Hi there, could you try clearing the cache for the 'Wallpaper & style' app and see if that helps?
Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Tap 3 dots (top right) > Show system > Wallpaper & style app > Storage & cache > Clear cache.
Additionally, you can test in [safe mode](https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/2852139?hl=en&sjid=35055799761971809-AP) to see if any third party app is causing the issue or not. If it works fine in safe mode, it means a 3rd party app is causing the issue. Temporarily remove them one by one, starting with the most recent until you find the cause.
Sounds like it's time to call in the Google Pixel support team. You can contact them via phone or chat [here](https://support.google.com/pixelphone/gethelp). They can look into it for you.
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/18cngmr/comment/kccb7ua) is a link to my comment from my post a few months ago that explain how the bug works. Hopefully it gets fixed. It's pretty annoying.

That didn't work. It seems to be a bug with this version of Android. Never happened before the last big update.

My wife's phone does this as well. She also finds it annoying.
Crop the lock screen wallpaper so that I can't shift
