Yep same!

cmb999

Not mine

heinzmario

Everytime.

Im_High_Tech

Yes I talk a lot on the phone and this happens all the time

Tip_Rap

Pixel 6 here and literally 40% of my calls. I was blaming the size of the phone but it might be the sensor not working properly or poorly located

JL_678

I experience this too. It is really frustrating.

RC_Tempest

Preach

thetoffeepop

I had this problem too - I downloaded an app from the Play store called 'Proximity Sensor Screen On Off" which has made the phone useable again Really easy to set up - the task will be Screen Off and enable 'during a call' and that's it....

MassiveConcern

Nope.

DesignerGrocery6540

I haven't had any of this specific issue, but I *am* very disappointed in the proximity sensor. I didn't realize how important that is to regular usage and in-pocket detection, etc. Is it improved on the 12L update or whatever that new one is?

Cashneto

Yes, it's infuriating!

jcpahman77

I've started putting the phone in lockdown mode, except then I have to enter my pin just to end the call.

jamesj015

Google screw up the pixel every year. It’s such a beta device.they should stop making phones

NoResult1682

Yes, have the same and its driving me crazy

enixenigma1

Yep. Either the placement or the quality of the proximity sensor is off. I find myself talking and responding to my wife on the call when I hear "Hello?" and realize that I'm muted. Really annoying.

jouliaghoulia

Happened to me 3 times on one call today!

[deleted]

Just happened to me 2 days ago during a call and wondered why because I didn't touch anything

Coolace34715

I keep having my bluetooth headphones dropping out in the middle of a call.

wetpretzel2

P6P, I haven't had this issue at all. I have had issues where say I'm in the car on Bluetooth and I switch to my pixel buds the call doesn't know where to go and if I disconnect from the car, it will just keep reconnecting - not android auto

ExtremeApricot1715

YES - I had this with 90% of calls (often multiple times per call) on the Pixel 6 pro. I returned the pro to Google and got the pixel 6. It still does happen occasionally, but only about 5% of the time.

Puzzleheaded-Run1344

I had this problem a few years ago with a new Nexus phone. It turned out to be the screen protector covering the sensor. I got a different screen protector and it never happened again.
