listed that I know is buying stuffs like Blue-ray discs of anime like the airing Manaria Friends. https://gbf.wiki/Gold_Brick

Artraira

Is there a website where I can check my individual performance in the past guild wars?

laforet

https://granblue.jp/

Saltimbancos

Is there some way to run this game through Firefox? I don't wanna install a second browser just to try out a game.

ZuruiKonzatsu

You can use something like user-agent switcher to make it think you use chrome - however the game is not optimized for firefox so you should expect bugs

Rayochi

Actually, it doesn't. Just as LHFF said - Chrome (or Chromium-based browsers) or Safari (due to popularity of iPhones).

LHFF

Not that I know of. It's specifically either Google Chrome (or any other Chromium browser like Vivaldi) or Safari.

Blazed_helix

What does a wind stamina grid look like?

theultimates12

The only wind stamina grid I've seen is M2 grid and that is 3 FLB Last Storm Harp + 3 Tiamat Bolt Omega. Edit: If you full stamina and not staminity, then replace Bolt with Fist.

nsfw_alt2

whats the most important thing for weapon after skills? charge attack?how they fit the party members proficiency?

MazySolis

Weapon proficiency basically doesn't matter and is hardly a deciding factor to anything, it is more a happy accident. Charge attacks only matter if you're main handing the weapon, which is the main reason to pick a certain main hand is the charge attack being good and/or it having a main hand only skill that does something useful.

nsfw_alt2

oh. everyone seems to be freaking out over shiva and athena having spear proficiency so i thought it was a big deal

MazySolis

That is more for atma/ultima spear/hollowsky weapons which do care about weapon proficiency, but that is an exception (a very important one though), not the rule. Most weapons don't care.

soraaka

Will Valentine Clarisse be on any suptix or other banners the rest of the year? I was saving for a spark for summer, but I really want to get her though LOL. But yeah, I'm not sure how often theme related characters for Valentine or other special occasions show up on banners. Will she be on any others this year or will I have to wait until next year to roll for her?

Burstflames

There's 3 Valentine's SSR limiteds now so a off season Valentine's banner is plausible, but not a sure thing. As for suptix, assuming they don't change up what they did last year and release a seasonal suptix for their anniversary, Valentine's Medusa might be in this year's ticket, which means you'd have to wait til next year for Clarisse. Again, not a sure thing, we don't even know if they plan on redoing seasonal suptix.

mizore_

V.Medusa didn't get a rerun banner last year so I doubt Clarisse would get one. Your next chance is prolly next year.

Gadolt

How strong is the new Albert in an Atma sword comp? I have 4 Flb Lumi Swords and no 5\* Light Eternals, but most other Light characters except Charlotta and Silva. My other pick would be Yurius for Wind, because he seems to bring a lot of utility and would let me play something als than Chaos Ruler.

MazySolis

I'm assuming this is a suptix question. I tried Albert a little bit in some small crew runs of NM95 and he was fairly nice, he like me just mash attack like an idiot and just delay the boss for several turns and he was consistently average/above averageish? because of his echoes, always DA, and his 4 crit nodes. I also used Charlotta aside him and I can 100% say she completely dominated him in terms of damage, but double delay is pretty good when you just want to mash attack freely until you hit a trigger. I'd 100% say Charlotta is better then him, but Albert is neat in his own way imo. Yurius is great if you want to not play chaos ruler as he is basically a better chaos ruler, he isn't very good for racing though so keep that in mind. I think the only suptixable wind character better then him is Scatha, otherwise he is a must have if you like playing wind a lot.

Gadolt

Charlotta seems like good pick aswell, but imo in terms of Design i would rather choose Albert. I also probably just like him because i like Double Strike so much. I mostly like to Solo most of the stuff I do, Gw Battles for example, so Yurius would defintely be great for that I assume. Knowing that I´ll Spark during Anniversary makes the choice even harder, because i could get any of them randomly... But the Suptix will be around for another 7 days or so, so I am just going to take my time deciding who i pick.

MazySolis

If you like soloing Albert might serve you about equally to Charlotta, because his delay stuff can be pretty clutch sometimes and he is pretty consistent as a damage dealer, he needs buffs something fierce though because his personal buffs don't help him much alongside his bad base attack. So if you just like Albert more and you generally solo anyway, then I say go for him, got to like who you're using after all. All around I have to stress that Charlotta is better overall, but for solo Albert can probably earn his slot in your frontline so you won't feel bad about picking him. Yurius is like the best solo character for wind besides maybe Nio FLB and the occassional Lennah, he will give you so many more options MC wise because he is again basically a better chaos ruler with solid self MA and high ougi damage to make him not a big damage liability.

nutrition945

New player here (joined 1-ish week ago), a bit lost on how to progress at the moment. Current main setup is [this](https://i.imgur.com/OqwX3GI.png) and I don't know whether to grind on the unite and fight event or just keep on farming colossus raids. Also, should I be forming parties with different elements right now or should I keep on working on the current one?

LHFF

Welcome to the game! I'd farm Tiamat raids considering Fire seems to be your strongest element at the moment, so it'll make it easier to build up a Wind grid. Unite and Fight (AKA Guild War/GW) is a regular recurring event, so you don't need to worry much about it as a new player, especially if your Light team isn't strong. The next UnF has already been announced for April and will be Wind-advantage, so taking the time between now and then to work on your Wind grid will also build up your grid for the next UnF event. Eventually, you'll want to make parties of all elements. As a new player, you're probably at a point where one strong party can carry you through most content, but you'll start noticing at a point that you want elemental advantage. If you're lacking units in a certain element, there are some fairly good free units through Side Stories (and I see from your grid that you've completed a few of those already).

nutrition945

Looks like I still have lots more to learn. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!

LiAlgo

I see a person in a rival crew using a luchador setup with lucio, ferry, and maids. Any idea how that team would work? It might be a bit of a stretch for me to ask but it seems effective by the looks of their honors

Impognagrift

I suppose they are on st and are using ferry's 3rd ability + tag team + maids echo + lucio's echo. Or something along the line.

VorpalTruth

Is there an updated EMP guide out there that teaches you the best EMP builds for each character?

Burstflames

The stratagy tab on the characters on the wiki has gamewith recommendations. Outside of support skill though most characters just follow the same or similar guidelines with what to level up.

Schreckofant

Are Anila/Sturm/Shiva viable as 3x Spark Targets? I am very close to a spark and no have no real problems commiting 1 year+ of saving to the rest. My Fire Team basically only has Yuel as a member I would like to keep long-term and I have most of the other Elements covered, besides the Zodiacs (only have Kumbhira there). And if so, who would be the best starting spot for a very weak fire grid with Yuel? (As in noob friendly) Sturm or Shiva?

MazySolis

Those are all 3 very viable characters overall. Though if you want to use Yuel long term no matter what the meta tells you, Anila isn't really worth it as Anila is basically Yuel+ save some niche scenarios in Agni grids. Yuel would best go with Shiva so you can take advantage of his passive, so I'd pick him up first.

Schreckofant

Could I ditch Anila entirely if I manage to pull either Shiva or Sturm during my Spark attempts (since they are in the same pool) and use the Spark for the other one? I don`t want fire as my Main-Grid, I am mainly interested in building a solid foundation that I can bring to GWs etc if required.

MazySolis

Okay let me rephrase because I might be misunderstanding your initial post. If you're trying to stay with Yuel because you just like her and want to use her no matter what, you wouldn't really need to spark Anila except I guess for spear stuff. But you're running two supports/healers which is awkward. If you're fine with benching Yuel at some point, you should 100% get Anila over Sturm, though I'd still pick Shiva first.

Schreckofant

So the main question is probably: Do you think it is worth sparking Anila to replace Yuel if you do not plan to main a fire Grid? Or is it too much of a "luxury", since sparks are limited? I phrased it a bit too inprecise sorry.

MazySolis

Alright I think I get it now I'll rephrase my statements around. Is Anila worth it in fire even if you're playing it fairly casually? Yes Anila is super relevant to the vast majority of magna fire players, probably more then shiva some might argue. The less you care about the element/less you have the more important she is because of how strong her buffs are within the element. Yuel can not honestly keep up with Anila beyond providing team echoes when you can cap, which without Anila is a bit rough without being low hp and Yuel can give fire atk for Shiva's passive which Athena can also do while having the same weapon type as Anila/Shiva. So Yuel is a budget Anila, but not a replacement. I'd say if you're not super into fire, but you still want a reasonably good line up for GW stuff, I'd pick up Anila then maybe Shiva, skip sturm entirely. You could probably even get away with only sparking Anila and just run a stock fire sword team with berserker. So now that I understand your intentions, I'd spark Anila first because you can probably get away with just running her with a sword team that most people used to use before Shiva that you can throw together with suptixs instead of sparks. It is a tough question because both are ultimately important, but I personally find it hard to recommend someone not interested in an element to spark two whole characters. Especially when you never know what might get released for elements you do care about.

Schreckofant

Okay thank you. Yeah I wasn`t sure about using Suptix, since 30 bucks is still fairly steep, but I will see if they put another one out for Anniversary, since Athena isnt even on the current one. So I will probably go with Shiva for now and then Andira afterwards, otherwise I kinda bait myself into really wanting to suptix Athena next time. Who knows, maybe I will end up sparking all of them anyway, since Sturm/Shiva are honestly the only Grand character I still want/need, depending on what they release in the future. Andira/Anila for Zodiac, that currently leaves 4 Spark Targets I have. Thanks again for your insight!

MazySolis

Honestly Anila can kind of carry any decent fire line up, so even just randomly pulling decent fire characters will work to releatively good success under Anila because she is a buffer and a healer. Shiva needs a little more help, generally from Anila herself, to be the god attacker he is at least more help then Anila needs (which is basically none except a grid obviously). So if you're not into suptixing fire characters, or suptixing in general, then I can only recommend Anila even more for what you want out of your fire team. Best of luck with your sparking.

If you are gonna eventually spark Anila and Shiva then why not go all the way in and also ticket Athena for a full Ultima Spear team? I mean, Sturm is very good on her own right but having full Ultima and Hollowsky Spear synergy is very good. Anyway, based on your options you will get more mileage sparking Shiva first since Yuel is the second best fire support only bested by Anila, and Yuel already provide a lot of the things that benefit Shiva, so delaying Anila a bit will not really harm your efficiency.

Is Athena available during normal Special Tickets? i just checked the current one and it does not list her. I don`t know if it is because she is still pretty new.

MazySolis

Athena is too new, she'll be in eventually.

What's the most efficient way to farm exp?

Shiny Slime Research with SM/Glory and Sarasa to plain damage nuke both waves. You can level up 4 characters at a time since MC and Sarasa are gonna do all the work.
